I've had mine for almost 4 months now...it's the denim blue too, blonde interior with the wheel package just like this one you reviewed. Absolutely love it! Fun review to watch! 🙂
Good review of the new xc40. Not a bad size but I appreciate the xc60, that sits pretty between the xc90 and xc40. Overall I love Volvos. I’m on my second xc60. Great review!!!
I really like how you research what's standard equipment and what's optional, it's very useful, pretty much every XC40 review is fully loaded and if you haven't spent time in the configurator it's very easy to be mislead into thinking most of the options are standard, and then when it comes time to spec your XC40 you see the price and you're in for a shock. And i've just recently put in a order for a 22 model in momentum advanced trim, very excited to ditch my history of cheap hatchbacks as daily drivers.
I have a 2020 XC40 R design T4 FWD fully loaded with all the tech! and find every excuse to drive it now :) LOVE IT! very happy with it! Volvo has really stepped it up with the CMA PLATFORM!
I am going to drive and test one on Saturday and if my budget would have allowed it to permit a better model, I d surely get it in fusion red with blond seats... But either I can get a momentum in white or a full option VW T-Cross Style full option for my budget... Gonna be a tough choice
@@juli8vdberg562 let us know how it goes! Yea make sure it fits your needs and budget :) I didn’t need the awd necessarily and I was able to drive in winter no deep snow conditions in fwd with all seasons.
@@KuyaArbee I will. This morning I test drove a VW T-Cross Style and it was nothing but a pretty design on 4 wheels with a really good engine, but the interior was anything worthy the money and energy, plus the ugly design on dashboard resembling Islamic design of mathematical patterns reminding me of mosques and all that, I felt like sitting on a very bumpy chariot pulled by two strong Ox 's and every cobblestone and all I felt and despite great soundsystem, I had to speak loud with mom... Let us hope XC40 won't disappoint.. I am used to be driving a 2004 XC90 with Turbo engine and very complete until it became too old and expensive with new roadtaxes and insurance, so.... I will also test drive a Kia Xceed next week

It's not the C30 that they should've made, but I've liked this ever since it debuted. Was really nice to test at LA Auto Show and everything just felt solid and right.
Depends which version you get, I just got the inscription, it comes with apple car play and android auto...although that may also depend on which country you are in as well as I’m not in the states.
The main thing I'd like to see Volvo do with the XC40 for 2022 is to take the aesthetically pleasing blue carpeting and trim from the C40 and put it in the XC40.
Thank you so much for your thoroughly great review.... And my God, what a gorgeous color... I must admit that Volvo somehow always has these beautiful colors no other car brand has... Which one is this one exactly?
@@Realistick you really are one of the best every reviewers so far... Easy on the eye, cute and very well able to explain without noisy music or too much bragging etc etc... I love Fusion Red too but for here in Paris, I better go for Denim Blue (btw, I may still go for a lesser car for the reason in Paris we not only have crazy driving as drivers but also bikers and cyclists who are anti suv and kick in the car at stop light or while passing by, they did that to my XC90 a few times, but never to my Citroën C4!
@@juli8vdberg562 Thank you, I appreciate it, and that is so weird that they would kick your SUVs, in America we usually have it the opposite. @@Realistick unbelievable and I didn't know that, no wonder why the so called richest nation on Earth, has its power cuts in Texas with some snow and we had all our canals lakes etc frozen for 10 days and nothing never occurred... I can't believe that states with abundance of sun and wind or water never use them for a better life and nature, but only cling in to fossil fuels and those massive trucks or big homes,... France may not be a richest nation anymore but we have nuclear power, lots of wind and solar already and in Netherlands being my home country, they already have trouble fueling all these electric cars and 30% of homes are using solar panels already, my home there is 100% energy neutral and produces energy as well for others, and that in a place with hardly 100 sunny days a year... I love XC40 because they already went into fully electric great engines and different than Tesla, which builds plants across Europe like near Berlin by first cutting millions of trees for the buildings to come... Of course the trees must fuel their ugly cars too.. But yes, my XC90 was being kicked out or vomited on or scratches, that I went for a Citroën and now can't choose between XC40 or a VW T-Cross that is more fuel efficient and as comfy but less majestically cute
@@Realistick I tested it and what a massive difference with VW Tcross (super stiff and cheap materials even I drove a R line),Jeep Renegade (quite a surprising lovely car), and Kia Xceed (truly fun and loved it), but then chosen for a big smile for XC40 Momentum to keep it in a budget
How is the noise insulation in the XC40? I'm getting quite worn out by the poor noise insulation in my X1 (F48 generation) but I was told that the XC40 doesn't fare really well in NVH as well.
I didn't think it was surprisingly good but I found it to be more than adequate for the class. If you’re coming from an X1, I think you will probably find the xc40 to be quiet, just not ground breakingly so.
Hey mate, lit upload as always! Best wishes with your university/job and good luck with your channel as well. Its very high quality I entered university last year and I know how hard it is to manage time, still high quality content. Funny lines and nice cuts XD Thanks. Hmm, I might actually make a video like that soon, I was planning on doing a pit bull pit stop episode 3 where I talk about car purchasing, but I might just tailor that to first cars, I feel like that is a good area to cover! Also, check out the mazda3 or mazda axela if you can get those there, they are also super reliable, more so than a 8th gen civic (I owned one and made a review on one "2007 Honda civic si review"). I recommend the mazda, Honda or Toyota though!

My impressions were that it looks very similar, slightly more compact feeling and the materials are about 90 percent as good as the xc60 and it's a little more noisy.
