Yes, yes I loved it. My 2021HTC was scheduled to be built 12/21/20. So close yet so far away. I'm loving it, and you too. Always ahead of the curve!. You make our life so relaxing!
This was your best video. You didn't waste 5 minutes at the beginning. The sound was all good. The cutaways and video shots were well done. You were on point. I quit watching for a while, if you keep this up, i'm back.
I do hope the customizations can be ported to the 2020, they are all software.

Thanks for posting this and all your content, Rick. I just got my '21 HTC on 12/23/20 and the owner's manual is a pain to read through. So instead of doing all the reading from a convoluted manual with no illustrations, I'll just come to your channel for info! LOL.
The 2021 has some nice little additions....a little bit of compensation for those of us who were pushed to the 2021 model. Mine should be here at the end of January!

Thanks for sharing Rick. Sometimes it’s better to wait for the second year of production so improvements can be made and the bugs get worked out.
Just an FYI for folks: all "bug" and driving experience type changes get rolled out to 2020s as well. Example being the ECU update for fuel tuning/throttle control.
The only thing they don't get are cosmetic stuff like how the Zmode selection screen operates.
The 2020s have all the same options, just done in a different presentation format.
I got to admit (never been a racing striping fan on passenger car, but...) the multi-color full length striping choices look very good for 2021

Hey Rick I been watching you for over a year. I did not know you before I put a deposit on my C8, but I totally enjoy watching your videos. My dealer told me that my build date is the first week in January 2021 ! I will STILL be watching your videos !

This had to be one of your top 5 videos you have done, very informative. I did notice that it gives a read out of the tire pressure on one of the settings, which is a up grade for the TPMS from the 2020. BTW, by the time i saw this, its "Beer With Babe" time.

If GM was smart, these new screens would be an upgrade for the 2020. Especially since they are only software. GM ness to start thinking like smart phone companies.
Tesla does software upgrades to it models
Agreed - they made the same mistake on the C7, the display graphics were not offered or update for older models. Very shortsighted 👎🏼
I hope they use the OTA update capabilities to continue to update the software. Nothing I see here can’t be done on the 2020 since it doesn’t look like there was any hardware changes.

Am I the only one that noticed TEEN MODE, here son take the C8 for a spin by the way it's limited to 40 mph lol. On a more serious note I'd like to hear more about what you previously mentioned about seeing the C8 Z06 driving around in plain view, and it not being what we expect ?

Rick can you show us how you save and used front lift system. I am not sure how you save a bump. I know how to activate it but nor sure how you save the it. Thanks.

Thanks Rick. I just picked up a used 2021 C8 HTC (only 1300 miles on it) so it was good to see something specific to that year. I’m in the steep learning mode of this technological wonder so this was very helpful.

$86k, orig. MSRP 95k. Z51, Mag Ride, front lift, the whole shebang. I had to jump on it. My local dealer that I bought a C6, and a Camaro 2SS from was charging $50k over MSRP when these came out, and wouldn’t even let me sit in one to see if I fit. I’m 6’4” and couldn’t fit n the C7, hence the 2019 Camaro. I won’t do business with them again. I ended up getting my C8 from a Toyota dealer of all places, and they were cool all around. I’m gonna get back to doing the Corvette Wave again!

I hope they do an over the air update on the 2020s to have some of the screen changes. I'd imagine at least a few of those options will be software only. Otherwise.....time to trade in the 20 haha.

Lot's of changes with 20 to 21 infotainment screen's and car setup now all I need is bucket of popcorn and auto pilot. The technology seems better in the 21 compared to the 20 more well defined on all the modes and radio you did a great job in explaining them maybe they should have built in video manual based on the different modes Rick. Great run down also on the Apple/Android Wireless Carplay. I just a got Iphone 12 Mini so I like Apple Car Play works great in the C7 and my Toyota C-HR. Have day Rick. Tom from SC.
Hi Rick, when you counted all the logos on the C8 Corvette, I think you forgot to count all the logos on the rear window!!!! I think a redo is in order!!!!

Separate question, do you know if the GM premium leather travel bags fit in the Front Trunk? I see them pictured in the rear trunk, but if I load the Targa roof in the back, I need the “frunk” for the luggage.

Good morning Rick thanks for all your info. I just received my 2021 C8 and just had 2 recall notices and now have a problem with my radio display that shows different musical artists as I listen to a totally different music genre. Example: I have smooth jazz on but the display says Louie Armstrong or a totally different artist???
RonsDIVER Have not gotten my 2021 torch red ,LT 2, Z51,mag suspen..,,convertible as yet Dec.6,,your video assistance ,in learning about the function of ,controls ,setting up controls [in visual mode,talking throught them ,how to is wonderful ] still learning and reading through my C7 manual . Question Why the change in Top speed ? Have a 4 pt roll bar for the C7 convertible ,will it fit ,should I install it ? Not for racing ,but , for safety, do not have super confidence in lap bet alone ,to much side slippage and bet burn? Is it true ,C8 has roll bars built in ?Is there a way to install 4 pt harness w/o roll bar? love your channel ,wonderful job

2:28pm EST - Browns down by 10 - For the sake of Browns fans(as a Bucs fan) I know what it is like to deal with season after season of disappointment.
I agree the location for the phone holder/charger is not optimum.
How about a slot along the infotainment screen to the environment bar/wall. My thought is a felt lined slot that the user can adjust the width & height to cover 80% of the smart phones in the market. There the phone will be slotted at least half way down, be charging via wireless. The only problem will be people with super thick cases.
Or return with the screen/cubby hole of the C7

Red interior on the C8 is just over the top Rick. I'm a little confuse on when GM introduced the Infotainment 3 system. Why can't this system have the updates to keep up with the changes? Isn't that why GM switch over to the new system to keep up with the ever changing updates?

Fingers crossed GM sends out an OTA update with the software changes to 2020 owners.
Isn’t this part of the point of the new architecture.
I received my 2020 on Christmas Eve. Temperature was in the teens. I asked the guy to show me the HTC in action. And he couldn’t. The car would not let him put the top down. The screen said it was too cold. So much for Christmas parades with senior favorites.

At what temperature do it not allow you to operate the HTC?

I must have been a good boy since I finally took delivery of my C8 on 12/29/2020. Already almost up to the 500 mile mark. Take care and thank you for the video. BTW I let one of my friends drive the C8. Fell in love with it and put a deposit on a 2022. BTW #2 I did tell him to subscribe to your channel since I felt you have the most up to date and accurate C8 info.
Very cool affordable super car. I'm thinking of getting one since it may be the last generation full gas super cars.
I too was pushed from a 2020 to a 2021, but it looks like its going to be worth it. I guess I'm glad that I have my 2015 Convertible SS Camaro to hold me over tell it gets here. The tough decision will be to decide do I keep both? Since the "vette" isn't a convert, the decision is obvious? It's so nice to know all the little subtle changes. Wireless Andriod auto is worth it.
Rick, why can't GM upgrade the software on my 2020 to replicate the 2021?
2020 Owners should be able to go into the dealer and get the updated software. If they didn’t think of this, it just goes to show how disconnected they are. Get with the program GM!

I’m confused. My dealership still doesn’t have an allocation for my 2021 c8 and estimated I’d receive my vehicle of next year summer. Should I switch dealership or is this normal?

nah, she was not cleaned for delivery and you may have seen how many miles til empty not how many on the car
