Missing alot of top bands such as Mokoma and Stam1na, both sing in finnish. From older bands Sentenced should have been on the list as well. It's still playing in radios and it's also inspiration to many metal band that came after.
not only Mokoma and Stam1na, this list misses the like of Turmion Kätilöt aswell. really feel Mert needs to do a reaction to Finnish metal sung in finnish.
Sentenced pitäisi kyllä ehdottomasti olla listalla. Kymmenen joukkoon ei ikävä kyllä mahdu kaikkien kommentoijien lempibändit, kyllä mäkin rankkaisin Sotajumalan tohon top-10:een, tyyliin Finntroll, Sonata Arctica & Nightwish pois, ja Sentenced, Stone & Sotajumala tilalle. Stam1nakin on todella kova, samoin Mokoma, mutta kyllä listan bändit on mun mielestä kovempia. Lisäksi mä uskallan väittää, että folk metalin puolella tunnetuin suomalainen bändi lienee Turisas, ei Finntroll/Ensiferum, vaikka nekin molemmat on kovia, Ensiferum kylläkin paljon kovempi omaan makuuni. Luulisin, että jopa Moonsorrow on finntrollia tunnetumpi maailmalla? Sen lisäksi lista suosii liikaa pelkästään folk-&Power metal -bändejä, meillä on paljon kovaa heviä about joka genreen.. Missä kunnon bläkkis tai dödis? Thrashiakin meiltä toki löytyisi, ja deathrasia yms.. :) Miten kukaan ei muista esimerkiksi STONE:a? Suomen historian kovimpia thrash metal -bändejä (tai ainakin 2 ekaa levyä.. :D ). Sotajumala puolestaan on mun mielestä ehdottomasti kovimpia, ellei kovin dödisbändi, mut nää on sit just niitä makuasioita. :D Ja mun mielestä kyllä myös esim deathchain on kovempi, kuin moni listan tilulilu-/kiljumishevibändeistä. :D
Onorable bands mention : SENTENCED, POISONBLACK, H.I.M., LORDI, CHARON, TO DIE FOR, TAROT, CATAMENIA, KALMAH, LULLACRY, NORTHER, SINERGY, THE 69 EYES, THE BLACK LEAGUE, STONE, TURISAS, TIMO TOLKKI`S PROJECTS and mannnnnyyyyyy more. Hail to Finland from Romania!!!!

Another great finnish band for similar vibes is Ghost Brigade. One of the more known all time greats missing from here is Sentenced.
It was btw Tarja Turunen singing (referring to Nightwish), not Floor Jansen 😊 Worth checking out more of Tarja’s performances. Also worth checking out is Battle Beast! They are great fun (in my opinion). Their lead vocalist Noora Louhimo has a great voice.
The clips selected on the video made the bands seem less diverse than they actually are. The bands on the list have been around for decades and done different kind of songs during that time so also their own music can be quite diverse and difficult to sum up in just one 15 sec sample. The best genre is of course the symphonic, post-apocalyptic, reindeer-grinding, Christ-abusing, extreme, war, pagan, Fennoscandic metal (From a comedy movie 'Heavy Trip').
Wintersun, Ensiferum, and Mors Principium Est need to be mentioned in this conversation. \m/ Two current members of Nightwish, Kai and Jukka, are also (maybe, still hahaha if Wintersun still exists) in Wintersun.
I'm okay with the list, though I think Battle Beast should have been on it. I recommend that you check out the Nightwish song that was on this list. It's really good. It's called Wismaster and the live performance is from a concert called End of an Era. It also includes Nightwish's original singer, Tarja Turunen😊
Thanks for entertaining me & also promoting Finnish metal. Finland is the metal kingdom of the world with little over 700 metal bands per 1M citizens. No other country comes even close- e.g. the US has about 70/1M.
