Was I the only one who liked Manon from the start? I mean she is awesome and imagining her swift leathal attitude really encompasses the way she was physically described and I loved her relationship with her and the thirteen and I felt a tinge of defiance between her and her grandmother hopefully the crochan got through to her because I'd hate to see Manon die.
I used to hate it but then Empire I’d Storms happened and I was in love!!! During Queen of Shadows I was like okay yeah I like it... then Empire if Storms happened and I was like! 🤩. Love your Rowan and Aelin!!!
I CANNOT wait to see your reaction to Queen of Shadows! Heir of Fire is just the tip of the iceberg girl!! My favorite scene I think was the confrontation with Maeve. SO GOOD! My fave character is still Calaena/Aelin. I love her so much. This was the book where my love for Chaol was slowly dying. I mean, I still love him, but I look at him completely differently now. I LOVE Dorian, and Manon, but not so much her in this book. Rowan grew on me quite a bit in the next 2 books. Your reactions to Heir of Fire were pretty similar to my reactions. :) Great video, loved it!
juliababyjen I personally always cared for chaos but never felt them as a couple, I couldn't get into it. Love Dorian and Sam and Rowan. Aelin my favorite character too. I've only read through heir of fire but really want to read the rest.
Hahaha oh boy, I've read QOS at this point and I know what you mean! XD I totally get what you said about Chaol, I'm not crazy about him at this point but I also feel like he overreacted and put all this blame on Aelin & by the end he almost kind of redeemed himself for me! Everyone else I really love :)
This whole time I was just nodding my head and going "yep" "yeah" "I know right!" and it was great. Its been a while since I've read HoF and I loved being reminded of all the little details.
and woah same the ending left me SOBBING SO HARD. I remember my mom came in my room and saw me crying on my bed over this book and she was like: "ah, it's a book again."
Jen _29 this is late but like the only reason I sobbed wasn’t for her but more like I felt bad for Dorian and oh GOD Dorian at the end ugh I’m heart broken.
Omg I’m coming to this video late but I LOVE this book. Manon is my favorite... and Abraxos seriously reminded me of Toothless!! Thank you!! I’m not the only one lol ....the ending made me angry cry. I’m currently reading Empire of Storms.
It's been about 6 months since I read this book and you just brought back all the feels! Everything was my favourite! You can not make me choose!!!!!! I did really like the fact that SJMass let Celena fall apart in this book. That does not happen alot in YA :)
THE FEELS XD And totally, she was just kind of torn down and rebuilt anew and it was actually really great! She gained all this confident in herself that wasn't shrouded by the conceitedness and I LOVE IT
I loved this book sooo much ever since heir of fire the series stepped up so much, so excited for your empire of storms booktalk....you'll have a LOT of feels 😎
Sorcha was not deliberately being a rat, Ren had been pushing her for information on the King and she had been writing to him when Dorian came into her Chambers and she scrunched it up and put it in the bin for her horrible matron to give to the king. Thus causing him to know she was involved somehow. I cried so hard when she died, 😢
Can I just say thank you for the recap. Read up to this book last year and want to get to queen of shadows soon. This recap helped me recall a lot. Loved it!!! ❤️❤️❤️
thank you for this! I read these in high school but stopped at empire of storms so I've been looking up recaps before I start tower of dawn because the last time I read this series was in 2016 😅
I have the exact same thoughts on Dorian! Didn't like him in the first book at all, in the third one I really started liking him and he became one of my favorite characters, and the only thing I have to say is: WAIT TILL THE EMPIRE OF STORMS! My favorite male character in the series!
You should read the exclusive scene in empire of storms, the deleted scene from heir of fire. I love it so much it was the scene of Rowaelin together. You can search it up on google.
Hahaha awesome! Honestly after I read QOS I like them, but I don't love them together. Personally I thought she would be awesome on her own! An independent woman ;) But I'm really not fully opposed to anyone anymore!
Unpopular opinion: Heir of Fire was my least favourite book. I KNOW, I KNOW I HAVE SPOKEN UNFORGIVABLE HORRORS! But for me, it was just sooooooo slow. I didn't like the Manon scenes one bit, I saw no point in them for the story, and the scenes with Chaol and Aedion were eh...I did however, like the Rowan and Celeana bits, but I was a bit confused on how Rowan knew she was there at the beginning, and it felt like she was very much forced there against her will, even though she technically wasn't. I also had no idea when the final fight began, I was like, "WOAH THIS IS HAPPENING NOW?" It was just so out of the blue, I mean how did they know there was a leader called Narrok? I thought it was just four random Valg dudes...it literally confused me so much. Though the confusion might be because I wasn't paying attention that much as the story line didn't really interest me in this book. However, this book did have it's strong points, for example, once I realised the fight scene was happening, I was like "yeah this is totally awesome!!"; and the bit with Maeve, as well as at the end with Chaol, Dorian, Aedion and the King, that was totally amazing!!! I also greatly enjoyed the scene where Rowan punched Celeana in the face, and when Celeana also got to get her own back later on in the book. Overall, it was still a good story but...I only like this book for the last few chapters, they are what saved it. Now the Queen of Shadows, that is what you call a holy, god like, brilliant, amazing book!!! But that is a story for another time...:)
i'm so happy that you love Dorian and Chaol has much I do! if you think Dorian made you feel things in this book, just wait till the next one... as for Celeana, no, she cannot get a break.
