I just finished a build with this MB. The M.2 heatsink is huge! Unfortunately it lost out to my Thermaltake Silent 12 cooler for space because it was so tall. It wouldn't allow the locking latch to clip down the cooler. Thankfully I had purchased a 1TB Crucial P5 Plus M.2 w/ a heatsink. I'm still tweaking but I'm really happy with this "work" computer. I've been "testing" with Starfield and Metro for the past week. I went with TeamForce (2x16Gb) DDR5 6000Mhz. I did have a strange issue in Metro when I would walk away or looked away from a NPC I lost their audio. I had also lost the audio on the firearms. So it was like having a suppressor installed. Turns out it was from the Realtek audio driver updates. I had to switch the audio output from 5.1 surround sound back to stereo in order to correct it.

Hello. I have the same board, and I also could not find information about the bottleneck in the very first top slot under the m2 ssd. I assembled a completely new computer, as a result I installed one disk in the first slot, the video card does not cut the lines, the RTX 4070Ti video card works in PCIe 16x 4.0 mode in full mode. Why Ram on A2 and B2 slots? Why not A1 and A2 or A1 and B1 ? Is it due to Cooler space problem? So my question is which is the best slots for Ram (A2-B2 or A1-B1 or A1A2) Second if I am not planning for K, KF processors, does it worth to buy higher Mhz Ram (like i5 14500 only supports 4800Mhz, So any use to buy 6000Mhs Ram? ) Thanks

@@brucebob3190 Actually, having a cooler on the CPU is how they discovered the issue. I had the same problem , did U solve it ?
Has anybody tried to run a 14th Gen i7 13700K on this MOBO? It looks like Aorus released an updated BIOS firmware recently that ensures compatibility, but wanted confirmation if anybody has tried this.
1st SSD boot drive/OS on SATA port 2, Secondary HDD for storage on SATA port 4, slow boot when connecting Secondary. This I would love to hear how you understood what SATA to connect to
will I need to worry bout the aio cooling cable not being long enough? If I’m using the kraken 360
I returned the £390 Aero G for this. the aero is giving me heart problems with the 4070 not running at anything over pcie 1.1 really strange issue nearly killed me
what is the vertical video card adapter used ?
Nice video bro, did u have to flash the bios fir the 13k ?
No

Why Ram on A2 and B2 slots? Why not A1 and A2 or A1 and B1 ? Is it due to Cooler space problem? I am going to build something like this, and my concern - while checking lots of reviews is that with coolers fixed, especially big Air coolers Ram will be littlie hard to put in all slots. So my question is which is the best slots for Ram (A2-B2 or A1-B1 or A1A2) Second if I am not planning for K, KF processors, does it worth to buy higher Mhz Ram (like i5 14500 only supports 4800Mhz, So any use to buy 6000Mhs Ram? ) Thanks
I was just building a setup with this motherboard but i cant find a jfp1 input i have looked in the manual but cant find it there either can anybody who have this motherboard please help Me find it

what type of standoffs does one use to attach this motherboard to a CorsairR motherboard ?
Moving from a 10600k to a 13600k later in the year. I don't need or want to pay for wi fi, so options are limited.
did you have problems installing the aio cooling?
Great vid. I've just bought one of these and an i7 13700. Do you know if a ak620 cooler will fit on this motherboard?
I have the same - my i7 13700 is cool enough with the peerless assassin air cooler BUT, and a big BUT, I do not game. I only use lightroom and photoshop so i don't stress CPU
Yes it will, I have it. Same mobo with 13700k and AK620. It fit and run cool enough, however a downside i have gotten with this set up is without Air conditioning room, the PC will overheat to the point of shutdown if both GPU and CPU usage are over 50%+
People say there is horrible coil wine? Also, ok to install boot ssd in single slot (cpu) above the gpu? Thankz
Is there a conflict with using name ssd at the top losing pcie lanes to the GPU
I liked this review but didn't hear or havn't seen anything related to its amp-up audio and codec
Thank you for the feedback. I'll keep that in mind in future.
If I use the top nvme port, can I still get 16 lined to the graphic cards PCI 5 bus ?
Which desktop case is better for this Motherboard?
did you use the lianli rgb controller for al the fans or did you connect everything on the motherbord?
I’ve had some very bad experience with gigabyte mobos. When I got my first one all of the cpu pins were bent beyond repair. And the other had a screwed up ssd slot

please tell this time work with the i9-14900k 14th i order it but i’m seeing is compatible with 13th generation
What is the difference between ax and ax-w?
Thanks for the video. The audio doens't have much bass to it. Anyway to improve it? I've uninstalled and reinstalled the driver. Anything else you'd suggest? Thanks!

Does it support i5 14600k?
Should do but you might need a bios update
Okay hmm I got the same mobo and ddr5 6,000 so it should work just lower it ?
do we need cpu contact frame on this mobo ?
I upgrading from 5900x and b550 Taichi and I bought i7-14700k and z790 aorus alite ax ddr5.
Iam using my old aorus liquid cooler 360 not the water force
Iam using the old bracket for intel and it worked but the temp is very high
idle is 40c and in mid work is 80c and 90c and on load 103c
should i get anew cooler or this cooler can handle it and go to buy lga 1700 new bracket
Iam regreting the upgrade not so much performance from my old 5900x
They say life span of coolers are 5-10year but I wouldn't go over 5. For the bracket I would use a Thermalright ($8) or Grizzly frame ($30ish). Me i would test out the Thermalright for $8 before gettting a new cooler.
can this mb handles 13900KF undervolted with 32gb of 7600mhz cl36 ram?

are you an overclocker? if so then the master is the better choice

How are the temps with this board
I just returned this mobo to Newegg I had problems with lan and Wi-Fi giving me bsod and it would only boot up with one rams stick vengeance 5600 but will force it down to 4800 even with XMP, what you think was wrong? I sent back the i7 12600K and the mobo. What I have to do on bios to make the mobo accept the ram stick?
I know ram slots are A2 and B2 aka 2nd and 4th from CPU, Bios maybe not current, even possibly incompatible if not on QVC list
Hi! Awesome video I enjoyed watching because I, too, have this motherboard and will be doing a first build. I saw the memory specs during your video, and how they did not say 6400MT/s compatible. Now, I'm a little cautiously worried that my RAM won't work properly. I bought this ram, but haven't installed it yet. -VENGEANCE RGB 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5 DRAM 6400MT/s C32 Memory Kit... Does 13900k or 13600k processors bend in z790 motherboards ?
They do with the default setup. I just bout the "Thermalright Intel 12th/13th Generation LGA1700 Anti-Bending Buckle" for $11 and plan to install it w my 13600K on this mobo.
@@TedBroganI was looking at your comment and wondering, wouldn't it not be an issue once you had a cooler on it?
@@brucebob3190 Actually, having a cooler on the CPU is how they discovered the issue. The tests I remember seeing on Gamers Nexus were done with the same cooler (whatever kind they used) in both cases, and they showed the differences in contact surface via a heat map between the default mechanism and the Thermalright part installed.
@@TedBrogan I might get one, got the 13900k about to go into this board, will it void warranty?
@@brucebob3190 Not sure about warranty, but you should def get one. Once you place it on and see how securely it fits you will understand how simple a design it is. My 13600K idles under 30C and barely ever hits 60C. Love it.
