Yes, i do love them. I have the same 7" platters on my SC5000ms and I'd never go back to boring static jog wheels. The accuracy and feeling that it gives to the music and makes me feel more interactive with it is worth it imo.
For me personally, I will always love my Numark NS7II's. It's been the perfect blend of turntable and controller. Shame they're pretty old now in comparison to all the new controllers out there. However, after using motorized platters for years now, I just can't go back to jog wheels like most controllers are save for the Rane One. I'm so used to having that resistance when mixing and scratching that motorized platters provide that if I go back to jog wheels, which I have tried, always feels slightly off to me. Once my NS7II's inevitably quit on me, I'm definitely going with the Rane One though. Great Review Carlo! edit: Update: I finally sold my NS7II's (somehow... since not even Guitar Center would take them lol XD) and got myself a used B-stock Rane One and it feels great!
I agree Chris. I've got an original NS7 and the platters are just awesome. For a controller that came out 12 years ago I think it's still up there in comparison with the new controllers I've seen. My main problem now is that Numark won't release drivers for the latest operating systems so I need to keep one of my Mac laptops on OSX 10.1 so I can still use it. Great unit though. I think the Rane One is the only new controller I like that I've tried in shops, due to the realistic moving platters and the way they respond.
You know, sometimes I think who the f paid off numark to stop making the NS7 line up??? Seriously, why the f aren't they making a newer and lighter version to woop everyone's ass again in the controller game. I was young and broke when I started DJing gigs at 17 so I needed to budget with one V7 and a basic mixer but my goal was to own a NS7, I tried looking for one a new one last year and I was sad to see I'm probably never going to fulfill that dream now that I want to mix again for fun. My other thoughts are hopefully they are working on something cooler, better, and lighter
I've had the Rane One since January, and I adore it. I had a pioneer DDJ-(something) and I liked but the motorised platters mean I can properly beat juggle, for the first time and beat juggling is 'proper dj'ing' to me 😁
I know I'm very late to the party but I don't care lol. Just purchased a used Rane One from a friend 3 weeks ago and I freagin love this controller!!! I had a choice between the Rane One and the Rev7. I chose the Rane One. I just love the look and feel of it more than the Rev7.

The platters on the DDJ are perfectly fine for juggling, and I have a mixer and FX that Rane will never, ever be able to compare itself to. That thing doesn't even compare to other Rane mixers. Because it's not. It's a rebadged NS7++ or NS8 or whatever you want to call it. Aside from that crossfader, there's literally nothing else about the thing that's Rane quality. It's an NS8 with a Rane crossfader.
I haven't DJ'd since 2011 so it is neat to come back to it and see what equipment is out there. This looks like a good compact option for someone that wants solid equipment, but is looking to fool around more than do gigs again.
I like the way you put it Aaron! Also, 10 years is a lot of time for controllers to develop. Looks are very different too; they used to be a lot thicker from what I remember.
Rane makes high quality hardware and in the 90s it would have been my dream to have so much technology in such a small piece of hardware. But you also develop yourself further and develop other preferences that are important to you. Still, the Rane Controller is a great piece of hardware at a good price. And you get a good turntable feeling without taking a whole suitcase of LPs with you.
Hi, I have and old Denon MCX 8000 controller for serato ad i am very happy with it, 4 channel REAL mixer, DVS ready, satandalone controller (with only 2 channel) I use it with 2 CDJ 3000 connected with or without dvs and after five years I cannot buy a controller better than this !

I almost got it on a whim because I love vinyl and I love mobility of controllers, but glad I passed. Having mixed on a Rane mixer and tables, this really shows Rane's bad side because for the price point, the quality you would expect just isn't there. My initial thought was "if only this thing had standalone capability". Having to run every single feature on the software, you can get a DDJ 800 or 1000 for less. And you can still have external turntables or CDJs. Now to be fair, this is a first gen of its kind, they really can improve on it later down the road. Standalone functionality with a screen like a XDJ RX and I would be sold in a heartbeat. But would have to stick at the price it is now or less. Just my opinions. Either way I love that this exists.
