    • @slowtalker
      @slowtalker 3 роки тому +5

      I don't know why nobody does that. If I were a member of a famous band, I would surely share my settings, show how to play specific riffs or even whole songs. It would only help me and my band. Now we have softwares to understand better each note, but when I was a beginner, I would give up trying to learn a song without available correct tabs.

    Kiko, you seem to have a natural ability to teach people. You always have a positive, encouraging approach in your videos. Definitely different for a guy that plays in a metal band, especially for a guitarist that shreds like you do. I’ve always liked Dave’s musical prowess, and I think everyone’s lucky that he chose you to be on board.

    The Neural guys are amazing people. While I'm long term using my Helix for stuff because it is integrated so well into my setup I had a lot of conversations with these guys during the process of the development of the Quad Cortex and specifically to try to make the eventual editor software more accessible for the blind. They gave it a shot and I think will keep trying at it off and on as it develops more. Great seeing you using a peace of gear like that on stage and giving these guys some very high profile love and exposure to new markets. Keep doing your thing brother

    It makes me glad that I just got a multieffect pedal with amps and cabinets simulators and I thought of using the same old school concept of "having" one amp and cabinet, and just adding the different effects to the same one "amp and cab", and seeing Kiko, (one of childhood idols) doing it the same way. Obviously, I cannot compare myself to Kiko, but it makes me think I'm doing something right, if I'm doing the same thing he's doing.

      I’m also wondering the same thing. I doubt they’re solid state since they’ll over power a 300 watt cab. My guess would be Mesa-Simul 2:Ninety or VHT/Fryette 2902. Just a guess. Hopefully someone chimes in that knows.

    • @07BSPtC
      @07BSPtC 2 роки тому

      @@danrao3707 many people are using solid state amps simply for headroom. They aren’t cranking it and sending 700w to the cab. Remember. Fender needs 200w to simulate a 40w tube amp. Basically 4x as much power. 700w amps do 350 into an 8 ohm cab which is a bit less than 4x 100w.

    I love the simplicity of this setup, but I have a question for anyone who can answer. From what I understand, to get smooth transitions from one preset to another you need to use the Scene mode and include all the devices in that scene. But it looks like Kiko has every sound set up as a separate preset. So, is the midi controlled switching as smooth as scene changes? Because otherwise I would expect a delay in fast switches between presets. I will appreciate any insight on this.

    • @nicebluejay
      @nicebluejay 3 роки тому +2

      actually it's all automated by time code he just said using a program called digital performer that is initiated at the start of each song. i presume the drummer uses a click track and all the patch changes occur at precisely the right time throughout any given song. i also assume that dave would have to have a similar type of setup. you can't have a bunch of dudes stomping pedals backstage the whole show, but that would be funny though seeing a few guys jumping around doing that.

    I didn’t think you would ever play a Les Paul, Kiko. What kind are you playing exactly? Is it a newer model or vintage? All the best on your tour!

      It looked like a les Paul modern

    Thanks Kiko for everything, congratulations! Sorry to ask, but is there any chance that you play on a show that Guitar with the Burning Love Pyro artwork which is written "Megadeth" and has Vic Rattlehead drawn on it? That guitar is a piece of art!

    Em breve ninguém mais usará pedais ou amps. O valor de uma boa coleção de pedais e um bom amp, paga um equipamento desses que sintetiza tudo, mais fácil de transportar e montar/desmontar.
    É incrível onde a tecnologia nos leva.

      Exatamente. Infelizmente muitos ainda torcem o nariz para as novidades tecnológicas, mas vendo as grandes bandas aderindo esses equipamentos mostra o quanto vale a pena testar e se modernizar.

    In the end, is there no more space for improvisation during the concert, isn't it too clinical to have everything pre-programmed?
    What if you miss an intro?
    Making the concert the same means bringing the same pleasure to all audiences, but does that make the concert and the moment unique?
    How do you experience this concert rehearsal?
    Of course politically correct, you will answer me that everything is unique but there are concerts with less good and others with a surplus of energy.

    I can't imagine not being in control of your
    own sound. It sounds like his guitar tech is
    in total control of that. I like the sound I heard
    him getting when he was playing back-stage
    through the Quad Cortex in another video.

    On the neural app it seems the amp sims he uses almost all the time are Friedman amp sims. Good choice.

    Setup da hora! Uma sugestão de vídeo seria esses "IEM" que vc captura o áudio do seu monitor e mostra exatamente o que vc ouve durante o show.....

    Hi Kiko, can you please elaborate on your Gibson Les Paul? Which model, modded or stock, which song do you use it and why?
    In your opinion, what you gain, opposed to the Ibanez, when you use it?
    As Dave is on Gibson now, was that an incentive to use one live?
    Thank you and keep the phenomenal work.
