Vitamin D3 and K2 contest each other for absorption! TAKE THEM AT DIFFERENT TIMES of the day. Do not take them at the same time. Difficult info to find but apparently true, it is the same story with several other vitamin combinations.
I’m a paramedic, worked during the entire pandemic, was exposed daily. I started taking 5000 IU of Vitamin D, 1000 mcg Quercitin, K2, Zinc and Magnesium. Never got COVID and haven’t had a cold either. Not changing my routine.
Discovered Quercitin a year ago. Unfortunately had long covid by that point. It healed my long Covid and I haven’t been sick in a year! Might steal this regiment.
I had a horrible response to covid due to taking PPIs than tanked my magnesium & landed me in the ER needing an infusion. A month later I caught the alpha strain & I was about 3 days from going to the hospital for breathing issues - I could literally feel my lungs filling with fluid, but it finally subsided & I've had long covid lung & hearth issues since then (thich mucus mostly). I was taking D3-K2 (1000 IU/45 mcg) daily anyway. I haven't had covid since then, despite being in & out of doctor's offices & hospitals for GERD appointments & eventual surgery. Other than a multivitamin ever 3 days & the D3-K2 daily & magnesium & Iron once every 2 weeks or so & a pinch of moringa leaves every few days, that's all I take.
Thanks from Ireland. I take vitamin D, K2, , Zinc and magnesium.. I’m in my mid 70s and don’t have a doctor but I listen to all the advice I hear and I discern what’s what. I believe that we can live out our lives without sickness and disease. I stay healthy and encourage others to do likewise. I pray for the sick daily.
I have multiple sclerosis and the vitamin d is the only way I am walking. I tried ms medication for 1 year only and took nearly 4 years to get rid of side effects. I have blood tests every month to make sure my vitamin D hasn’t dropped under a 100. I also take B12, zinc, magnesium.

People like yourself Dr. Kuehne , Dr. John Campbell, and whole host of others who have taken to the internet and shared observations and discoveries are miles ahead of the curve and I can't thank the lot of you for these efforts. It's no longer a matter of educating your uninformed/resistant doctor, it's a matter of educating yourself and steering your medical treatment. While this is hard as it is time consuming to do, and a mental adjustment to the traditional culture of approaching healthcare by letting the doctor be the expert, we are being left with no other choice.

I have a history of recurrent upper respiratory infection in the past and TB. The infectious doctor at health department suspected that I had a low vitamin D. I asked my PCP to check my vitamin D level, she was in doubt. The lab test result showed my vitamin D level was low. I have been talking vitamin D supplements since, I have never been sick with flus or covid . It’s been 7 years.
My son had hand tremors and we just found out he was very low in D3 (17). His internist told him to take 1,000 D3 per day, wrong. I started him on 10,000 D3 per day with K2 and magnesium for two weeks, then 5,000 D3 per day with K2 and magnesium which he is currently taking. My son works from home and never gets sun. His hand tremors stopped since increasing D3 per day.
Yes I also had hand tremors that everyone noticed and then I saw my Vitamin D was low….like it was 30 at one time. I take 5,000 D3 everyday with the K2.
I did similar for myself to get my D out of the teens...In addition to the D3/K2 mk7 and magnesium I also drink 3 glasses of milk a day for the calcium (calcium supplements end up in the wrong places) I got my D3 which was in the teens, had been for over a decade, up to 82 in 2.5 months..and no thanks to any doctor..I had to figure it out myself.
Great video! I have an autoimmune disease. I take D3, K2, Zinc, Quercetin, Magnesium, and Vit C daily!!! Been doing this for 5 years and it really makes a difference.