Great video, I’m just starting to be a mobile DJ and not into scratching that much. Do you think this would be a good upgrade from the pioneer SB3??? 🍀
Dear world, you may not be aware of the blunder regarding the platter release speed inaccuracy!. Pay close attention when your hand releases the signal vinyl on this controller. I mean listen closely. You will notice that no matter how you let go of the record, and even if the torque is set to lo or hi, THE platter DOES NOT let the song instantaniously recover to its set speed when you let it go, ( like the quartz locking technics 1200 so perfectly does) but instead does the most irritating and very slight speed up first, and then it drops back down to your set speed. I think this shit is whack, and I notice it when I am scratching. It is like it over compensates and has an initial momentary increase in tempo before it comes back to the original set tempo. This is what my controller does. DOES YOURS? RANE that shit is WHACK. Why copy the platter strobe dots and not have a strobe illuminator? Why go all out on this controller and mess up of the platter performance? This defective mistake has caused me to dislike this controller. This and the weak fx that are not hardware based.. THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE. BE FREE. MAYBE ITS JUST MINE? LET ME KNOW, "RANE ONE'ers!"
Thanks for the feedback man! I didn't really notice it on mine, but I could've overlooked it! Let me try to go back to it and see if I notice what you did.
I started DJing waaay back in the day when controllers or even CD decks didn`t exist so i used (and learnt) on vinyl turntables (how I miss those 1210s). So, my muscle memory is tuned to motorized platters and i naturally prefer them. it took some time adjusting to get used to unmotorized platters on CDJ/controllers etc. That said, unmotorized platters have some a long way since and with having tension adjust etc. I've become accustomed to them. in my opinion scratch and battle - DJing motorized decks. However, when it comes to edm/house/techno etc. mixing wit having 4 decks or 4 deck controller is the better option. ( i tried DJing with 4 vinyl decks once, it wasn`t easy lol)
Old School technical/club DJ who's Rane Sixty-Eight is basically obsolete... great mixer but would be nice if it worked with my new MacBook Pro. Back when Serato first came out I was like noooooo way i'm switching and I never fully did. Eventually bought the SL1 and then the 68... and still prefer to use my tables with control vinyl over the cheap DDJ i have. Much more of a vinyl DJ, so I'm thinking of selling the 68 and getting something like this that I can connect my turntables to. Don't really need 4 channel mixing as long as I can easily switch between computer and phono... more important for me is width (so my tables aren't so far apart). Might even just go with a DDJ SR2 but I prefer Rane build quality over Pioneer. A good fader is key but I'm more about scratching the beat and how it sounds than cool stunts... never cared for using the line fader for scratching so all good with that. Built in FX would be nice but not most import point. Way back in the day I won a set of Numark DJ-X from Def Jam and I did like the motorized platter more than DDJ style ones... and I love my 45s so would totally customize the plater...
Looks like you've already found a pretty good style for yourself Gibs! This one might be the right controller for you, given the 45 feel of the platters. Also, dang dude, you got them shellac records!
Great review! I'm in doubt between Rane and Prime 4 To be honest, the only advantage I see in Rane is the aesthetics, I like the motorized turntable, the Prime 4 has 4-channel features in simultaneous use that not even Pioneer offers... I think easier to keep a pair of turntables along with a controller
What if you dont want to get into turntablism and you're not into scratching . What if you just like mixing , dubbing it up would Rane be the controller I'm looking for ?
Hi bro. I'm Reza. I wanna ask you something. I have XZ now. I want to learn scratching with Ttable. there is any recommendation Ttable that I can plug into my XZ?. Thnks mate
Don't like ddjs moving platters are better for scratching, I had a go on my mates the other night you have to really press on the platters to catch the sample or it just keeps spinning without you knowing.
