This is not black metal but man you gotta check out the band Kiuas from Finland, I think you would enjoy their music. They are hard to categorize, their music is a mix of power, death, thrash and folk metal so pretty unique I would say. Check any of their albums out if you have time for it. Stay metal my dude!
1)Beherit - "Drawing Down The Moon" : Just the best finnish Metal album ever for me. Timeless, unique. Fav songs: Sadomatic Rites, The Gate Of Nanna, Summerland, Thou Angel Of The Gods. 2)Archgoat - "The Luciferian Crown" : Flawless discography, love every single artwork they had from French drawer Chris Moyen (who did pretty much 99% of AG visuals), the band I have the biggest amount of merch from. Early recordings are incredible, but starting at Apocalyptic Triumphator it go significantly better, louder and clearer production, catchier riffs... The slow tempos on their 4th full length does it all for me, so evil, massive step up! Fav songs: Darkness Has Returned, Star Of Darkness & Abyss, The Obsidian Flame. 3)Impaled Nazarene - "Ugra Karma" : Classic time, still something that's still to this day rarely matched in violence and brutality, we feel the Death Metal influence while remaining strictly Black Metal, love punk energy, the original "oriental vibe vibe" riffs, the insane screams... Fav songs: Kali Yaga, The Horny And The Horned, Sadistic 666 4)Satanic Warmaster - "Carelian Satanist Madness" : Possessed, raw, yet melodic and melancholic, it's a great tribute to both sides of what Black Metal spirit is, straightforward songs and also great atmospheric moments... Fav songs: The Vampyric Tyrant, Eaten By Rats, True Blackness. 5)Barathrum - "Saatana" : such an important and underrated band, they have really heavy catchy riffs, they know how to mix, we can actually hear every instrument, even the bass, a true delight, too rare in Black Metal. Fav songs: Saatana, Dark Sorceress 2 (Winter Siege), Helluva Agitator 6)Horna - "Sudentaival" : my fav album, but they are so incredibly consistent it could have been at least three other albums, again a mad band Fav songs: Black Metal Sodomy, Synkä Muiston Äärellä 7)Behexen - "By The Blessing Of Satan" : So much good tracks, it's hard to pick a few, in the same spirit as Horna, this album is made to be listened from start to finish in a single time to feel all its evil and occultism run through, really gives me the impression of being in a satanic sect during a ritual when I close my eyes. Fav songs: Fist Of The Satanist, Black Metal Baptism. 8)Warloghe - "The First Possession" : my personal favorite because it's the most violent, satanism-fueled one, but this band proved they can do a lot of different things, criminally underrated, they deserve more visibility. Fav songs: Once More Against The Light, Angelreaper, The End Of All Life
Regardless of subgenre nitpicking, Finland is home to some of my favorite metal around the globe! Bodom (RIP Alexi), Amorphis, 69 Eyes, Hooded Menace, HIM, Insomnium... I'm psyched to get a little darker and a little nastier checking out some bands on this list. Keep up the awesome work, Questy! Havukruunu is my favourite black metal band from Finland 🇫🇮, although I am slowly getting into Satanic Warmaster now that I’m opening my tastes to more politically incorrect artists.
I would highly recommend checking out Vampyric Blood. I would say they are the most underrated band in Finland. Vampyric-themed black metal that has such a cavernous sound that creates the perfect atmosphere. If I did a channel and did end of the year lists, their album Nosferatu...Loveless Nights in Tavastia would have cracked my top 5 for 2022. Any plans to do videos for Ukraine and Canada?

Wyrd is another fantastic Finnish BM band. I mention them all the time in discussions like this because I never see anyone talk about this project, but it's killer. The albums Heathen and Huldrafolk are absolute masterpieces. Finland is doing something right. So much Finnish black metal is top tier. If I were to make a list of my favorite BM bands of all time, it would probably be disproportionately Finnish. Hot(?) take: Satanic Black Devotion is the best Sargeist album.

Definitely agree with all the picks. If i had to add one more, then it would be Catamenia. Along with Dissection, was one of the bands that got me into Melodic Black back in the day. Honorable mention to Suotana.
@@Charles_Anthony yeah it was a shame they changed into this melodeath/gothic kinda lifeless sound after Location: Cold which is a fantastic album imo. Their change began after that album, with The Time Unchained, which is still kinda Melodic Black but lost its flare compared to the previous ones. About Susperia, actually don't know their discography that well ahah, only know 2 or 3 songs by them, need to check out some of their early stuff!

Recently got back from Finland and hate I missed this video before going. I was not familiar with Moonsorrow, but holy hell are they good!