If you are also interested in the so-called "battle metal" and "viking metal" style in addition to folk metal, I recommend checking out the Turisas band. 😉

If you liked Sonata Arctica, Battle Beast, Beast in Black, Amberian Dawn and The Dark Element should have been on your list. Even if some bands have only partly Finnish members.
I recommend Children of Bodom. Aleksi Laiho was one of the best guitar player in the whole world and he died few years ago in his forties. Try Are you dead yet.

As a metalhead and kind of specialized into Finnish Metal (because they are easiest to see live here in Finland) this is a surprisingly good list. Of course there are no wrong answers in musical opinions. Insomnium (solid),Finntroll (fun),Korpiklaani (my favourite band in the world),Ensiferum (solid),Sonata Arctica (excellent example of finnish power metal),Amorphis (solid, heh thats kinda funny since Amorphis is originally misspelled amorphous which is opposite of solid),Apocalyptica(fun),Stratovarius (the band that got me into metal over 20 years ago),Children of Bodom (were a great band,I think they were the closest band to make it big in america of all finnish bands in history),Nightwish (literally the best selling finnish artist or band of all time of any genre). I obviously got like 100 bands I could mention here but let's say you might want to check out some of the following : pioneers of finnish metal from the 80s (Tarot and Stone probably the best ones), Sarcofagus released 2 first finnish metal albums in 1980 but I think they are more like a curiosity than great, good for their time, some say finnish black metal is top ones if not the best in the world (Horna,Sargeist,Barathrum,Azaghal,Enochian Crescent,Impaled Nazarene,Satanic Warmaster,Ajattara,Baptism,Goatmoon,Behexen,Alghazanth),Moonsorrow (most epic band of finland),Waltari (easily switches genre midsong and back),Turmion Kätilöt (popular industrial metal, not sure if you like it if you dont know finnish),Rotten Sound (best grindgore band I have heard), solid ones if not great so basically honourable mentions of bands that i have listened over 100 songs of : (Sotajumala,Lordi,Mokoma,Swallow the Sun,Bloodred Hourglass,Deathchain,Kotiteollisuus,Urn,The Crescent,Total Devastation,Wolfheart,Zero Nine,Turisas,Hellbox,Nicole and Rytmihäiriö). edit : now that i looked at other comments then obviously I missed Stam1na,Sentenced,Wintersun,Battle Beast,Mors Principium Est,Ghost Brigade,Beast in Black,Tarja,Amberian Dawn,KALMAH (how the hell i missed them??)
I bet this list is an old one? Insomnium should be way up, BloodRed HourClass, Battle Beast, Wintersun, Beast in Black, Stam1na, Lost Society, Dark Sarah.... List goes on 😂
Great thing in Finnish metal is that we have something for everybody. I am not a metal head, but I appreciate many of them a lot. My favourites are probably Sonata Arctica and Mokoma. Also Nightwish. (My mum (in her 60s) likes metal Christmas concerts and goes to Nightwish gigs. She is even less metal head than I am. But she has found her thing.) As a teenager, I listened much more metal music as it helped me to calm down. Nowadays, I don't need it for that purpose as I can regulate my emotions more easily also without music...but still some metal music I listen every now and then. Fun fact, Stam1na has helped me to remember how to spot if somebody is having a stroke. 🤘😍 In their song 'Aivohalvaus' (Stroke) they say (in Finnish) "Smile/ Rise your arms / Say short, clear sentence / If you don't obay, you are drunk / Or there is stroke in your head." = "Hymyile / Nosta kädet ilmaan / Sano lyhyt selkeä lause /Jos et tottele olet päissäsi / Tai on päässäsi aivohalvaus." I appreciated this so much that I even told about this song in first aid class I was participating. The instruction is correct and makes it easy to remember. If you are having stroke, there might be one half of face/ body having paralysis symptoms (hard to smile with both sides of mouth and/or rise both arms fully. Also you might have hard time speaking clearly. Mumbling is common.
