I bought this about a month ago paying full price at 139 gbp. I read over the specs and could not personally justify spending more money for features I did not care about. I have only ever encountered 1Gb/s speeds at my uni and was blown away by it. When I'm not at accom, I live in rural England where the best option for internet was Three 4G home broadband and I consider myself lucky to have 80Mb/s because we happen to live near a 4G tower.
Those USB 2.0 connections are gold for me! I use older hardware for flight simulation and many of those devices oddly simply don't work on USB 3.2. Nowadays it is even harder to find PCIe expansion cards with USB 2.0, they all come with USB 3.2, so, this will probably be my next mainboard.
I personally, for this mobo, see the Gen 5 NVME removed for Gen 4 and boost a couple rear usb to 3.0 from 2.0 and change one of the PCI-E x1 slots to x4 and agree drop the price about £20/$35AUD for it to be competitive. In addition drop the old school mouse/keyboard port 😝🤣👍. The rest of the feature seem good enough for most users and as mentioned, in this budget range buyers aren’t going utilise a Gen 5 NVME and would use more budget NVME drives for mass storage and 3 is vg for this mobo!
Personally I just got one and I would love to see a full build guide with one of these since I am currently having issues with the dram and the bios set up. Since now I have a built computer that doesn’t work😢
Unusual choices on this motherboard. So many usb 2s on IO, plus 3x usb 2 ports on mb begs question why! Qflash button hidden on mb is odd too. 3x m.2s is great but has this impacted the pcie lanes as x1 not much use? Better pcie 4 surely so gives more usability to extra slots on mb! Must be better Gigabyte options at similar price. Thanks Mike and Kath 🐈👍

I have never had a Gigabyte board, but it does seem a bit odd. MSI I wouldn't buy again, customer service is IMO poor. Asrock would be my choice.
asrock are okay but the fan control and rgb software is the worst i have ever seen
@@mikesunboxing But controlling fans and RGB from the motherboard, is usually not the best option.
My bluetooth doesn't work with this motherboard ... wifi neither.
Any suggestions?
is it enabled in the bios? and have you installed the chipset drivers and motherboard drivers
@@mikesunboxing Yes I did. In device manager I can also see there is bluetooth.
Do i have a newer Revsion since i have a pump connector on the side of it ? Sys_Fan_3_Pump 4 pin :)
maybe, they often revise the boards
BTW KeepItTechie uses the same theme music you do Mike.
who is this imposter :-)
Have you heard of Microsoft OOBE?
yes the out of box experience
Can i use the Nvme Samsung 990 evo gen 4x4, 5x2 on this mobo?
yes you can use it, but only at 4x4 speeds
What would be a better alternative for Germany
msi b650 gaming plus wifi
@@mikesunboxing is it much better for 25€ more ?
Can I put a 4060 on it?
yes you can
@@mikesunboxingTHANKS! 🙏🏼
Do not buy this board. Died after 2 weeks.
sorry to hear that
R.I.P
Is that a ps2 connection...yea no
PS2 is still really useful & comes in handy for Diagnosing Problems as it doesn't require drivers to work properly like USB
I still have a PS2 Keyboard for this purpose
I would not purchase Gygabyte. ASUS is by far the Best. ❤
ASUS is literally scamming people with RMA denials as we speak. Not to mention slow ram speeds on alot of their "gaming" builds.
All Mobo manufacturers have serious issues and always have.
I’m having a lot of issues with this stupid mobo from Gigabyte
@@BlazeFire1995_yt I have the exact same one and had no issues.
Then again I rushed the build and never updated it, plus Im using an older ryzen 5 chip.
@@jodo2785 thank you for letting me know Brother and also I found out that it is a VGA issue when I tried to put in the PCIE lane
For me everything works but im getting very slow transfer speeds using Any usb port any usb device.
