Lysandra killed Arobynn with Arobynn own knife, that he kept under his pillow. Also, I felt horrible for Kaltain. So sad, being used and abused and discarded
Chaol annoyed me! I was no longer team Chaolena after this book, I am TEAM ROWAN!!!!!! TeamRoaelin There scenes were so HOT!! Like I had to remind myself that he was just a character lol! Still LOVE Dorian! I felt so bad for him ... when Sorscha died, when he was trapped, when no one could see he was still in there (except for Manon). So happy when he was set free! I just want there to be only happiness, which means Dorian + Manon, Chaol+Nesyrn, Rowan+Aelin, Aedion+Lysandra --that all need to just be together as couples and rule the world lol
Queen of Shadows and Empire of Storms are definitely my favorites of Sarah's works, the plot is just soooo good and it never quite happened to me before to like so many side characters from a book.
Hey just letting you know, a stiletto is like a really thin dagger, she didn't use her shoe to kill him lolol. And Lysandra has some bomb ass scenes in Empire of Storms!
That part where manon and aelin were fighting and manon said swords are lame and they both just ditch their swords for claws and knives... i just knew all hell would break lose
When she started talking about spoilers i was like "oh now I can't watch it" .. but then I realized that i have actually read the book but totally forgot that i did. Is that a thing?
Chaol only really turned against Aelin when she said she had to kill Dorian because there was no hope for him. I didn't blame him for how he treated her after that, she lied to him about who she really was and blamed him for Nehemias death when it wasn't his fault at all then insists on killing his best friend whos like a brother to him. She doesn't try to convince Chaol that it's the better choice she just tells him shes going to kill Dorian and later lies to him and says she won't. And she was wrong , he was still in there. If she had gotten her way Dorian would have died.
Here's a crazy thing to that I don't get that people who are fans of QoS like..how easily they can accept friendship falling apart then family, like for Example: In QoS: Let just say Chaol and Dorian are related [brothers who love each.] and Aelin wants to kill dorian [chaol brother] easily we all would have been in chaol side b/c we all would of done the same thing for our sibling and wants to do anything to save them from a possessing demon, but chaol and dorian are not related their friends and Aelin wants to kill chaol's best friend dorian and chaol wants to stop her from doing that,so we all not gonna be on chaol side on that. Also another surprising thing is that dorian fans weren't pissed about Aelin saying or wanting to kill dorian b/c there's "NO HOPE FROM HIM,HE'S GONE NOW THERE'S NOTHING WE CAN DO FOR HIM!" and gonna take her word then chaol,like...your fav heroine wants to kill your well beloved fav. character..like...you guys have every right in the world [as well & much as chaol] to be pissed at her saying or even hell trying to kill dorian. The QoS Fans: Awww, well their friends anyway its not like chaol and dorian are related and OMG
I love your booktalks!! Sarah J Maas' books are so much fun! I'm a sucker for romance and i, for some reason, love clichés... So, I really enjoy the 'i hate u' turns to 'i'm in love with u' kinda stuff. xD ps: will there be an empire of storms and tower of dawn book talk?
At the beginning with Chaol and Aelin fighting I was like there child watching them fight. That’s the best way I can describe it 😂 I was on both sides. I don’t like that Chaol called her I monster but I kinda see where he was coming from.
Bruh spoilers so people who haven't read TOG series,...leave. ASH. HEIR OF FIRE IS MY FAV AND THE BEST IN MY OPINION OF THE WHOLE SERIES BY FAR. So many things went differently in that book. it was a game changer. everything was changed and the game and risk was higher. WAY HIGHER. QOS made me hate Chaol. I hated like how SJM wrote him in this one. Elide is such an underrated character...EOS expands that and I LIVE FOR IT. Also I like how you pronounce her name lol. (Ee-Lyde). I pronounce it as E-Leed. lol. Lorcan. ha.ha...... duuuuude.....there's just SO MUCH in the next book lmaooo. QOS really expanded the world and cast of characters. I literally could go on but I'ma stop now. lol
BRANDON, I'm literally so torn between HOF & QOS for which one I like better AHHHHhh Totally agree about Chaol UGH SJM WHY IS THAT HOW YOU PRONOUNCE IT HAHAHAHA you're the first person to tell me that. probably still going to say E-Lyde tho XD I'm dying bc I want to read EOS but I'm holding back so I don't finish what's there in the series right away but I WANT TO SO MUCH HELP
Heir of Fire is my favorite book in the series too, because that's when Aelin goes through the most development since she's forced to face her past and accepts who and what she has to become in order to save the world. Also, being introduced to Rowan was another plus.
😂😂I really like the way you spoil the book , it makes it even more interesting to read . I was laughing 😂 while watching your expressions a SPOKEN LIKE A TRUE FAN ,Lmao
I didn’t like the way the author went with the Chaol, Aelin and Rowan thing, it felt really forced to me, Chaol and Aelin were okay but all of a sudden they were like hating each other so she could be in love with Rowan, idk I just felt like it