Nightwish is "symphonic metal", if you like this style you should check out : "Epica" and "Within Temptation" (dutch) "Ad Infinitum" (swiss) "Beyond the Black" and "Xandria" (german) "Visions of Atlantis" (austrian) Also an absolute fantastic metal band, that does mostly power metal but also some more symphonic stuff is "Lovebites" from japan
I would love to see you check out The 69 Eyes (gothic metal). Song Brandon Lee for example. They are my favorite Finnish band, but I like more of their older stuff.
There are so many good bands. I would insist adding Blind Channel, Arion (check this is in english, there´s apparently another band just appeared by the same name), Diablo and 69eyes to this list
All ten bands presented are great! Having said that i find the list lacking. The biggest mistake is leaving out some bands singing in Finnish like Stam1na and Mokoma - that makes this top 10 not that representative of the scene in Finland. Well, every list is based on someone's preferences, isn't it? So, to each his/her own.
This is a nice introduction list, and I have been counting, I've seen the half of these bands live at least once (actually going to see Amorphis again in two days 🤘), Apocalyptica I've seen like three times and would do so again, they are my favourite band. I love both power metal and symphonic metal, but melodic death metal can also be amazing - Insomnium has some beautiful songs, for example. The band I think is missing and should be there is definitely Tarot. But there are so many good bands in Finland, I bet it was hard to choose the top ten 😂
The land of Metal- Finland. Go a head, Lisen at this bands from list- Apocalytica, Children of Bodom, Finntroll, Korpiklaani, Sonata Artica, Nightwish and countine whit more from list.. And you then know Finnish metal in all their form..Deep dark lyrics, powerful energy and lovely voices 🖤
This list highlights some good bands, but the Amorphis teaser was not the best song choice. Wintersun, Battle Beast, Dark Sarah, Turmion Kätilöt and of course the mighty Tarot are great representations of the diversity of Finnish rock and metal. Not sure why Finland has such an amazing range of awesome bands. Although many of the artists are in more than one band, or do collaborations, so it seems to me they push their own boundaries more that way. However, I do wish I'd got to this party sooner. Only fell down this rabbit hole during the pandemic, but loving how much there is to explore. Would also recommend checking out Bjørkø, one of the guitarists from Amorphis, Tomi Koivusaari's solo project. Silver Lake by Esa Holopainen is the other one and that's bloody good too.
I really enjoy Korpiklaani's music, especially the newer stuff. My favorite song of theirs is probably "Leväluhta" and I highly recommend checking it out. That song leans heavily to the folk music side and at times almost sounds like reggae. Also if you liked the power metal stuff then you might want to listen to Teräsbetoni - Taivas lyö tulta. That song went super viral in the early 2000's and is just fun.
Children of bodom/ Alex Laiho Laiho received a Metal Hammer Golden Gods prize in the category of Dimebag Darrell Shredder Award in 2008.[23] Laiho received widespread acclaim for his guitar work and according to AllMusic, he is "widely celebrated as one of the genre's most accomplished players". In 2004 he was ranked No. 96 out of 100 Greatest Heavy Metal Guitarists of All Time by Guitar World. Guitar World magazine has also ranked him as one of the 50 fastest guitarists in the world. In addition, Roadrunner Records ranked Laiho at No. 41 out of 50 of the greatest metal frontmen. Furthermore, Total Guitar conducted a public voting poll to determine the greatest metal guitarist of all time; Laiho was voted No. 1 out of 20 metal guitarists, with over 20% of the vote.
Hello from Australia. An interviewer asked prog keyboard wizard Rick Wakeman why so many great prog bands came from the UK and so few from the US. He said it was because bands in the UK were not over-managed and had more freedom. I wonder if it is the same for Finland?
Definitely need to check out Battlelore. Male and female vocals. The entire band are excellent musicians. The just released their first album after a 10 year break, The Return of the Shadow. Tolkien Folk Metal! Love them!