WAIT WAIT okay okay I have a question because reading heir of fire, i just honestly kept hoping that rowan would redeem himself, that his behavior would be properly explained, and while his coldness and anger was explained, i just cant get over when he told Aelin "you probably would have been more useful to the world if you'd actually died ten years ago" and he just kept shoving her down when she was trying to come up and change rather than help him. and like.... I get his anger and his horrible training techniques being explained by the fact that he lost his mate and that made him cold and bitter and overall angry. but he kept shoving aelin and when she was beginning to try and put in effort, rather than help her he literlaly fucking told her that she should've died as a kid LIKE WHO THE FUCK DOES THAT. so i just need to know HOW THE ENTIRE FUCKING "FANDOM" shipped rowan and aelin after this because i am sorry but i dont remember him apologize for saying she should have died and i really dont get how those who hate tamlin can accept rowan i just cant. its making reading empire of storms so hard because they keep building their relationship and i just need someone to help me accept this by giving me proper facts as to why we should excuse rowan telling aelin she should have died when she was 8. I NEED HELP with this
woow, great point. I never thought in this before, why a kid should have died? He did not even apologize to her for that. But this was a mistake by author, it should not affect the both in my opinion.
I agree about Aelin and Rowan. I don’t want them to be romantically involved ever. It just feels like a repeat of the Chaol and Celaena dynamic, and my heart is still with Chaol. I understand that Rowan represents her true powerful self though, but still, it feels too obvious and I would MUCH rather they stay friends. My heart breaks for Chaol.
I f****** loved your reaction and I I haven't finished I am almost 36 pages left a bad I was just too impatient so I just thought ok but I'm I'm going to watch this video and I watched it and it's got spoilt man really I was just it's 36 pages whatever and definitely one of my favourite favourite favourite book which when I when I got that it's very romantic and fantasy bases but it's not very steamy I was like😒 but I was two books ago and now I'm in LOVE❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ WITH THIS BOOK SO MUCH And I'm that kind of reader who cannot put the book down and you can imagine (I'm working 10 hr a day) so I haven't slept in 4 days and I haven't eaten and I haven't like bath or go to the bathroom properly🤦🏻♀️🤷♀️
I just viewed them more as friends and partners in crime in HOF than I did as lovers, especially after Rowan talked about losing his mate & unborn child. And I know that was a long long time ago, but it still bothered him so I didn't really see him getting with Aelin...its an unpopular opinion apparently hahaha I'm sorry!
im just done with heir of fire and ill start reading queen of shadows well ive always thought that sorscha is an imposter, dorian was so naive and stupid but still broke my heart for exposing his magic infront of his evil ass dad, chaol should be lucky even though he was on both sides and not choosing one, for aedion i thought hes evil at the beggining and then i started to understand him bit by bit, for manon all i got that she and iskra hate each other as blackbeak vs yellowlegs anyway i can honestly give heir of fire 3 and half star out of 5 cuz the manon part was boring but i was into to the story even half of manon i didnt get.......my fav part was when everyone spread the news about aelin that shes alive i liked the reaction of aedion it was epic i think hes in love with her....
Same. I trusted her right away. Lol. I honestly don’t try to predict things in books. I just read. I shipped her and Dorian in HOF and I cried when she died.
Unpopular opinion alert: I felt like 80% of this book was unnecessary. Like, the book could have been cut down to 200 pages long and you wouldn't have missed anything.
"Dorian did not deserve any of this at all"
The series summed up
I'm hearing you say "Can't Celaena catch a break," and I'm just here shaking my head like, "You have no idea."
Afrida Ashraf same here 🙋🏻
HAHAH NOOOOO XD
Was I the only one who liked Manon from the start? I mean she is awesome and imagining her swift leathal attitude really encompasses the way she was physically described and I loved her relationship with her and the thirteen and I felt a tinge of defiance between her and her grandmother hopefully the crochan got through to her because I'd hate to see Manon die.
You’re not, I liked her from the very first chapter she appeared in 😂
Maeve sound a lot like Voldemort with the whole pure blood thing...
