Claire Phillips. WWII: With no formal training Phillips who was married to a GI who was inturned by the Japanese in the Philippines, she decided to help the POWs and the US and Allies. She ran a club with an exclusive clientele, High Ranking Japanese and local bigwigs. Using the money they paid to her she would buy citrus fruit, she and her people would boil it into concentrate, and slip it into the POW CAMPS. She got messages out from the POWs and got intelligence to the US about Troup and Naval movements. She was betrayed and survived interrogation and imprisonment and was sentenced to death but the sentence was not carried out before the US liberated her and the prison. I think the fact that she use the Japanese High command in the Philippines and bigwigs in the Philippines to fund her activities saving POWs make her totally badass. I loved your list otherwise maybe you could do another 10 successful spies and include her. Her smuggling and bribing camp cards to get more food in to the camps and to get the concentrated citrus mixture that she made to help combat Beriberi saved an unknowable amount of POWs. Her husband did died in the camp and she was informed of this but she continued her efforts.
It's not secret that most modern espionage is digital. But do full-on cyber attacks mean war? Here's our take: ua-cam.com/video/Nd0Ql3g3Tsc/v-deo.html
We need a new Gunny video. Maybe a parody video where Gunny and Hartman meet and get into a big argument.
The greatest spy in history is probably someone we don't know and never will know.