I thinkbig part of music in finland is that you can start a school you have an option to join a class that nurtures young musicans and has alot more music classes i was in one from grade 1 to 6 there is option for grades 7-9 too
I would say a pretty good list to start from, but there are hundreds of good bands out there, depending on your preferences. I lean towards symphonic and power metal, and I also like some folk tunes with traditional instruments mixed in. Nightwish has always been my favourite, but for example 20 years ago I listened a lot to Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica and Apocalyptica. Nowadays my goto bands are usually Nightwish and Wintersun. Interesting that Wintersun was not on the list, that is some epic music.
Amorphis is my number one band, though Insomnium and Ensiferum are my favorites too. I've never cared much of the categorization of music, but I guess that makes me fan of melodic death metal and maybe folk metal too.
Great Bands, but Sentenced and Battle Beast should be in there... Kalmah is also a big favorite of mine... It's really crazy to think about the size of this country with all those bands in mind...
Asking to choose is like picking a favorite from my children. I lean more towards syphonic metal but they are all good including bands from abroad. Very nice you listen to them👍🤘
Pretty good cutout from the bands that are active and very known also abroad. If you look at foreign metal festivals and their line-ups, you see many of these names there :D Battle Beast and Beast in Black are not mentioned here though that should really get a shoutout.
Hail from finland! We have very long dark an cold winter, and especially in rural area youth has nothing better to do, than form a band, drink beer and have fun ;)
Not having Wintersun as the number one is wrong but not even mentioning them is an absolutely crime. Jari became a lazy and a douche,.true, but nonetheless the man is a musical genius. Self titled and Time are some of the best albums I've ever heard in my life
I think my favourite genres of metal are the original heavy metal, symphonic/melodic, folk, power, and to a lesser extent progressive and doom/stoner. But that doesn't mean I restrict myself to those, or like everything in them! I've seen four Finnish metal bands live (listed favourite-first): Nightwish, Beast in Black, Lordi, and Turmion Kätilöt. That's more than I've seen from any other country. Finland has the greatest density of metal bands per head of population in the world, and is pretty close to the top with folk bands too!
Some that are rarely mentioned, Pain Confessor, melodic death metal band that in my opinion would have deserved more attention. Diablo, melodeath/thrash, this one was after all warming up Metallica in helsinki but still seems not very widely known. Sentenced was mentioned several times and for a very good reason
and ofcourse that list is not complete! They are missing, Catamenia, Azazel, Swallow the sun, Amberian Dawn, Eternal tears of sorrow! Just to name a few!! 😂🎉🎉🎉🎉
I guess many people already said it but I would throw Battle Beast, Beast in Black and Blind Channel in the Mix. Also in my opinion not only finnish metal is good. I also like all kinds of other finnish music. Like Moon Shot (i guess rock), Chisu (Pop (?)), Tuure Kilpeläinen (no idea of the genre, my favorite is Autiosaari which i guess is Reagge). Oh, and i am not a finn ;)
Turmion Kätilöt needs to be on this list it is industrial metal and they sing mostly in Finnish they were openin for nightwish on their european tour. Next spring they head towards Japan with finnish music \../
HIM is hands down bigger than Ensiferum or Finntroll, even if they're not currently active. No newer bands either, like Battle Beast and Beast in Black (or Blind Channel even).
I feel like bands 10-2 were from a corner of the metal scene that I never got fully into. I had at least heard of all of them, and even listened to songs of some. But there is plenty to choose from.
You can definitely see what kind of metal the person making this list like 😂 My list would be quite different. Even for folk metal Moonsorrow and Turisas are so much better than Ensiferum and Korpiklaani. I was surprised HIM wasn't on this list, since it's a popular bands list.
There are other Finnish Metal bands worth checking out, like Battle Beast, Beast in Black, Lordi, Timo Tolkki's Avalon, Brother Firetribe, Teräsbetoni. Also there is the "Super group" of Northern Kings made of multiple artists from different Finnish metal bands, covering non-metal songs in metal form.