I learned to do this and not combine them so they work better together when spaced apart. I never take the D3 and K2 combos. The dosages are never what right for me anyways. That is the info I gathered. I also get my Vitamin C from natural sources veggies and fruit like lemons and limes etc in my smoothie and not a supplement.
I have a family history of colon cancer as well as personally having had previous precancerous polyps and colonoscopies every 2-3 years ever since I started in my 50’s; I’m 64 now. Shortly before lockdown in 2020, a colonoscopy revealed a cancerous polyp. It was removed successfully. I have taken 2,000 iu of D3 for over 20 years but, since COVID, I increased that to 5,000. My last colonoscopy in March of this year revealed no polyps whatsoever. The FIRST TIME I have ever had that result. The evidence may be anecdotal but it speaks volumes to me.
An increase of D3 can do wonders... I had a Psoriasis rash on my leg for almoste 30 years and have been taking D3 for many years. A low dose of perhaps 500 IU. But some five or six years ago I increased to dose to first 12.000 IU and after a few months stopped at about 8.000 IU. In just three months the rash was gone and the skin healed ever so slowly over half a year. And later during Covid, I was exposed to people who were sick but never got more than a slight cold with a runny nose and all test results were negative. So if anything, the D3 is a miracle cure, but of course need K2 (mk7), Magnesium etc to not get other symptoms.
@rianaleroux7618 we know that humans get their vit d from sunlight. We walk around clothed, and most of the time (where I live), it's cloudy. Scientific studies have proved the importance of vid d time and time again. I'd get ill twice a year before before I started taking it. I Havnt been ill for 4yrs.
I lived in Norge for 14 Years, & was very weak thin & slickly., as were My Children (They had several severe illnesses) I also lived in several other Northern European countries, as We migrated south Our health improved! We definitely know how important VitD is now, fortunately!
Yes, in the northern countries it is very difficult to get sufficient vitamin D from sunlight. We are also not eating the foods anymore that are rich in D3. vitamin D Supplementation is essential there. I’m happy you guys are healthier now that you have moved to a warmer climate.

I’m 73. Suffered from regular migraines and cluster headaches my whole life until….. I started yearly check ups and blood tests around 60 and found vitamin D was low. Dr put me on 50,000 IU D3 per week (Calciferol) about a year or so later I realised I hadn’t had a single headache in a long time. Now 13 years later and I still never get headaches, no colds and no Covid either.
For my body 10,000 units a day winter, summer 8,000. Blood at 80 to 100. After this podcast will increase to 12,000 winter drop to 10,000 summer. Thanks to all the doctors that are for maintenance of a healthy body rather than a patient that visits often!
Hi all. Diagnosed with aggressive soft tissue sarcomas 20 months ago started taking 50000 of Vit d +k2 daily. It acts as a glutamine uptake inhibitor in cancer cells. Not had any side effects from 50000 daily. It works.

It's interesting to hear the relationship between improved cancer outcomes and Vitamin D. Higher levels of aerobic fitness have been associated with improved cancer outcomes, and higher levels of aerobic fitness have also been positively correlated with levels of Vitamin D in the human body.
Yes, and this makes a lot of sense as aerobic fitness will increase micro circulation, allowing white blood cells to travel further into areas where they can actively fight cancer cells. Just like with adequate supply of vitamin D3, improving immune function is extremely important and often overlooked.
Great information thankyou. I’ve been taking these vitamins, so good to have confirmation. However, getting levels checked by a GP in the UK in the NHS would be highly unlikely. It’s hard enough if you’re actually ill with something.
My low vit d level was found after a routine blood test, which is repeated annually. A rheumatoid consultant requested all GPS in his area to offer the test. So not highly unlikely. I take 5000 i.u. Daily

Unfortunately here in East Yorkshire, even if the patient (me) gets the GP to request it among a set of blood tests the labs are bound by the ruling of the Clinical Commission Group to refuse to it, apart from exceptional circumstances, which would probably see a patient in hospital in any case. Only EY hospitals can request and get a test done. Twice a year I now buy my own blood tests that the NHS refuse to do.

In the US there are several companies offering online scripts for a variety of blood tests, including D3. It is very cheap and easy to attain. The value I see here is not just for the risk of overdosing, but also for some people that have a hard time absorbing vitamin D3 from the G.I. tract to see if they get inappropriate amounts.

I am a senior who has been taking 3000 IU of D3 for decades. I am *never* sick with a virus,and can't remember the last time I was. I lately have begun taking zinc and magnesium supplements as well,and will have to up my intake of food sources of vitamin K. Interestingly,I recently got a shot for flu,and they gave me the strong version,which laid me low with chills for the night,but the next day I was back to normal.
That’s great! I’m happy your immune system is working so well. When it comes to vitamin K, make sure the foods you’re taking or the supplement contains K2 (K2MK7).

