is checked in the settings menu under the MIDI tab. This may be disabled and prevent the remapping feature on your controller.

There have been numerous implementations of the FX section and I must say the paddle design is great. In contrast, I was disappointed with the way the deck effects are enabled. Don’t get me wrong if you tend to use one at a time it's great but when exploring your creativity, it becomes a train wreck because all effect parameters are controlled by a single depth knob.
For example, when using an echo out with the depth at 7 it works great. If you decide to add an HPF effect, the HPF is also set at 7 and filters out too much content (as seen in the example). Although this is a basic example, I can only imagine if you forget the depth is maxed at 10 and activate multiple FX at the same time it will produce an undesirable result. This video is a workaround that seems to help tremendously which includes remapping the depth button to control the sampler volume, allowing you to set the desired parameter on each effect manually. As a result, you now have a dedicated button to adjust the sampler volume and have complete control of your FX. I also remapped the click function on the beat potentiometer to jump between the FX Bank on the fly.
Activating multiple effects is a little challenging beyond three. While activating a total of 6 FX on one deck is uncommon, I found that if you use 3 fingers from your right, and 3 on your left to simultaneously activate each button may be easier. The best way to describe is a crab scratch technique on all FX buttons with both hands (LOL). Nevertheless, the FX section works as described.
SUGGESTIONS:
I would like to see a firmware update that will allow you to hold the FX button to activate a mode that allows you to adjust the depth for each FX individually which may be a little more intuitive instead of one knob for all. - Розваги

Wzup AI, I agree that mixing/blending is a core skill that should be learned. Some effects (especially related to scratching) on mixers may hinder growth and the experience. Alternatively, learning how to use them and when can also enhance sets. DJ Carlo Atendido does a great job showcasing all skills and technical ability.👍

My MIDI is blocked. Meaning I can’t select it to bring up the MIDI box.. what am I doing wrong
@@daemenleshawn1592 Is the MIDI button greyed out? If, so under the midi tab in settings click on Rane One at the top and make sure "Remapping" is checked for the controller.

@@XFaderz if only the settings would save. Im trying to figure out how to adjust the fx settings in single effect mode and have them save when using the triple effects mode
Wzup Carlos, Unfortunately from my experience that has been one of the things I hoped Serato added to their updates...which is the option to retain settings upon exit. On all of my hardware, I have to "nudge" the potentiometers or reapply my preferred FX settings on startup. This is a common problem and not specific to any controller or mixer I have used. The only setting that remains is A/B effects, but switching between the two will reset parameters as well. Thanks for checking out the video... I'm sorry I couldn't have offered a workaround or solution.

Wzup Juan...thanks for checking out the video. I tried and it didn't work for me under the second page. It remapped the pad entirely and no longer worked as expected under the other modes. Hopefully a future firmware will fix this.

Hi mate just quick question why is it the sounds of all my sampler too low is it the Raneone controller or my sampler tracks I try to make the higher volume the speaker still low but if I use my s9 mixer too loud why do u think like that did I miss something or just the settings?please help.

Did you find any issues after saving a midi preset and then loading it ? I found a strange thing happens which is the Tempo Adjust Percentage will stay at +30% when a track plays after a new midi preset is loaded.
Wzup Rob, I did some testing, I no longer have the Rane One but I may have been able to replicate it on my SZ2. When the issue occurs is the sync button still outlined in blue also is your tempo range set different for both decks (for example, is the left deck set to +/-8 and right set to +/-16). If you are playing a song at +10 and hit instant doubles on the other deck that maxed out at +8 I think the Serato has a bug where the tempo range does not reset to "0" upon loading the next track. I would suggest checking first to see if the range is mirrored on both decks. Partial sync is activated to match tempo on doubles but if it is outside the range of the receiving deck I think it causes issues. If you have to do a mix that requires extended range I think the workaround would be to hit "sync off" on the next track load to reset the tempo. I did not get +/-30 rather my testing gave me -4.9 at zero but I believe it depends on the track and set tempo but the theory should be the same. Let me know if you would like me to create a video to explain. Also, I might have to reach out to Serato, but let me know if you are able to replicate as well. Thanks
@@XFaderz Hey there, thanks for checking it out on the SZ2 (Before the RANE One I had wanted an SZ2 for a long time but could never find stock!). Anyways, I think what you are describing is a different thing. Mine is a definite issue that seems to only show up once midi maps are changed in the Rane One settings.. I have logged it with Serato so will wait and see what happens there. Thanks

@@XFaderz Hey there, sorry it has taken so long to update. There was a bit of a delay early on with getting Serato to assign resource to the problem. The problem changed a bit since the last couple of Serato releases.. Now it affects the pitch faders after midi mapping. I found they would be disabled after changing or storing a midi map. Initially they couldn't replicate the issue. They asked me to put together a video of the problem, which I did. Which led them to being able to replicate it and see the problem. However... they said as I was the only one to report it there probably wouldn't be resource assigned to fixing it (anytime soon)... At the moment it doesn't affect daily operation, but I have seen other people experience the same problem. I always encourage them to report it to Serato..