Teräsbetoni on parhaiden! Jarkko Ahola’s voice is like an ocean - depths we cannot even fathom (see what I did there), massive range, power forever, and so much emotion. He’s like Tony Kakko but turned up to 11.
As you said, these lists are always subjective, but it still blows my mind that someone puts together a list such as this and fails to include the likes of Sentenced and Moonsorrow on it. Also, this list basically ignored the bands who sing in Finnish, with the exception of Korpiklaani that do the vast majority of their songs in Finnish these days. Then again, even a list Top 50 Finnish metal bands would still leave great bands out in the cold. That's something you would have to do however, to get an idea of the full scope of Finnish metal music.
A lot of really good bands have already been mentioned here. I'll add a few more great bands to the list. Timo Rautiainen & trio niskalaukaus, Indica, the Rasmus and Apulanta
Korpiklaani and Nightwish are the the easiest way to start listening to Finnish metal, because there are no blast beats or growling. Folk Metal is my favorite genre and Finntroll is the favorite band. Stratovarius was my first metal band which I heard and listened to and then came Children of Bodom and Nightwish. I had also played guitar in a Finnish "Folk Metal" band called Verikalpa for over 10 years.
Vittu mua hävettää lukea tätä keskustelua. Jengi kuuntelee jotain naisten ja lasten metallia tai iskelmää särökitaralla. :D Oikeasti kovia suomalaisia bändejä ois esim. Impaled Nazarene ja Reverend Bizarre, joilla on iso kulttisuosio maailmalla. Ja sitten old school Death Metal scene 80-90-luvun taitteesta.
I personally like the music but i just dont like the gruff growling voice! The folk metal sounds good but my favourite of all is symphonic...namely Nightwish .!!
The listing seemed quite old. It lacked the popular bands of the moment, such as Blind Chanel. There were also no groups singing in Finnish, the most popular of which are definitely Mokoma and Stam1na. Also missing from the list was one of Finland's biggest, although no longer active, metal bands HIM. You should definitely get to know this band. Their love metal is something different and gentler metal music. Among those on the list, I think the best is Amorphis. A band that has been active for a very long time. I recommend the song The Bee from them. On the other hand, I recommend getting to know Finnish rock as well. From there, an excellent choice would be Poets of the Fall and their song Carnival of Rust.
Metal is not my bread and butter, but proud to be Finn. Small country with many talents. IMHO Turmion kätilöt (loose translation midwives of ruination) could be interesting band to listen.
It's Stam1na and Mokoma you should listen to. And older Stam1na as well! Do kadonneet kolme sanaa rather than valtiaan uudet vaatteet or panzerfaust or any of the newer stuff. I promise you it'll blow your mind
It is impossible to satisfy everyone, all these 10 bands in list are great, and bands like, Stam1na, mokoma, battle beast, tarot, diablo, wolfheart, beast in black, wintersun, turmion kätilöt for example rules.
Jeff Walker from Carcass made a grindcore country album with Finnish musicians, it's an absolutely weird and amazing piece of work! (Jeff Walker & the fluffers : Welcome to Carcass C*ntry), also Impaled Nazarene should ve on the list
First time I heard Apocalyptica was with their debut album 'plays Metallica on 4 cellos'. Blew me away. Later albums they added drums, with Dave fucking Lombardo appearing on some songs
Sentenced is a legend.

"Hevisaurus" is metal/ heavyband for kids here in Finland. Check out song "100". There is many visitors in video.
Ei saatana, kuuntelin tota joskus 5 vuotiaana. Kiitos muistutuksesta.
Leaving Sentenced out of the list is criminal.
100% true.
Best finnish metal band of all time.
Some great bands in this video. Alexi Laiho (lead guitarist/vocalist) from Children of Bodom unfortunately died in 2020.
Yeah, we lost guitar hero legend that time. Good band to react for Mert 🙏

This list was OK, EXEPT the grave mistake not even mentioning Wintersun!? I mean cmon, They are my clear runner up to Nightwish.
