Thank you very very much, this was extremely informative. For more than seven months now I've been experiencing severe muscle ache and bone pain. after hearing this presentation I begin supplementing with mm international units of vitamin D; and shortly thereafter I began to notice an improvement. Today I started a regiment of 5000 international units per day for the next two weeks, and believe it or not, at the end of the day, I feel twice as good as I did when I was taking the 2000 international units a day. I have bought his book at least 15 times and gave it away. I share his Lectures. I have many friends that were low and had health issues that have gotten 100 percent improvements when they got their vitamin D levels up to 40 or more. I had mine at 80 and was good. But I have taken less and now I am reviewing his data again and back on 50K a week. I was at 32 when I first started taking it. There is good science, there is okay science and there is junk science. When someone like Holick is attacked you have to look at why. Who has the most to lose? Big Pharm and doctors that need sick patients. Holick met with me in Boston in 2016 and spend time with me. We talked about a lot of research. He is an amazing dedicated great guy. Love him and admire his work which is over 40 years. We could blow the world up seven times. If we wiped out 3rd world countries we'd look like the bullies we are. Now we have an over abundance of uneducated, poor and minorities that wars could have gotten rid of ( Sarcasm). The government has been paying people for years to do research on health. In the pandemic, the media talks over and over about politics and "science", yet don't often understand the specific medical science involved in inflammation. Areas noted by plastic surgeons that should receive extra (shade) protection especially for cosmetic
reasons later, are, for women: Face, Neck, Chest "V", and back of Hands. The skin is thinner in those areas and prone to greater exposure/ breakdown, overtime. For men, it is generally the top of head/forehead area (ie., esp. those with loss of hair), nose, top of ears, and back of neck, areas that receive the most exposure/ shows breakdown, first. Repeated over exposure/sunburns (golf/outdoor occupations), etc., are typically the contributors.
However research also shows a lack of Antioxidants in the Diet may play a role, too.
Plastic Surgeons generally are not the doctors recommending head to toe SPF coverage, as noted. That would be the dermatologists.
But to be fair, these derms often see the worst of the worst, in terms of patients with terrible skin cancers.
As it is with many things, the "cause" is not always as it seemingly appears. True for all areas of life.
It's been observed that one serving/ bowel of blueberries can give the skin about 30+/- minutes of natural SPF 15 protection. Wow! So Maybe the problem has-been Diet all along? And not getting too much Sun (in terms of skin cancer), after all?
Well it takes the good work of scientists like Dr Holic and others to sort out all these details.
Once again, it looks like our original Designer was pretty smart after all.

@@maricamaas5555 You're in denial or insane. ID is not science, it is more a philosophical or religious movement popular among fundamentalist Christians with a propensity for obesity and a yen for fairy tales. Evolutionary theory has great explanatory and predictive qualities that are used in biological sciences and medicine every day. The federal case of Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School District found that Stephen Meyer's work was not science. This is why Christian apologistists never take correction, because with time people forget and there is always a new generation of people that has not learned about the failures of ID and creationism. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig. Its been over 1900 years, I think it's a safe bet to take that Jesus stood you up. Be better. Maybe actually learn about science, the scientific method, confirmation bias and logic, especially logical fallacies like circular reasoning and argumentum ad baculum.

I'd say you were lucky to be allergic to statins. It's the biggest scam since insulin for Type 2 diabetes. SO harmful with a .5 to 1.5% (yes!) benefit! You could get from eating an apple or taking a walk. And that pitiful benefit is ONLY for people who have already had a heart attack! So don't you think Some of those people started exercising and/or eating better? I begged my s-i-l (who had no issues but age 57) not to take it. She started getting terrible leg pains, she said it must be from her new winter boots. I begged her again to stop. Finally she did. The leg pains went away. She still wears the boots, no problems. I have studied health and nutrition for 45 years. Please people, DON'T take this crap.

Eight real well and 5 moderately and those are people with prior heart issues. It doesn't benefit African Americans, women or the elderly. It only really benefit middle aged caucasian males. Perhaps that is why you only see them in the commercials. By the way if you aren't a middle aged caucasian male , you are more likely to end up with diabetes.

Cynthia, you may want to cut back on your milk consumption if it comes out of a cow. There's a joke about how every time they do a milk study they use skim milk. Most people don't drink skim milk. The reason that they use skim milk is that they want you to be around at the end of the study. The bovine growth hormone in milk will mess most people up in time. Most of us loose the ability to break down lactic acid after we turn 2.

Striking how many failures before achieving success... Perseverance wins the race!
Interesting that lack of Vit D in women during growth years reduces the size of the pelvic structure; thereby causing problems to give birth naturally. With women only allowed limited amount of C-sections; sunscreen lotion on young growing girls yet another way to reduce population by hampering bone growth; this besides for reducing fertility in general as explained... sigh.
How can it be that Statin use has no effect on Vit D production, and why still projecting fear to sun exposure while promoting sun block lotions? Seems obvious that less Cholesterol available in skin would result in less D manufactured; with low fat diets, Cholesterol lowering drugs and limited sun exposure contributing factors?

Now you have a major University pushing this crap! It's a proven fact that the human body evolved and was designed so that one day thousands of years later, the pharmaceutical industry would come up with substances not found in nature that cure the human body.
