I had the M1 11" with the keyboard and found it too small. It was great for using it only as an ipad (games and reading) but when I wanted to do more I was hindered. I sold it and got the 13" M4 and LOVE it! It's light enough to do the normal ipad stuff but it's quite useful at times as a laptop replacement and when I'm not using it I have it on a stand next to my desktop rather than a second monitor so I can watch UA-cam, Twitch etc... while having my full screen. I guess for me I found the 13 to just useful in more situations. The extra screen also makes a difference when using it for sheet music. Personally I haven't noticed much of a difference at all in portability... I truly thought I would. At the same time though I went from a 16" MBP to a 14" and have been pleased with the smaller size on that.
I’m the opposite. Went from 13” to 11” and i can never go back. The 11” is so much more portable it’s not even funny. The aspect ratio on the 13” isn’t great at all, not much of a difference from the 11” if you pay attention to the sizes of the actual videos when played. I can also type 118 words per minute on the 11” Magic Keyboard so..
I bought the original M1 12.9 and used it for a couple years. Upgraded to the M4 11” and I really prefer it since I work with it a lot in my vehicle and on planes. I see the appeal of the 13” but for me it’s the 11” for the win. Actually prefer the 14” MBP which is a replacement for a 16” MBP. I think the next time I upgrade the MBP it’s going to be a MacStudio since the MBP rarely leaves my office.
@@jeradtech I’ve considered the same, but for the longest time I used an iMac at home and iPad for my day job when in the field which is most days. It is nice to know that with the MBP, if needed you I can grab it and go. Guess it comes down to power/ports vs portability for the $$$$ spent.
I have always liked the "traditional" iPad size because it's just nicer to hold and use. As an artist I do like the added screen real estate, but I can live with the 11 inch. Actually...I have been insatiably curious about the iPad MINI!
My learnt lesson was, if youre going to use the keyboard regularly, pick the big iPad, as it will feel more like a laptop but moreso, the screen makes more sense and the keyboard is in a good size. The keyboard on the smaller ipad definitely feels very small. If the iPad is going to be used more like a regular tablet without a keyboard much of the time, or not at all, i think the 11 inch may be better.
Put it like this. I studied size and have an 11" Samsung. I love Samsung but desired upgrading to the Apple-sphere. So I bought the iPad 13" because I found the 11" to small for my art needs and watching UA-cam or other feeds. I much prefer the 13"🎉
I went for the 13” iPad Pro. I have used the 11” iPad Pro since it came out and upgrading each time a newer version is out. But this time I find that extra real estate is more useful in my workflow and work intuitively. I’m happy that I went with the 13” ISO the 11”.
When the M4 iPad Pros released I purchased an M1 iPad Air 11 as soon as it went on sale for $399. I coupled it with the last gen Combo Touch which was also on sale (what can I say, I'm cheap). I recently made an overnight flight and took the iPad instead of my MBP 14, and found it very convenient both for going through security and using while crammed in the coach section. Since it wasn't a business trip the iPad Air met all of my needs.
I had a 9th gen iPad for about 3 years but I’m probably gonna upgrade to the 13” i prefer the larger screen and it would be better for my gaming and art
I’ve always had the small iPad, but I wanted to try the big one. The biggest problem is the price. The big one is way more expensive. So I searched a second hand one just to figure out if I like the size. I’ve bought the 2015 iPad Pro. I agree with you, the 11” has its advantages, especially on the portability and I think it’s better for me (I’m a PE teacher). I’m keeping my 2020 11” iPad Pro for work, but I like my 12.9” iPad Pro to watch videos on UA-cam and to relax. I’m such a big fan on iPads that I want both. What a shame that I don’t have much money for that.
i found the 13 inch way too big to even take it outdoors the 11 inch is so much better for outdoor use indoors i have my 14900k rtx 4090 desktop or my macbook pro 16. the 11 inch also feels so much better in hands and for gaming is top.
At times I regret trading in my 2018 IPad Pro as it was a beast; my current 6th gen 12.9 depletes quick even though the battery is fine. Contemplating trading in for an 11 inch
Offer up you can get an m1 or m2 iPad with a Magic Keyboard for around $500 bro. I used mine that i bought from there for years (got both the iPad Pro and Magic Keyboard for $500) until i upgraded to my m4 iPad.

I’ve been considering the same thing for my MBP but I know if I went Mac Studio I would immediately need the MBP for something.

The ultimate setup is 13” and the mini which is an amazing utility device

This is the best video I’ve seen on size comparison thanks really practical.

This is maybe the best iPad Pro size comparison video I have found. Thank you so much. ❤
Glad it was helpful!

Same here. Would love to keep both but I could buy my son his first car with the same money.
How do you feel lounging around at home with the 13 vs the 11? Do you find yourself ever thinking it would be better to be using the smaller one?
The 11” is much better for that in my opinion.
@@jeradtech thanks for the response. That helps me a lot!
Thank you for such a detailed review, I found it very useful!

I got the iPad pro and returned it to the store. I prefer to spend more time elsewhere than my screen.
@@felixlechat1780 lol like where
Which do you recommend for a student using it primarily for taking notes?
I’ve seen a few reviews that comment on instability of the keyboard. Have you found it an issue with the 11”?

11 inch is better for battery life has been proven
Just a question… I was listening to you…but the 13 inch has a smaller batter vs the 11 inch
Wow the speed of the notes syncing looks amazing 😮
I was surprised.
i wish i wasnt broke...if u dont want your ipad you can give it to me.
I want buy the 13 inch Nano texture 1tb cellular 😢

@@felixlechat1780I don’t suggest getting the nano texture
11”. Our 13” never gets used because it’s heavy and cumbersome. Even considering the iPad Mini 7 next month…
Where you get those cases that are in the photo for the video?
The cases on the iPads are the Magic Keyboard Case from Apple.
Can I buy one of these ipads?
From u of course
