  • How I fixed the seized centre or main stand problem on my Honda CG125. Others might have a different solution but this worked for me. Should also apply to other small older Hondas like the CB125 etc.
    ...and a visit from the cat at the end.

    You have absolutely nail it with that idea..
    Like you mentioned it saves the frame holes from going oval plenty of grease too !

      It has worked for about ten winters with just a couple of pumps of grease every now and again. Took it apart as I wanted to see how well it was holding up.

      I'm just rebuilding my 4th cg this particular one is the honda cargo basically a cg125 with a solo seat quite a rare bike in the uk just for the Brazilian Market god knows how it landed in Northamptonshire I saw it advertised on the honda cg125 f/b forum I had to buy it 😊
      Jumped in my van and fetched it back to Yorkshire "

    Thinking about swapping from centre to side stand on my CG125 and wanted to eyeball the job, not sure I'm convinced about it yet but handy to see your tinkering!

      I added an aftermarket side stand to mine - can't be seen in the video as it is on the other side. It is part of the foot rest setup that bolts on under the engine. I never use it and can't remember why I wanted it to be honest. Center stand is very useful for doing maintenance.