idk man chaol started to feel like aelin was dangerous for everyone and distanced everything from her like boy even started shit talking to her. i understand like due to shook and stuff like that ppl act but he was asshole sometimes
Honestly, I kinda forgot some of the intricate details of things that happen because it's been so long since I read it. I'm so excited for you to keep reading and to hear more of your thoughts!
Chaol can't control what the king does either wtf I don't get why people hate him like what the hell he was hurt as hell and it wasn't his fault that nehemia died ugh. Yeah I pronounce manon like that too Haha I refuse. YES LYSANDRAVAJFK
I’m here in 2024 watching this somehow and chuckling because Kaltain killed Arobynn with a stiletto (knife), not a shoe, and I’m also very amused by the pronunciation of wrydhound because they definitely are “weird” even though it’s pronounced more like “word” 😂
I loovveee this review, and I agree with most of it!!, by the way if you really want to ship Aelin with Rowan, you should jump right to empire of storms, I highly recommend 🖤.
Hi! When you read EoS, I just ask you to please keep an open eye to everything that is wrong with that book. I feel like a lot of people gloss over the things that are bad, such as lack of diversity and romanticizing abusive relationships, so please try to see those bad aspects in the book
madrigal herondale I have an open eye and do acknowledge the negative aspects, but it's SO widely known across booktube that SJM has a reputation of non-diverse characters that I don't feel the need to reiterate it when we've heard it a hundred times.
I think Kaltain already had shadow fire or it ran in her family which is why the king let her stay in the castle in the first place to use her power when he put the collar on her
Also aelin was a hypocrite half the book one example is how she says non one touch’s lysandra even if she’s enslaved but she still feels like killing Dorian she was basically doing what chaol did while condemning chaol for doing it like both chaol and aelin where a bit hypocritical but everyone blindly followed aelin
Elide isn't fae, she's a human and her mother has witch blood, which didn't really make sense. The only way that would make sense is if she was part Crochan bc its said in queen of shadows that only Crochan's, while rarely can be born male. But we know that Elide's blood is blackbeak blood, who are Ironteeth witches not Crochan's so it didn't really make sense.
I love Lysandras story. I also pronounce Manon the way you do too, in this story I've grown to love her. I never liked Chaol much and not even with Aelin but I respected the relationship. I don't like how they made Chaol angry and out of character toward Aelin and how Aelin is toward Chaol. This anger Just seemed too forced. And then the whole first half and probably more of the book annoyed me because Aelin and Rowan's whole mushyness just felt like they down played her bad self and I loved her as a strong amazing character but this relationship seemed so pushed and fast paced. I loved him in he of fire and their friendship but the romance I couldn't ship. I don't know but personally bothered me. Now the end part I absolutely loved the whole plan Aelin had set up, it was amazing, I love how all the parts fit in. Aedions relationship with Aelin I loved. So to conclude I loved Dorian, Lysandra, Manon, Aedion's stories in this book and also Aelins amazing plot planning. and I agree loved that Aroybnn died.
Trin C hahaha I definitely feel the Chaol part! I loved him so much in the beginning of the series and his actions in this one definitely felt way too out of character, especially after he was still sort of pining over her in HOF 😭 I hated that SJM made us all hate him but I hope he makes a comeback because I want to love him again!
This is probably my favorite book of this series ( which isn't saying much. I'm not a fan of this series ) but i hate to say this but empire of storms was sooo boring imo one of the couples was the only saving grace
Chaol was soooo fucking misunderstood He had the most heart breaking story line He was just trying his best to save everyone I hated aelin for what she did to chaol and everything she said to him And rowan is so fucking annoying and abusive come on He and aelin suit each other since they’re both sadists The end broke my heart and chaol was most hurt 💔💔whyyyy I loved caelena but not aelin

Kaltain omg broke my heart
A stilletto is a type of dagger
My favorite scenes.
Aedion and Aelin reunited.
ALL OF ROWAN AND AELIN SCENES.
When Lysandra threw up on Lorcan.
Manon and Aelin fight scene.
Omg yess lol when Lysandra was like “Can I help you” “you have to say please” lol then threw up on him Ahhaha was so funny 😂
I can never get tired of talking about Sarah J. Maas' books
Juliana Williams hahaha apparently neither can I 😂
@@adashofash when will you do tower of dawn and kingdom of ashes

I ship manon and elide
I hated Chaol since Crown of Midnight lmao. Heir of Fire and Queen of Shadows just confirmed it for me because I'm team Rowan all the way!! 🙌

Kaltain had regular fire, but the wyrdkey turned it into shadow fire.