I was supposedly diagnosed with breast cancer in Jan 2020. I refused radiation and chemo because certain events seemed to be a hoax. I did have a lumpectomy. Oncologist do test me for Vit D levels, I take 5000iu daily, avoid sugar, wheat, grains and alcohol. I also take CBD'S. I'm beating the odds and going on 5 years. Possible health benefits of quercetin include: fighting free radicals. reducing inflammation. reducing cancer risk. reducing the risk of neurological diseases. relieving allergies. reducing the risk of infections. reducing the risk of heart disease. lowering blood pressure.
You always have the right to a copy of your labs or any other medical record. Many physician offices try to give you the runaround here, but this is not correct.

Yes, I have a friend who lives in Toronto. The winters can be very long and offer Very little UV radiation. Vitamin D supplementation together with K2, zinc, and magnesium are very important there.
Good overview so I subscribed. FYI, many if not all medical insurance plans will not pay for a vitamin D level. Mine cost me $180. After a year of taking 10,000 units of Vitamin D3 plus 100 mics of K2 daily, my serum vitamin D level was 110 ng/ml. I'm happy with that.

There are centenarians with Vitamin D levels between 15-25 ng/mL and they are still walking and talking. Trump in his 2018 white house health report had a level of 20 ng/mL and Kamala Harris a level of 22 and the doctors said both are good. Too much synthetic Vitamin D is bad news for your arteries. Cholecalciferol is the synthetic Vitamin D they put in pills which is the main ingredient in d-CON rat poison. Dr. Fred Kummerow who lived to age 102 never took any synthetic vitamins or supplements for evidence based reasons. He had a Ph.D in food chemistry.
Used to work for an IT help desk - office had no windows and lots of fluorescent lights. Barely got outside during the course of the day. After 2 months working the job, I would go home absolutely exhausted with no energy for my workouts. I’d go home, go to bed and collapse for a few hours and crawl out of bed to eat dinner. My family said I looked like death and I should get bloodwork done. Turns out I was below half the normal level for vitamin d…severely deficient. I had also gotten very sick with the flu during this time. Doc put me on 10,000 IUs of D3 for 3 months and then told me to cut back to 5,000 IUs daily for maintenance. I started feeling better almost immediately.
The standard blood test used in the UK only usually measures the inactive form of Vit D and even if this test showed good levels of Vit D by reference to what is recognised as "recommended" or " normal" levels it is still a very inaccurate indicator of Vit D levels. Also at the cellular level it does not make any allowance for Vitamin D resistance(VDR). The only way to accurately test is by measurement of the Parathyroid hormone test(PTH)
In the US: Vitamin D3 in the blood is measured by a blood test that measures the amount of 25-hydroxyvitamin D, a form of vitamin D, in nanomoles per liter (nmol/L) or nanograms per milliliter (ng/mL):

The active form is 1.25 (OH)2D3 calcitriol whose effectivity can be assessed,as I have indicated, by measuring the PTH. It is important to make sure first that the PTH glands are working normally. In Europe in some hospitals intravenous injections of calcitriol were given to Covid patients in intensive care and in those cases no deaths were recorded!!! In UK this treatment was not used. In places, I think Spain and Portugal, calcitriol is available in tablet form over the counter but not available in UK. I don't know about the US?
You don't need to take tests ,if you can get plenty of sunshine ,or if not take at least 10 tablets a day supplements , together with Magnesium,Zinc ,and K2

