Any vehicle requiring premium gasoline is a no buy for me. Thats another 50 to 75 cents more per gallon over regular and regular gas is $5.40 per gallon here in Northwest Oregon. Our 2022 RAV 4 Prime has 14:1 compression ration and runs great on regular 87 octane (contains10% ethanol ). Last trip just on gas was 49.5 mpg. I
and do you think that ethanol is good for your engine? so, u had money for a new Rav 4 but u do not have money for quality gasoline? in my country we pay 8.44 $ for a galon of 95 octane.....
@@Luciano-IL In most US locations finding gasoline without ethanol is extremely difficult. It’s usually at independent stations. The corn lobby is powerful. They are trying to increase the %.
@@steveo8533 the cost to benefit ratio, especially with todays gas prices, are not good enough to switch to premium. The Volvo xc40 will run as mechanical sound with regular as it would with premium, and the increased mph from using premium is like 1-3 miles more (virtually nothing).
Ride comfort is still decent, but I agree, Volvo often has wheels that are too large. We just had an S90 with 35 aspect ratio tires, put bulges in both sidewalls from one pothole within 10 minutes.
What i do not understand is why in Israel we have only 95 octane without ethanol at all?we have also 98 octane but most of us use 95.Why America are still using 87 and 91 octane? and there is really a difference? We do not use AWD and winter tires because we do not need here.

All vehicles that “require premium fuel” will run the exact same with regular- just probably a little less mpg
Premium is not only better for your engine you also get better performance and you get more mpg

Is Kroger gas top tier. Winter or summer blend?
i really like xc40... but those wheels are huge, way too big. how is it with ride comfort on bad roads?

You are right.i think that 18 inch were enough. but they put 19....

Corn subsidies.
I think the ratings are different. Many places overseas use RON instead of AKI that the U.S. uses.
@@lukeheffernan yes Luke, u are right. our 95 octane is 91 in america and our 98 is 95 in america. but 98 is much more expensive....
have you seen uk fuel prices?
