    Its awesome when we can see the others following while we're hooking one.
    Where did you park/launch?
    Thought the main car park does not have space for trailers.

    • @fishingmad
      @fishingmad  4 роки тому

      Hi Sebastian, it sure is awesome when you see other redfin following the lures. Such a great site. Just to the left of the main car park is a dirt road and I was able to back my trailer there without causing any disturbance. Launching was a little awkward either having to walk a couple of minutes to the launching platform or dropping the yak in from the grass which has a couple of foot drop. Might be one to test mid week first as it gets might busy there on weekends. Hope that helps.

    Awesome video mate, are there easy to launch spots for the yak ?

    • @fishingmad
      @fishingmad  4 роки тому +1

      Launching was a little tricky there, I parked opposite the man car park as i didn't want to take up 2 spots with the trailer. When I got my yak down to the water i noticed about a 2 or 3 foot drop from the bank to the water. I had someone help me lower the kayak in the water. later I found a really nice access spot a little further down. Turn left at the main entrance and walk about 50 meters and its there. Just requires a little more walking with the kayak. Hope that helps.

      There is only a few waters in Vic where its illegal to return redfin. Im a big advocate for following the rules and guidelines and understand in many other states its illegal or encouraged not to return them. In this lake and most around the area its completely optional whether you keep or return to the water. I did a bit of both kept some for my mate and also returned some.