Why this companies don't get an expert on mixing like you to go to their headquarters and take notes from you and other Deejays and make the perfect machine
I just purchased this one and I have to say that I am very excited to get it. I am new to the controller game so I’m looking forward to learning more about it. Thank you for sharing this with us. Merry Christmas 🎄
I tried it all the way up while I was tinkering around with it, and honestly, it sounded far worse. I'm still not a fan of software-based FX, Dusty. Though admittedly, having the paddles massively improved software-based FX for me
Main gripes.. Pitch fader should be battle style. And if it’s really for vinyl DJs and Turntablist, why oh why would they put a stupid sync button. It needs to be a 45/33 button for the super dope tone arm mods. FAIL. Hardware effects too, and FX on the sampler. @ranedj 😭 hope you see this and make the appropriate changes on the MK2 🤗🙏😩
It’s not targetted towards scratch djs… but has some specs to try make these jump in the wagon. The proposal for them are twelves and bigger mixers. This is oriented for open format with few scratch…
🍀 I'm looking at the REV7. I was about to pull the trigger on the RANE ONE but then something told me to wait for the kinks to get smoothed out and then the REV7 pop up. What's your thoughts on the REV7 and can you do a comparison?
I will do a comparison once one arrives! Unfortunately, it's gonna take several months before they even ship to my country, so I can't do one till then. Try commenting on Pioneer's IG (instagram.com/pioneerdjglobal/) to maybe send one my way hahaha
Hey DJ Carlo, would the Rane One still be viable in 2024? Given that it’s been out a couple years and we’ve seen some controller advancements with built in stems controls among other things. Looking to get the Rane One as my first motorized platter controller but it’s $2000 cad.
@@djcarlo no, but it’s certainly on my list! I was stuck between the Rane One or the T7 due to more recent tech and great reviews. Which would you recommend for someone starting out? Thanks!
My problems is definitely left deck pitch fader is a bit to close to ch 1 fader gets in my way sometimes. Second the pitch bend buttons is to near the crossfader for me. Last in the list no screens for effects otherwise the best sounding controller out as of now my opinion.
I wouldn't say that but I got some that will fix the problem it's a kit with the controls with problems such as these kind of problems you want 4-channel mixing I have an idea for that
@@djcarlo it's just I'm thinking out loud like I think I could build something with a computer module with building and chassis part making it like a standalone with the computer and power supply running from the battery to the controller and computer
IMHO i think is the best controller right now. I was planning to buy the DDJ-1000,but then i realize its been almost 3 years since its release. then i saw the Rane One,and im telling you,if Pioneer dont release a better version of the DDJ-1000,by the end of 2021...IM GONNA GET MY RANE ONE, ON CHRISTMAS =)
I don't just prefer motorized decks i demand it and cannot stand anything else,, u really just loose that resistance that a motorized platter has,,, plus backspins aren't the same either JS
Yo Champ ..could u show me the best setting at serato and rane one for Scratching mode. And also the best setting for echo at serato dj pro. Tq champ. Take care.
Check your local DJ stores K.MUS! You might be able to get a better lead in that sense on where to buy it and how much it'll cost. It normally costs $1,599.00
Dope machine. I love the rane 12 better. but this is great for anyone to buy. Great choice. it has a great sound card. no other mixer needed. controller and your PA's. done check
Sad to say that there is no hardware built-in effects unlike in the DDJ-1000 but that controller is a beast. Honestly I am picking the 1000 because I prefer jog wheels and hardware effects
Thanks, I guess I will stick with this as I found out that the Rane Four does not have moving jog wheels. The Rane Performer is perfect, though, but I’m not a battle DJ. 🤪
🍀 Motorizedbplatters, well I use a s4 mk3 because I prefer Traktor and I turn the platters on for scratching but you have to because in jog mode your cue point moves, but even if they fixed that I'd still use Motorized platters, but if I'm not scratching I don't want my platters moving.