But, just HOW is it possible that so many GPs and doctors out there are so lacking in COMMONSENSE ? In so many cases the man in the street seems to have more idea, when can a doctor genuinely call him or herself A DOCTOR ?
As physicians, we are very educated about pharmaceutical compounds to treat illness. We are often overseeing the fact that food and supplements can be just as valuable if not more for overall health.
Be careful, GPs are not experts for all diseases, they will refer you to an oncologist but will not treat your cancer. Even your oncologist won’t treat your multiple sclerosis, etc… After watching this video, I made some research and found a study report about vit D by the Vaud university hospital center (Switzerland). They DO talk about cancer prevention and other diseases prevention linked to vitamin D. So, experts DO know.
Its ok to take together vitamin D with K2, however magnesium doesn't go well with K2 , so its best take magnesium at a different time of the day like evenings . Something most are not aware of.
Chelated Magnesium Glycinate is an essential Co-Factor with Vitamin D3, K2 and Chelated Zinc. D needs Magnesium to help it help you and Magnesium needs Vitamin D3 same reason. Most people take them all at the same time with a meal as both D3 and K2 are fat soluble. Yes, if you are older, be careful of higher Calcium levels, Hypercalcemia is a horrible issue to deal with and does a lot of damage if left unchecked.
@@mariapursel2098 That’s incorrect. It’s optimal to take them together. K2 is what keeps the D3 from elevating your calcium. Many D3 supplements also include K2 in them.
Studies have shown that you should take magnesium at a different time of the day than D3 and K2. Taking magnesium in the evening may help with sleep. You should consider taking D3, K2, Calcium, and Boron together.
The vitamin D I take with K2 actually has some magnesium in it I heard the opposite you should be taking vitamin D,-K2 with magnesium because it helps absorb the vitamin D better
Vitamin D3 and Magnesium taken together could also significantly increase Mg levels leading to potenial kidney damage for those with reduced kidney function.@elainelaguna3132
A lot of doctors don't you're lucky if you find a doctor that does three years I asked my doctor to check my vitamin D level they just sort of laughed at me and then a year ago my new doctor checked it and I had lost a lot of weight and been taking vitamin D not crazy amounts but like 5000 I use a day and I had a really good blood level but it took years for me to get a doctor and check it
Been taking k2 7 vitamin D and for four years , since beginning of Covid. I was getting pneumonia twice a year before this . I am 74 and not one cold or bout in the past four years.
Doctor I need your help with certain advice due to oral cancer that spread now even the neck can't move. Doctors here in Serbia didn't have anything particular to say about it. Do you have any advice? Like which supplements should a person take etc. Aside from therapy that wasn't working obviously There's also tons of mucus forming in those places and face that can't be tossed out normally...
I was so weary and exhausted about 13 years ago that I could barely function in my day to day. After blood test the specialist I went to found my vitamin D level was extremely low. She immediately recommended high levels of vitamin D. It changed my life!!!! I will NEVER stop taking it!!!!
This is something I see in most of my patients as well. Unless they supplement, levels are very low and often associated with a host of chronic health problems.
I’ve actually experimented with high dosages of D3/K2 and was taking 100,000 IU per day for 6 months and nothing happened to me. Had metabolic testing and of course the vitamin D level was high & the freaked out that it was bad but could not articulate what would happen to me if it continued. If cut back to 30,000 IU for now until it starts to get cold again. I did this after reading the book “Miraculous Benefits of Vitamin D3” by Jeff Bowles.

During the PANDEMIC WHILE UNDER chemotherapy . I was on vitamin D3 and a med against shingles as a pre caution.. . I was never vaccinated and never got COVID.

I did have pneumonia.I am in remission of my LYMPHOMA and breast cancer not related.NO VACCINATION FOR ME. If I did have covid I have antibodies. I really feel sorry for the people who suffered and are suffering.That was a test of getting people to agree to anything because of instilled fear.

I'm a 65 year old male in Canada so I don't get much sunshine especially in the winter. I had a major stroke in August of 2021. Also diagnosed with Atrial Fibulation at the time. Now I also have been diagnosed with Periferal Edema so taking water pills for that. Other meds I'm taking are Apo-Apixaban 5mg twice daily and Apo-Metoprolol 50mg twice daily. The doctor advised me to stop taking K2. I'm only taking 1000 UI of D3 and 50mg of zinc per day. Also taking Potassium, Vit. B6 and B12, Selenium, And Magnesium 500mg to 750mg per day to prevent leg cramps while sleeping. Doctor Kuehne would you be able to advise me on meds and amounts of vitamins and supplements I should be taking, and possibly directing me to the best websites/videos/books to help prevent another stroke and increase my chances of staying healthy? You have to stop taking unnecessary prescriptions and get your vitamin d and potassium tested. FIRST THOUGH, You have to research like a doctor, then consult with your doctor on probably stopping some of prescriptions and getting GOOD whole foods. Nobody here can give you specifics on meds. But from my own personal experience, low potassium CAUSES heart rhythm issues like a-fib. So you may not need meds, just nutrients. It's up to you to research your issues, find a competent doctor, and find what keeps you healthy. Good luck

I would run any dietary change by your treating physician. Sometimes physicians mix up K-1, which is involved in clotting and K2, which is not involved in blood clotting. K2 and D3 are very important for proper cellular function.