The settings for my FX are not saving. When I turn of my equipment and then start it back up my settings are not what I previously set them to. Any suggestions?

What I have done since I don't use a mic or aux is ...midi map the 6 effect depths individually to the 6 knobs for mic and aux and then remapped the sampler to replace the usual level/depth knob
Thanks for this tip. Question though. When you Switch from Banks A to B and Versa. The Parameters You set for each FX doesn't Change. It's the same settings, which is kinda annoying.
Wzup HeadShot Heroes. I apologize for the delay, but you are absolutely right. The effects will change but parameters will reset each time. Closing and reopening Serato will force you to set parameters again as well. In the future I hope an option in the settings will allow retention and recalibrate only on adjustments. Thanks

I have been struggling a bit for a while and no one has the answers. You're my last hope. Lol
How do I MIDI map the second press. For example, I use the samples or the samplers more than scratch bank, I don't really use scratch bank at all really. However, I would like to assign the "second press" of the Sample Button to do something else cooooompleeeetely different.... such as the first 4 pads in that scratch bank mode to control the "sampler pages" ABCD.
Can you help with this? Is this even possible?

@@mazusub8182 Wzup Mazu, I was disappointed with the implementation of the fx section. I actually prefer the large form factor controllers like the SZ as a primary controller (sx3 was my backup). I have turntables so the motorized platters were not my primary reason for purchasing. Initially, I wanted to get rid of my SZ2 for the Rane One but I still prefer the SZ2 at the moment. Overall it was just "good" for me and I only considered keeping it if it was a major step forward, but I strongly believe the second implementation will be better as with a lot of gear for the most part...lol. @@XFaderz oh ok 👍 thanks for the reply and taking your time to do it… Yh colleague, I see what you mean and what your priorities are for this specific matter… to me I like it and I’m keeping it because I don’t have to carry around three different odyssey flight cases around to gigs with all the equipment inside or one big suit case (heavy af) lol with the 3 of them ( rane mixer and 2 separate turn tables) not to even mention the needles (cartridges) that can get messed up with time and usage of transporting around from gig to gig… while with the Rabe one is just one case with a smaller more compact size little heavy but manageable equipment to get around from gig to gig while having fun with all the features that it offers AND the spinning motorized platters for more fun while djing and the effects part I could do it (trigger them manually with turntablelism skills like (flanger, echo effect, etc) with the moving platters and fader tricks and that fader that cuts like butter and precise is all a winning point for me to keep it but the most part is the portability (not having to carry 3 pieces or one huge suitcase carrying 2 turntables and a mixer) all while not losing the turntablism spirit and the having fun part all that while performing at any gig is the def a dub for my priorities… salute and thanks for your input brother. 🙏

Wzup Renard, sorry to hear you are having issues with your Rane One. I did some research but unfortunately I could not find anything related to the issue you are having. I would recommend joining the Rane Forum and post all the details and troubleshooting steps you have done. Prior to your post make sure you have updated the firmware, drivers and software to avoid the basic responses. It may be helpful to post a video as well for reference and make the link available in your post. I hope you recieve a quick resolution or a warranty replacement... Best of luck.
I don’t know if it’s the same problem I encounter or something similar to it but…
I have experienced the same thing… after remapping/ assigning my master samples volume control in midi to my up faders knob control on the board/ mixer… when I start mixing again after remapping I’ve experienced that when I do instant doubles and then load up a new song the pitch control goes crazy to beat match the next song… the way to work around it was … I tried while performing to reset/ reboot all the remapping to default settings inside the settings where you find the midi to save or load your remapping but that kindda work but not really… and then I found that the only and fast real quick way to fix it after remapping and star experiencing this issue WAS to just unplug the controller USB from the computer and then plug it back in and boom! problem fixed with still having the remapping done on the controller there/ whatever remapping you’ve done will still be there like my sample volume to the up faders knob… only problem to that IS that if you are already playing/ djing/ performing at a gig/ venue/ party, etc and your in the middle of it already is that your whole sound would get silenced for a few seconds until you plug that back in and Serato gets the 2 decks back on the computer again… now if you have time and not always rushing and/ or running out of time like myself before starting a gig… then you could just do this steps real quick by testing it before you start spinning/ djing so set it up with a test run with remapping and mixing couple of songs before you start and unplug and plug back in the USB to the computer after remapping and feeling/ hearing this is happening… and that should help but hopefully Serato can fix this issue without having to unplug the USB from the computer…I also own the Pioneer 1000 srt and have saved the remapping for that on the remapping settings and saved the Rane one as well each one with its own individual name…but when I go back to the Rane One controller after djing with the 1000 srt I found out that this happens as well after loading the saved remapping for the Rane One and then I do instant doubles and play couple of songs and starts happening and then I have to unplug the USB and plug it back in and Voala! problem fixed! with the remapping still there on board… BUT this Should NOT be that way though that we have to unplug and plug back in and lose sound and all that trouble because of that you know!… it should be plug and play and ready to go! If anything! …We’re paying so much/ (expensive) for this equipment that should be working properly right out of the box with all the features that offers and comes with you know! …Serato and Rane pay attention please!
