I got a 2022 XC40 -R yesterday. So for the groceries bottom exposure, what you do is remove the top trunk cover and flip it upside down and it fits inside the bottom. It acts a temporary floor board so you don’t see the tire and wires. I hope this helps.
Great review- I love my 2021 XC40. I really appreciate your description of the driving dynamics and the polestar tuning. I’ve debated adding the polestar tuning, but was leaning towards no. Your description confirms that decision. I would add that I find the interior minimalistic but quite refined and premium. Id say the xc40 interior is nicer than other luxury subcompacts that use more plastic and aren’t as well built. Also you’re a very clear communicator and you don’t speak too fast at all. 👍🏼
I have the 2019 XC40 and when I lift up the part for the groceries I have a cover. I saw a comment that said they use the trunk top cover but I do not need to do that. My truck top cover is in use and I still have a cover there.
I have the T4 R Design and its economical for what it is! I had a T5 as a Loaner and damn does it GUZZLE GAS! lol I traveled only 20 miles yes the power is more immediate and the AWD is nice, but is not necessary for a daily commuter
I live in Colorado and take this on 14er mountain 4WD trailheads all the time (ex. Crestone Peak/Needle/Humbolt is a particularly challenging 4WD road). The XC40 has 8.3" of ground clearance, the same as a Chevy Colorado truck, but with a shorter wheelbase. The descent control 4WD feature works really well. Lastly, something that many people won't realize Volvo put in sacrificial cross-members on the underbody. The bolt holes for the beams are elongated so that if the beam is struck by a rock, it will bend and protect the underbody exhaust, transmission, etc. The XC40 is really a good offroad car.
I think he meant he would never. It's only supposed to be in off-road mode when you are going 30 mph or less and in rough terrain. That's a fairly rare use-case for a luxury sub-compact.
So, is it true that only electric XC40's get the Android-based UI and the gas variants will only have the Sensus UI? I played around in an electric XC40 recently and loved how much more responsive the Android-based system is vs. what I have in my T5 (Sensus). I sincerely hope Volvo commutes the Android system to the non-electric variants.
I bought new one xc 40 b3 mild hybrid 2 months ago. Straight away I have issues with kers system. Service changed few components due to noise while braking. Now latest they ordered ISGM Module and problem takes 2months and still ongoing. Not to mention their customer service isnt the best either. Bad experience so far. Will be my last volvo for sure.
Always like the way Volvos look. Just a confusing brand. 🤷🏼♂️ Thor is from Asgard. Volvo puts a Swedish flag on their vehicle, but it’s a Chinese brand (Geely). And the XC40 is either manufactured in Belgium or China.
Make a pause while you speak, it makes it too stressful, it is a suggestion, speak slower with some pauses and change it a more comfortable video please

Hey! I have a cover on mine without having to use the trunk top cover. I have the 2019 XC40. You may be missing your floorboard/cover
I absolutely love my 2020 XC40. The T4 does lack a little bit of power, so thinking of upgrading to T5, but it’s been incredibly solid and reliable.
For the price of getting AWD and more power, the T5 is a must-have upgrade in our opinion.
I have the T5. 0-60 in ~6 sec. It will really haul.

The T4 (Badged B4) in the UK has 197 bhp. It's quick enough in real-world driving.

At 6:39 it isn’t brilliant if you have the heater on it can ruin an expensive leather handbag
Why would you never use the off road mode? Seems like the car does great in dirt and snow.

Love this suv…almost ready to drive it.

I’m looking at the Momentum or the Toyota Rav 4. I can’t decide.

Curious of owners feedback now, 2 yrs later.

Volvo is a Swedish company bought a few years ago by Geely.
@@motor1144 also the volvo's made in China are for the Asian market only.
Totally false Volvos sold in US & European markets are manufactured in Gent, Belgium and the Asian market produced in China.
My Volvo is being made in Sweden ✅

Not the best review. You need some polishing.