And i bet these are the same people that complain that the Denon Prime Go cost too much last year. And some had the nerve to ask why it cost so much, or think that it should cost half the of the original price... Some people are really delusional. Lol
Was holding out for the DDJ Rev7. But the more I think about it, and the fact that even if I ordered the Rev7 today, it wont be at my door for another month or 2. I have decided to upgrade my first year dj set up to the Rane one. I almost have the cash ready and Amazon has next day delivery for it. Plus its cheaper than the rev7 but still has just about everything I want. The software fx is a bummer because I really wanted to upgrade out of that. Do you think the Rev7 is worth the extra money? It probably is overall but I dont want to wait another month. Im ready to get a real feel for scratching as my DDJ SR2 is certainly not a good scratching controller. The crossfader has no bounce, the pitch faders are tiny, and the jogwheels have a fairly high amount of latency. It was a great controller to get started on, but im ready for something a little bit more professional and aesthetic. Overall, as I outgrew my first controller, it made me insecure about streaming with it or taking certain gigs afraid clients would think I was using a toy for their event. I know I know...the gear doesnt make the dj and plenty of clients seems genuinely impressed when I used the sr2. But the reality is it is a fantastic controller, but for beginners. So I am really excited to get my first rane one. I almost have the money ready to spend. I am also upgrading my speakers, lights, microphones, etc to be able to go fully professional. And to continue my growth as a DJ. Thank you Carlo for teaching us so much. I wish you did live stream dj sets. You would be great at it. Anyways I am super excited about my upcoming upgrades. Now I will feel comfortable making youtube videos and twitch streams and feeling a lot more bold and prepared to make quality content and book quality live gigs. If only the rev7 had next day delivery lol. I am way too impatient. Mainly because I want to get accustomed to whichever new controller I get as quickly as possible so I can start promoting my business by springtime. So the wait time on the rev7 is frustrating. Anyways just wanted to get that off my chest. Great content as usual Carlo. I hope to be like you when I grow up one day haha (im 35)
@@djcarlo a better performance in the up and down faders on board fx with mic fx perhaps some read out info but that’s not that important pitch faders up top just like a mini rane twelve would have been better.. When I hook up my rain 12s in my DJ MS 11 the flow seems right the rane one could have flowed exactly like that just smaller
Hi, Now I got a ddj-400, would you recommend me to buy the Rane One, or first the flx6 or ddj 800, I have been 1 year with the ddj-400 but now I want to move on to get better so can you give me your opinion 🙏, I would really like to learn how to scratch well and Im ok with 2 chanels, thanks!
Quite nice but expensive. I suggest use what you have and learn more dj techniques by practicing. Also sign up to record pools. The music types we play at gigs makes a difference. Not the equipment.
Just copped the Rane One and just found out that it doesn't have on board FX which is a bummer bc I haven't had a mixer yet with them and was really looking forward to having some. Should I return it for a Rane 70 or 72?

in my opinion scratch and battle - DJing motorized decks. However, when it comes to edm/house/techno etc. mixing wit having 4 decks or 4 deck controller is the better option. ( i tried DJing with 4 vinyl decks once, it wasn`t easy lol)
I totally agree! I love motorized platters but I certainly feel they have their own place and time now.
Someone ever dj using 2 decks of cassette tapes before haha it was insane
You should lower your shutter speed bro, video is a lil bit choppy. Try, 60p/120s or 30p/60s.
Thanks for the tip! I was shooting at 120 FPS at 1/250 :)
Also, you're reviews are always great since they're very helpful and informative. Keep it up, Carlo😍😍😍😊😊😊
Woot! Woot! Glad you like this kind of content from me! More to come! Stay tuned!
🍀 thank you for this thoughtful breakdown and including your honest gripes. I’m into this thing. You moved me.
You're welcome! I try to give my insights about every piece of equipment I review.
best dj controller ever build. i hope pioneer is taking notes!
I'm sure they are. But I also don't think moving platters is their type of thing...
@@djcarlo yep... and an SL-1200MK4 to play them with
i love moving platters.they have a great feel .even its heavy the more important is that you are happy with your controllers
That is the truth! Enjoy what you have and use what you use!