She is way more than voldemort
"I will hate it if Rowan and Aelin get together" well you are in for a wild ride XD
Ikr when she said that I was like o_o
HAHAHAHAHA okay I've read QOS and I don't HATE it but I'm not 100% for it either 😝
I used to hate it but then Empire I’d Storms happened and I was in love!!! During Queen of Shadows I was like okay yeah I like it... then Empire if Storms happened and I was like! 🤩. Love your Rowan and Aelin!!!
I don't understand ha ha from my point of view they are already practically together xD
Star Kal same here 😂
aww haha this one definitely picked up the series for me! :)
and woah same the ending left me SOBBING SO HARD. I remember my mom came in my room and saw me crying on my bed over this book and she was like: "ah, it's a book again."
I KNOW I WAS SOBBING AND I SPENT 20 MINUTES EXPLAINING WHAT HAPPENED TO MY MOM AND SHE SAID, "Can I go to sleep now?" XD
I was never emotionally attached to Sorscha
Yeah I agree, they should have introduced her sooner so that we would love her more!! I only pretty much felt bad for Dorrian.
Yes absolutely right. I kept seeing if celaena was the next chapter whenever I was on a chaol/Manon/Dorian chapter
I couldn’t relate more to this, I did the exact same thing
"Weird keys" XD also when you said "I'd hate it if Aelin and Rowan get together" I was like... "Waugh..."
‘she’s an iron teeth witch that has iron teeth’
It's been about 6 months since I read this book and you just brought back all the feels! Everything was my favourite! You can not make me choose!!!!!!

I loved this book sooo much ever since heir of fire the series stepped up so much, so excited for your empire of storms booktalk....you'll have a LOT of feels 😎
Hahaha it DEFINITELY stepped up! And oh boy, EOS, I'm scared XD
I shipped celorian first but then Rowan walked in I immediately changed my ship to Rowan and Celaelana
Wait until you read Queen of Shadows! It was incredible. And then empire of storms!! I look forward to those book talks :)
QOS was definitely incredible! (my reply is so late that I already read it hahah) but I haven't yet conquered EOS! Hopefully soon!
Oh boy. Prepare yourself.
Where has your channel been all my life? I love your energy!!
I didn't like a lot of the characters in this series at first too. I didn't like Rowan, Aedion, and Dorian. They all grew on me.
Definitely, it's definitely a process to like them ;)
YES SOMEONE ELSE WHO HAD HEIR OF FIRE AS THEIR FAVE OMG YASS
Can I just say thank you for the recap. Read up to this book last year and want to get to queen of shadows soon. This recap helped me recall a lot. Loved it!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Aww no problem! Thanks for watching!
thank you for this! I read these in high school but stopped at empire of storms so I've been looking up recaps before I start tower of dawn because the last time I read this series was in 2016 😅
this is my favorite book in the series omg!!!!
My favorite character was Rowan from this book and the best part was when celaena threatened Maeve with her fire power 🔥
Are you going to do to a book talk for ACOMAF?
this is such a late reply I'm so sorry, but its already up! :)
Yay! I'm sooo glad you've gotten into the throne of glass series I totally looove the throne of glass series
SAME!
I can't wait till you read queen of shadows, that one is my favorite of all!
I'm late replying to comments (I'm sorry!) so I actually read QOS already! XD SO. GOOD.
Wait, I thought Sorsha was a rebel and was reporting to Wren?? Was she actually reporting to the King?
I have the exact same thoughts on Dorian! Didn't like him in the first book at all, in the third one I really started liking him and he became one of my favorite characters, and the only thing I have to say is: WAIT TILL THE EMPIRE OF STORMS! My favorite male character in the series!
Oh man I CANT WAIT BECAUSE I LOVE MY BABY DORIAN
I ship Chaol/Celaena but I also ship rowan/Aeiln. If that makes since
MY FAVORITE BOOK EVER TO BE CREATED IN THE HISTORY OF BOOKS!!! Also Rowalien is bae, #ship
Also totally with you on Dorian being adorable, his theme song would be “Let it Go” 😂
Let me just add that I skipped all sections of Manon be
Cause they just bored me. Hope I didn't miss anything crucial for the next books XD
Trin C You missed a lot of character development and cute scenes
Thanks for the info, I'll have to reread those scenes 😅❤️
It's gonna take you a while to like her tho
Hahaha I had been considering that too up until the point she finds Abraxos! Once that happened I was ALL IN XD
Yeah you should read the Manning stuff because she becomes very important later.
You should read the exclusive scene in empire of storms, the deleted scene from heir of fire. I love it so much it was the scene of Rowaelin together. You can search it up on google.
Hahaha okay! I'll try to find it :)
This is great. It feels like I'm reliving my feelings after finishing this book :):)
Hahah thanks! This one in the series was SO GOOD! :)
Agreed! It's probably my favorite one. Can't wait for your Queen of Shadows book talk!
When she talks about this monster und er the lake and im just thinking: Its the brother of the bone idk from acowar
"Cursing or cussing" great!