Yep...Jari is every bit the genius that Tuomas is. If only he had the same work ethic lol.
Wintersun Time is my favorite from them

Agree🤘
I concur

lol "Heavy Trip 2" is coming out soon, yay!
Yes! It's already in post-production and will be titled as "Heavier trip"@@mennawaris144
@@harrihakala3884 Great! Can’t wait!
Yep. The clips really are very similar and does not show their differences.
There are many bands that also deserved to be in this video, for example Wintersun, Battle Beast, Sentenced and my favorite Turmion Kätilöt
One up vote for sentenced 🤘
Actually not having Wintersun is a crime.
Should be number 2. Right after Ensiferum.
Wintersun, Ensiferum, and Mors Principium Est need to be mentioned in this conversation. \m/ Two current members of Nightwish, Kai and Jukka, are also (maybe, still hahaha if Wintersun still exists) in Wintersun.
Wintersun was nro 1 for me.
Also Wolfheart, Brymir and Omnium Gatherum
Yes! There are so many great bands: Belzebubs, Moonsorrow, Turmion Kätilöt, Mokoma, Warmen, Stam1na, Kalmah, Brymir, Turisas... just to mention some 😄
Mors Principium, Insominium, Nightwish..Wintersun, Bodom, Amorphis, Strato....so fekking good!
2:38 Ensiferum

Definately, Battle Beast gets my vote!
I concur
I heard Noora had surgery,i hope she is doing well and wish her all the best.✊🤘
I concur
Also Beast in Black, whose composer used to be part of Battle Beast.
I also highly recommend checking out the band called Beast in Black. The band's music is such a fascinating mix of electronic music and metal.

😂😂😂🎉! Its so funny, how you have so strong scottish accent!! 🎉🎉😂! So cool, i love it! ❤🎉
Why wasn't Wintersun among the 10?
Nightwish is "symphonic metal", if you like this style you should check out :
"Epica" and "Within Temptation" (dutch)
"Ad Infinitum" (swiss)
"Beyond the Black" and "Xandria" (german)
"Visions of Atlantis" (austrian)
Also an absolute fantastic metal band, that does mostly power metal but also some more symphonic stuff is "Lovebites" from japan
Epica is the best in the game right now and by far the one with the most cohesive discography
I am not a metalhead, but even I have heard of all of them except number 10. So probably a pretty accurate list.
You missed; Children Of Bodom, Archgoat, Ajattara, Horna, Behexen, Rotten Sound, Torture Killer, Deatchain, Wintersun and Turmion Kätilöt.
Surpringly Ajattara has not appeared on these comments more, for me it's one of THE bands :)
Sentenced belongs there for sure.
Melodic Death Metal from nordic countries is top quality stuff
I really enjoy Korpiklaani's music, especially the newer stuff. My favorite song of theirs is probably "Leväluhta" and I highly recommend checking it out. That song leans heavily to the folk music side and at times almost sounds like reggae.
Also if you liked the power metal stuff then you might want to listen to Teräsbetoni - Taivas lyö tulta. That song went super viral in the early 2000's and is just fun.
Children of bodom/ Alex Laiho
Laiho received a Metal Hammer Golden Gods prize in the category of Dimebag Darrell Shredder Award in 2008.[23]
Laiho received widespread acclaim for his guitar work and according to AllMusic, he is "widely celebrated as one of the genre's most accomplished players".
Very nice you listen to them👍🤘
The clip from Insomnium was nothing compared to their newer stuff. It is sooooo melodic and makes you drift away ❤.
Best finnish metal bands not listed on the video: Sentenced, Skepticism, Beherit, Cryhavoc, Viikate and Kotiteollisuus.
From this list my favorites are: Nightwish, Amorphis and Apocalyptica. Amorphis and Apocalyptica i saw in concerts, were amazing.
Beast In Black ⁉️⁉️ Good video!!
Not necessarily in that order
Not having Wintersun as the number one is wrong but not even mentioning them is an absolutely crime.