I want to fix my NS7ii.. can't justify paying top dollar for the Rane One when it is basically a newer old ass NS7ii
While that is technically true, the Rane One also does have a few things tightened and upgraded technology over the NS7ii
I'd say it all really depends on what you want/need the most for your spinning experience! And thanks bud!
prime 4 DAC and headphone amp are not very good.. sold it. would hope that the rane is better but never heard
What if you dont want to get into turntablism and you're not into scratching . What if you just like mixing , dubbing it up would Rane be the controller I'm looking for ?
Not this one. The Rane Four would be more ideal for that kind of set up
This is a fire controller used by a fire dj!!!
thanks buddy! this controller is one of the best for sure!
wow thanks man!
Why don't you use virtual dj on some of your sets. Just asking. Thanks
Because I don't have the software :(
@@djcarlo Thanks for replying. Is there a reason why you don't have the software and are you open to trying it. 🤔
You always my teacher carlos
Thanks man! Just happy to guide you!
@@djcarlo I love you bro
Beke nemen... hahaha😂😂 Rane1 parin ako, kahit lumabas na ung DDJ-REV7.😁😁
Different preferences for different controllers! Glad you still like the Rane One!
💯
Thanks bro! Like the controller?

I Work with Numark NDX 500 Series And Vinyl Players From Audio Technica
Personal I Dint Like This Type Of Controllers
Sure thing!
Thanks for this amazing video. It's time for me to upgrade my Numark NS6II 🍀Would love to see some Bollywood mixes
For sure Sri! Glad you enjoyed the review!
Hi bro. I'm Reza. I wanna ask you something.
I have XZ now. I want to learn scratching with Ttable. there is any recommendation Ttable that I can plug into my XZ?. Thnks mate
Either PLXs or 1200s should be good!
@@djcarlo thanks bro
Don't like ddjs moving platters are better for scratching, I had a go on my mates the other night you have to really press on the platters to catch the sample or it just keeps spinning without you knowing.
That's fair! It's not for everyone!
with one recommend for computer Serato and also for 2 vinyl sl 1200 same controller
It's similar, but not quite the same as having a DJ mixer. If you don't mind the software based FX of Serato, then it's pretty good!
I love my one but for some reason when I plug my tech 1200 mk5 into it it doesn’t work. Any ideas why?
Ohhh, I can't answer that one as I haven't tinkered around with those settings. Let me see if I can find a solution!
Rane One can be used with Virtual DJ??
I video mix and interested to buy one of those ,, thanks 🙏
I believe so! Check VDJ's website, they have a full list over there 😄
Thank you... literally sitting here waiting on fed ex or ups 🤣....shit is taking too long.... patience my son
Patience is an absolute virtue Eric!
Thank you for the review! I am at a toss-up between the RANE ONE and the REV7... grr...
I'll be releasing my REV7 review soon! Just been a little busy lately, getting married and all haha
Why this companies don't get an expert on mixing like you to go to their headquarters and take notes from you and other Deejays and make the perfect machine
That would be a dream come true! Maybe in the future hahaha
I just purchased this one and I have to say that I am very excited to get it. I am new to the controller game so I’m looking forward to learning more about it. Thank you for sharing this with us. Merry Christmas 🎄
It's still a pretty wonderful controller! Merry Christmas Mike!
The reason it sounded different is cause your. Depth was at 50% if u had it all the way up that would sound da same
I tried it all the way up while I was tinkering around with it, and honestly, it sounded far worse. I'm still not a fan of software-based FX, Dusty. Though admittedly, having the paddles massively improved software-based FX for me
Look exactly like my Numark Mixtrack Platinum FX, i wanted to upgrade
It's an excellent controller to upgrade to Lord Stark! Highly recommend it!
Well, some people use sync and some people are used to how DJ stuff are oriented. Maybe they'll fix things up in the future :)
It’s not targetted towards scratch djs… but has some specs to try make these jump in the wagon. The proposal for them are twelves and bigger mixers. This is oriented for open format with few scratch…
I’m afraid to buy the REV 7 because of issues and reliability! So i am still on the fence
It's pretty okay as far as I see it! But trust your instincts on these things.