I am very lucky to be living on a beautiful coast right on the Mediterranean where we get 300 days of sunshine all year around .. On top of getting my daily dosage of Vitamin D I also quit alcohol last year and started doing OMAD .. One year fast-forward at age 47 I have never felt better and healthier ..!
This might be surprising to you, but Florida has a lot of people who are vitamin D deficient. The key here is that you need to spend at least 30 minutes daily in the sun in your underwear to have adequate levels of vitamin D. Anything below that and you’re at risk of deficiency.
I started 40,000 d3 plus k2 3 years ago when my husband retired for RA. I've never taken anything else since. I took meds for it for 20 years, not anymore.
I've just had it checked this week. It was 150 but I've never had any problems with taking that amount. Of course my doctor says its a toxic level, but I know what it's doing for me and I know medical doctors doesn't know or aren't allowed to go outside of what they are told.
I was deficient in vitamin D for years and had finger eczema in my hand and a fungus in my foot. By taking vitamin D only symptoms disappeared. Especially for my foot fungus I had to fight it for two months per year with some antifungal medicine. With vitamin D I had symptoms only for a couple of days.
I have also been taking Vit D for a number of years and live in Scotland We often hear about the benefits of eating a Mediterranean diet but if you look at what they actually eat, they also consume lots of high fat foods (lots of pork, cheese, yoghurt etc) What they do benefit from is lots of sunshine, and hence natural Vit D production which we in Northern Europe don't receive
Telling everyone to stay out of the Sun surely hasn't helped with Vitamin D deficiency. I worked outside for Forty yrs and worked with hundreds of others. I only know of 1 person with any cancer to do with the skin. Get out in the Sun and help yourself to live a happier life.
I think I saw something recently that claimed most skin cancer's are in areas usually covered by clothing. My personal experience has been different, as all six of the people I know who had skin cancer, 100% were in areas unprotected from the sun. That said, I agree with you, get outside, soak up the air and the sun, and you'll have a happier life.
Yes, sunlight is the best way to make vitamin D in the skin. If you live in the northern hemisphere though, the winter sun is not sufficient to trigger the production of vitamin D in any appreciable amount. Supplementing at least during that time may be a good idea.
Dr. Fred Kummerow who lived to age 102 never took any synthetic vitamins or supplements for evidence based reasons. He had a Ph.D in food chemistry and was Professor of food science and he said too much Vitamin D is bad news for your arteries.
Vitamin D3 increases the reabsorption of calcium in your digestive tract. If you do not take it together with vitamin K2, a lot of the calcium may go to your arteries contributing to conditions like atherosclerosis. Taking vitamin D with K2 helps to prevent this.

Twin of my specialists do not agree on where level of Vit D on labs should be - one says middle of “normal range is fine” and another says to target the upper range. Thoughts?
Get your level tested and then decide. Years ago mine was at the very low end of "normal" and I started taking 5000IU per day and now I am close to 10000IU per day
@@eezy251able Adults should take at least 4000 iu a day, and more if you are heavier. The vitamin D level is crucial. Please also remember the cofactors magnesium and vitamin K2. If you have a large vitamin d deficiency, a short-term high dosage makes sense, e.g. 20 to 30,000 iu daily for two weeks, followed by a lower permanent dosage.
This is certainly not medical advice but I take between 5000 and 10,000 IU D3 with 100 MCG K2. Officially I have to tell you to discuss the proper dosing with your primary care physician.
Thanks for the reminder. I do take Vit D, unidose once monthly. Way easier than every day. It there a difference between D1, D2, D3? And which? My doctors are against giving K2. In Europe they don't want to combine the 2 two vits. Because it seems to fluidify the blood too much, and thus can have bad incidents. Can you explain more about this? Thanks.
Too many of our doctors belive the disinformation spread by our "authorities", such as totally inadequate RDA levels. They have to fix that first, before they can start to learn these things. There's no chance to get this right until enough serious research have been done, and no one does that on vitamin D nowadays. I used to listen to real experts, such as Robert Heaney, but those are dying off and we get no new ones!
You should consider creating D3 from sunlight rather than a pill if possible. This D3 will be sulfated and make it more efficient since it becomes water soluble. Same with cholesterol. This too will be sulphated and actually reduce the requirement for ldl. So in effect the concentration of D3 in your blood can be lower if created from the sun, but be better.
Sunlight is great in stimulating vitamin D production in the skin. However, if you live in the northern hemisphere during the winter months, this production is minimal at best.