Jari became a lazy and a douche,.true, but nonetheless the man is a musical genius. Self titled and Time are some of the best albums I've ever heard in my life
Since when has Jari become a douche? He's always been very nice.
And what makes you think he's lazy?
Haha good list, not one single fan of metal can really like all these songs but they are all pretty great in their own way.
You definitely need to react to Apocalyptica songs! Nightwish and Apocalyptica are pretty much the only Finnish metal I can stand.
Talking of the legacy of finnish bands. There would have not been Guns & Roses without Hanoi rocks or Sepultura without Rattus
And Metallica without Stone :P
Some that are rarely mentioned, Pain Confessor, melodic death metal band that in my opinion would have deserved more attention. Diablo, melodeath/thrash, this one was after all warming up Metallica in helsinki but still seems not very widely known. Sentenced was mentioned several times and for a very good reason
COB was basically the soundtrack of my teenage years, RIP Alexi Laiho.
Power metal and folk metal are my favorites, I like Beast in Black, Apocalyptica, Nigthwish och Battle Beast most when it comes to Finnish metal.
and ofcourse that list is not complete!
Hello from Alaska! I love Finnish Heavy Metal!
Because christmas is coming you should check out Raskasta joulua (finnish christmas songs in metal versions). 🥰
Also Turmion Kätilöt and Altough Battle Beast is multinational and Mokoma and Stamina is worth checking.
Just one opinion. I would rate 3 or 4 of these to my top 10 list of Finnish metal.
Surprisingly good list; could argue about the order of them, but glad they didn't include Lordi.
You really need to watch Nightwish - Greatest show on Earth live from Tampere. Shortest very long song I know.
You have to check out Korpiklaani and some of their songs. ☺️👍👍
loved that a super lot. gold tier level of quality. 🔥🔥🔥Btw would love to see you react on Dark by October Ends
Otherwise good list but 2 important bands were missing:
Stone (Thrash Metal) and Tarot (Heavy Metal).
Vittu mua hävettää lukea tätä keskustelua. Jengi kuuntelee jotain naisten ja lasten metallia tai iskelmää särökitaralla. :D Oikeasti kovia suomalaisia bändejä ois esim. Impaled Nazarene ja Reverend Bizarre, joilla on iso kulttisuosio maailmalla. Ja sitten old school Death Metal scene 80-90-luvun taitteesta.
Top ten EVER, and the list doesn't include Sentenced. Oh well.
Thanks. Takatalvi by Mokoma is my favorite after CHB. Rip Aleksi.
I personally like the music but i just dont like the gruff growling voice!
The folk metal sounds good but my favourite of all is symphonic...namely Nightwish .!!
Always brings my mind Trainspotting when i hear you talking lol. 👍
Nightwish, finntroll, korpiklaani, sonata arctica, stratovarius, Children of bodom, and one group that aint on this list HIM ❤❤ Love Metal.
Apocalyptica is amazing! I do like all of the bands mentioned on this list
There's just so many bands. If you choose just 10, somebodys favourite will not be included
Jeff Walker from Carcass made a grindcore country album with Finnish musicians, it's an absolutely weird and amazing piece of work! (Jeff Walker & the fluffers : Welcome to Carcass C*ntry), also Impaled Nazarene should ve on the list
Children of Bodom and Nightwish, but with Tarja
hails from finland. finland is the capital of heavy metal
First time I heard Apocalyptica was with their debut album 'plays Metallica on 4 cellos'. Blew me away. Later albums they added drums, with Dave fucking Lombardo appearing on some songs
That list was makers opinion for sure, there was missing huge names like him, sentenced and many others.
Finnish Melo Death
Please React Amorphis The Bee, that was epic. It gives little bit Slipknot vibes, singer was so great to switch his vocals🤘
A little disappointed that Sonata didn't come second. That's where they come on my list, right below Nightwish. 🤘😎
Why is no one mentioning Lordi? and why wasn't in the video? is it so obvious?