Can you do four channel mixing on this??? Is there a channel switch for 3&4
Unfortunately, no. It's a 2 channel mixer only
Great review, can I also use this for EDM without scratching also?
Of course! Any genre can work
🍀 I'm looking at the REV7.
I tried but the site wasn't working. 🤷🏾♂️ What country are you in?
I perfetti moving platters. Picked up the rane 1 last week . Up'd my dj scratching 💯
It's honestly really great! Glad you enjoy the Rane One bud!
Entonces que controlador sugieres para dj comun(sorry no speak english)
Check my Best DJ Gear video! :)
Still debating on getting this but the fact the the platters aren’t centered messes with my OCD
Hahahaha, minor detail, but it's well worth the money, believe me!
Hey DJ Carlo, would the Rane One still be viable in 2024? Given that it’s been out a couple years and we’ve seen some controller advancements with built in stems controls among other things. Looking to get the Rane One as my first motorized platter controller but it’s $2000 cad.
Yes it certainly is! Have you tried the T7?
@@djcarlo no, but it’s certainly on my list! I was stuck between the Rane One or the T7 due to more recent tech and great reviews. Which would you recommend for someone starting out? Thanks!
I'd recommend the T7 if you're just starting out. Keeps the budget on point, and has everything I think you'd personally need 🥳
Carlo if possible can you do a review of Hercules inpulse 300 if possivel
Sorry I only got one on the Inpulse 500!
My problems is definitely left deck pitch fader is a bit to close to ch 1 fader gets in my way sometimes. Second the pitch bend buttons is to near the crossfader for me. Last in the list no screens for effects otherwise the best sounding controller out as of now my opinion.
I see your point. But adjusting those things is something one can easily get used to :)
at this price, 2 channel mixer was a crime, seriously.
Pretty much my biggest gripe with it! But otherwise, it's a wonderful piece of work!
I still would not change my ns7 for 10 rane ones. Just saying. No way no how
Well, what can I say, the NS7 is pretty much legendary when it comes to DJ gear. I don't have one, so the Rane One is pretty good for me now! Haha
I wouldn't say that but I got some that will fix the problem it's a kit with the controls with problems such as these kind of problems you want 4-channel mixing I have an idea for that
What kit is this?
@@djcarlo it's just I'm thinking out loud like I think I could build something with a computer module with building and chassis part making it like a standalone with the computer and power supply running from the battery to the controller and computer
IMHO i think is the best controller right now. I was planning to buy the DDJ-1000,but then i realize its been almost 3 years since its release. then i saw the Rane One,and im telling you,if Pioneer dont release a better version of the DDJ-1000,by the end of 2021...IM GONNA GET MY RANE ONE, ON CHRISTMAS =)
Hahaha well from what I can tell, the Rane One is the best unit for 2021 for sure. Get it get it!
Wait...Why Are Lights Flashing In Some Ot The Scenes?
That's just a trick of the video recording Steven. Lights don't always play well with video haha
Takes me back to the denon dns-3500 days... miss those cd players
Oh man, I think I've only seen those a handful of times! They came out around the time I started DJing
I don't just prefer motorized decks i demand it and cannot stand anything else,, u really just loose that resistance that a motorized platter has,,, plus backspins aren't the same either JS
Hahaha, I hear ya loud and clear on that! That resistance makes all the difference!
@@djcarlo every bit
🍀I picked up my Rane One and I love it. Darold (DJ DMIX )
I'm glad you're still enjoying the Rane One Darold!
Yo Champ ..could u show me the best setting at serato and rane one for Scratching mode. And also the best setting for echo at serato dj pro. Tq champ. Take care.
Actually, I have a video on that! Should be under Best DJ Settings 😄
@@djcarlo ok let me check it out. Will update u back. Tq champ.😀👌
Does the effects works on the line inputs when connected external cd players?
Nope, unfortunately it doesn't.
My name D.J.K.MUS from sierra Leon West Africa in the capital city freetown I need it how can I get it and how much
Check your local DJ stores K.MUS! You might be able to get a better lead in that sense on where to buy it and how much it'll cost. It normally costs $1,599.00
Okay are using Whatsapp pls
Can I hook up my mixer into the aux rca and run my mixer and a tech 1200?