Amazing review!!! So much detail 😊 looking forward to checking out your other reviews of books I've read. Loovvveee you enthusiasm. 😁😊😀

Hahaha IT WAS SO GOOD! XD
just wanted to say you sound cool i'm glad we are reading the same series and i.m like your page
I totally needed a HoF recap and this was perfect... 👌 and who DO you ship Aelin with if not Rowan?
Hahaha awesome! Honestly after I read QOS I like them, but I don't love them together. Personally I thought she would be awesome on her own! An independent woman ;) But I'm really not fully opposed to anyone anymore!
nooooo Rowan and Aelin are my literal otp.
I'm sorry! its an unpopular opinion apparently! At this point I've come around to liking them, but I still don't love them hahaha :)
I've been dying for you to complete the series and I saw on goodreads that you finished QoS. Has your opinion on Rowaelin changed?
Hahaha it hasn't 100% changed! I'm still very much on the border about Rowaelin, but I don't HATE it either :)
I'm obsessed with Rowaelin!! I love them sm!!
Aww haha I'm sorry I didn't enjoy them that much! Maybe in the next few books :)
yeah i can't believe what happened in the ending! sarah j. maas can be a monster when it comes to cliffhangers D:

as for Celeana, no, she cannot get a break.
Omg every Dorian scene in QOS made me cry, no joke! And omg I think by now she deserves one hahaha
Dorian is the cutest
um have you finished the series???!!
Heir of Fire was a roller coaster of emotions!! can't wait to see what you think about the rest of the series ☺☺
Hahaha it definitely was! XD
Wait bro wasn’t sorscha sending letters to a rebel???? And the king only found out because he found one of them in the trash
plz plz keep reading .... Queen of Shadows is even better....so many feels
Hahaha I finished QOS recently actually! (I'm late to replying to comments, I'm sorry!) And It was SO GOOD! :)

Notification squad 🙌 Where you at?
I honestly hope that when you read QoS and specially EoS you read it with open eyes to see all the problems those books have
like what?
I f****** loved your reaction and I I haven't finished I am almost 36 pages left a bad I was just too impatient so I just thought ok but I'm I'm going to watch this video and I watched it and it's got spoilt man really I was just it's 36 pages whatever and definitely one of my favourite favourite favourite book which when I when I got that it's very romantic and fantasy bases but it's not very steamy I was like😒 but I was two books ago and now I'm in LOVE❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ WITH THIS BOOK SO MUCH
And I'm that kind of reader who cannot put the book down and you can imagine (I'm working 10 hr a day) so I haven't slept in 4 days and I haven't eaten and I haven't like bath or go to the bathroom properly🤦🏻♀️🤷♀️
i reallly thought sorcha was vexing the whole time
I also loved Aedion until that one scene in Kingdom of Ash with Lysander in the war tent and OMG I HATE HIM!
what chapter does Rowan see Alien's scars?? I forgot. ❤️
The best one
I've you don't ship them you will hatte the next book
why don't you ship Rowaelin?????!!!
It's taking me like half a year to get through Heir of Fire if not longer. I haaaate multiple perspectives and find them so hard to read :(
Awww they definitely can be! I enjoy them because you see all sides of the story, but push through and you'll love the story!
Good luck with the rest of the series then
awdnenf i fucking love rowaelin
im just done with heir of fire and ill start reading queen of shadows well ive always thought that sorscha is an imposter, dorian was so naive and stupid but still broke my heart for exposing his magic infront of his evil ass dad, chaol should be lucky even though he was on both sides and not choosing one, for aedion i thought hes evil at the beggining and then i started to understand him bit by bit, for manon all i got that she and iskra hate each other as blackbeak vs yellowlegs anyway i can honestly give heir of fire 3 and half star out of 5 cuz the manon part was boring but i was into to the story even half of manon i didnt get.......my fav part was when everyone spread the news about aelin that shes alive i liked the reaction of aedion it was epic i think hes in love with her....

This is the end of the first trilogy of Throne of Glass series
Why. Just why. Why Dorian of all people? MY SWEET CINNAMON ROLL WHO DESERVED NOTHING BUT GOOD?!? (also please no spoilers for the rest of the series)
I ship Rowan and her so hard
Hahaha so many people do XD
you should read the end of empire of storms
People have been telling me this! Maybe I will, thanks!
nesta isn't llyrian
Must be female instincts, cuz I was all up for trusting sorsha.
Same. I trusted her right away. Lol. I honestly don’t try to predict things in books. I just read. I shipped her and Dorian in HOF and I cried when she died.
You look like Hannah Montana😍
Unpopular opinion alert: I felt like 80% of this book was unnecessary. Like, the book could have been cut down to 200 pages long and you wouldn't have missed anything.
If it was cut down, the whole book would have felt rushed.
That's a pamphlet.
