Hey justin is there any difference in power or other performance mods in the "Sport mode" vs "Track Mode"??
There's no additional power, but the throttle sensitivity changes throughout the modes so it might feel like it has a little more pep in Track mode.
@@HorsePowerObsessed Ah ok..thanx man...I only ask because I'm more akin to the TACHOMETER gauge which is sport mode...

Hennessy published C8 acceleration numbers. No doubt he's one of the most knowledgeable in the world and made sure these are adjusted properly and spot-on:
0-60 in 4.14 secs
1320 in 11.98/116
Half mile in 18.76/143
Dyno: 466.2WHP/451.4TQ
So a bit faster than a C7 Z51. The WHP is excellent for a DCT.
I have to admit, the electronic gimmickry is very impressive. But by the time I can even figure out one-tenth of what the computers can do, The C10 generation will be out. 🤦🏼♂️😉 I'm guessing the "Speed Warning" is an audio alarm of sort? If so, this is nothing new and history repeats itself The late C2, specifically the '67 and early C3's had the option, known as the "Speed Alert," RPO U15 option. Of course that system was just a tad easier to set. Even I was able to figure that one out!😉
I'm thinking you may not get to "play" with your C8 as soon as you hoped. GM is closing down their factories. Ford as well. Please keep us posted if yours has made it through the assembly line. Save the Wave🙋🏼♂️

I've got a question. I have a c7 currently and I'm not really sold on the c8 yet. I really want to see 1 in person. But since you've seen 1 and drove 1. Would you let your zr1 got for a c8?
Not in a million years. My C7 ZR1 is the better car for sure, but once the C8 Z06 comes out? That might change. For now the C8 is a fantastic car, but it doesn't top the C7 ZR1.
Great job thanks for this thorough yet short review! I've watched a couple Corvette Museum deliveries(one over 40 min!) & neither comes anywhere close to yours on the C8's impressive ability to customize what matters most in a driver's car - the instruments! They sure did a great job there. Go easy on that 0-60 time at 500 miles my friend! I've heard Chevrolet is recommending not tracking them before 1500 miles, so it stands to reason going for a best time so early not a good idea? Doesn't seem worth it to me, but then the C8 is so damn fast at 3/4 it'll do 60 I bet in half the time of my Acura Type-S at 6.5! 😂

How did you like the GT1 seats?
I'm doing a review of the interior on this car as well but the GT1 seats were quite comfortable. The only difference I notice between those and the GT2 is 100% aesthetic. They feel exactly the same to sit in.
@@HorsePowerObsessed if you're a bigger person like me @270 the GT2 seats are way more comfortable, I've set in all 3. The competition sets being the worse for comfort.
GT2 seats have 3 pluses, a little more cushioning and adjustable bolsters, nicer quality leather, well worth the small cost as long as you have a 2LT, 3LT the GT2 seats are a standard option.

The C7 does the exact same things with a different dashboard layout and graphics. Both cars tell you the same info in a different way. Don't make this out to be some world beating technology because it ain't.