I'm not too sure, as I've never tried. Let me see if I can give that a shot!
hey man, is the rane one compatible with djay pro AI? cheers bro
Yes! I'll post a video mix on that soon!
Dope machine. I love the rane 12 better. but this is great for anyone to buy. Great choice. it has a great sound card. no other mixer needed. controller and your PA's. done check
Amen to that! This controller is such a game changer! Thanks for watching!
My upgrade from my NS7II ... I love moving platters! Just wish it had built in effects. So far so good for me!
🍀
Thanks for watching till the end buddy! yeah moving are platters and in built effects are a must when I DJ!
Moving platters make better for scraching.
I did like that about the Rane One!
What camera do you use?
All the equipment I used is linked in the description! My camera and lenses are there too!
Sad to say that there is no hardware built-in effects unlike in the DDJ-1000 but that controller is a beast. Honestly I am picking the 1000 because I prefer jog wheels and hardware effects
Sure thing!
That is perfectly valid! I'm sure you'll enjoy that unit :)
Hi Djcarlo, do you think this is still a good choice in its price range in 2024?
It's still a pretty great controller, though I feel like the Performer is a more ideal controller nowadays
@@djcarlo thanks for the advice but thats for the performer dj hehehe and the price 🤒
Yeah, thats what I meant, especially if you're looking at controllers with moving jogwheels. The REV7 is still more expensive than both 😅
Thanks, I guess I will stick with this as I found out that the Rane Four does not have moving jog wheels. The Rane Performer is perfect, though, but I’m not a battle DJ. 🤪
Have been using ddj sr2. Would this be a good upgrade?
This will be a super upgrade! Go for it!
For me the ddj sx3 is an awesome controller. Best bang for your buck imo.
Mmhmm there is always a time and a place for something!
Rane 2 is on the way and is coming with 4 channels and more options
I do hope so bud! Can't wait to see what Rane has for us next!
And i bet these are the same people that complain that the Denon Prime Go cost too much last year. And some had the nerve to ask why it cost so much, or think that it should cost half the of the original price... Some people are really delusional. Lol
Thanks for watching! And for sharing your honest thoughts!
It's hard to make DJs happy lol
@@djcarlo Yes it is.
Thanks for the in depth review Terry! The Rane One is honestly absolutely amazing.
All I can say is new hardware, new software, and stem separation technology, is what got me back into DJing, let's all have fun, and mash sh@# up!!!
That'll be done in a couple of years for sure. The future is now!
@@djcarlo stem separation is present not future… Serato is getting rear more than ever…
I bought it when it fist came out...took it back 5 days later for no other reason that it lacked features
Oh man! So sorry to hear that it wasn't for you. What other features were you looking for in the Rane One?
Jv movements Mr 876 from 🇯🇲 👌 rane is great
They are JV! Love the Rane stuff!
Quite nice but expensive. I suggest use what you have and learn more dj techniques by practicing. Also sign up to record pools. The music types we play at gigs makes a difference. Not the equipment.
Exactly. But of course, DJ companies will always be making new stuff to cater to DJs :)
NUMARK NS7III IS THE BEST CONTROLLER EVER..
I keep hearing that :)
☘️ late to the comments but this controller is hands down amazing.
🍀 I'm a hamster dj. Is the crossfader reversible?
Yup yup! It's in the settings!
I hope pioneer release a ddj 2000 srt with s11 features
That'll make a beast of a controller for sure :)
Just copped the Rane One and just found out that it doesn't have on board FX which is a bummer bc I haven't had a mixer yet with them and was really looking forward to having some. Should I return it for a Rane 70 or 72?
Hnm you gotta have the feature you need most
Well as of now just say Pioneer Rev7 for the battle style/hip-hop DJ
Yup yup! The REV7 was really designed for that crowd, but so was the Rane One. Might do a versus video on these two eventually.