Possibly a stupid question: if calcium is the main risk of too much vitamin D (hypercalcemia) why not measure calcium blood levels to ensure that there the person doesn't take too much vit D, or not enough K2, Mg and Zn?
This ^ indeed. A calcium- in-serum test costs pennies, a Calcidiol(Vit-D)-in-serum test costs 25-30 Euros (in Germany). You could also test for parathormon. High PTH and low calcium indicate a vitamin D deficiency. If your calcium is is normal and you have low or not elevated PTH your Viamin-D intake may or may not be sufficient - but it is at least NOT TOO HIGH. Its also good to know the human body makes around 20,000 IU of Vitamin D from sunlight per day (and within 20-60 minutes in case of variations of white skin) if sun is available at the needed UV-level of higher than UV-index 3 (4 and upwards, that is), after the limit has been reached the conversion rate dramatically drops. So, in the absence of sunlight taking 20,000 IE of vitamin D per day most likely is safe if you have no other existing health conditions contradicting it. However, take cofactors Vitamin K2MK7 and plenty of Magnesium as well. Toxic dose for K2 was looked for, but was not found and is not known, ther eis one, no doubt, but it must be damn hiogh . Magnesium gets consumed aplenty when activating Vitamin D from your reserves, so you need plenty of it, and you need the more of it the higher your vitamin D consumption is. You can get magnesium-deficient if taking too little magnesium but high doses of vitamin D, and then get symptoms of magnesium deficits! K2 should be MK7, Magnesium at least should not be Mg-oxide, but other forms of Magnesium. I know this stuff, but I am no doctor, so i do not tell anyone what he should do and take. I only say what I do, within my own self-responsibility: I take 20,000 IE Vit D, 3000 mg K2 MK7, 4500mg of Magensium in five different formulas, split on three times per day. Since many years, since before Covid 19 arrived. No digestive problems with the Magnesium this way: zero, none. Have not even had a single flu since I started, never got ill at all, since many years. Before I started to supplement this and some more: I caught a cold every 6 weeks, a feverish infection once or twice per year, and soem other issues. All health issues are blown away. Last blood test had Calcidiol at 88 ng/mol. Have no intention to change anything. I am male, 57 years, BMI slightly too high according to theory, 25.2. Note, some products combine Vit D and K2 in one pill. That usually means 150-200 mcgr of K2, no matter how much vit D is dosed in that pill. That is WAY TOO LITTLE! Get a separate K2 pill and then think not in micrograms but high milligrams or low grams ranges. Again: its very, very unlikely you can do harm there. The risk of doing harm if not taking enough K2 while tkaing high levels of vitamin D imho is decisively greater. I attribute my health mostly to the high vitamin D consumption and the fact that my diet is carnivore and carbohydrate-avoiding (lost 17 kg of overweight, gained 5 kg, and then turned stable at that level), however, i also consume - amongst other supplements - 3000 mg of liposomal vitamin C per day, and literature makes me strongly assume that this vitamine also plays a very dominant role. Every body's metabolism is slightly different, varies in nuances, so a dose of something that is perfect for one person must not be the same that is perfect for somebody else, while the basic rules of our biochemical nature remain unchanged for all humans. Get informed a bit and offside the mainstream medicine, dont trust the mainstream media, and then use your brain.
I live in the US, don't know about you, but here, calcium is measured in routine basic metabolic profile (BMP) labs as part of a regular annual or semiannual wellness checkup. I have my results going back for years. I actually have to request D3 tests, though, as it's not routine.
My Vit D level was low so I did some research and took 5000 IU D3 softgels + 100mg K2 + 800mg Magnesium citrate.... every day for 6 months. My Vit D level ended up at 122 & I felt way better overall. The Magnesium felt great too. That was last May, today my Vit D is back to 77 which isn't too bad but I'm start back again, maybe for 3 months this time. Also I understand that also testosterone is important to monitor when one is in the cancer zone.
I'm thinking you meant 100 mcg of K2 not mg? 100 mg of k2 is a LOT of K2..When I got my level up in the mid 80's from the low teens, I continued to take a maintenance dose...same dose, but 5 times a week vs 7...you might consider doing a maintenance dose vs stopping completely.

Yes, as doses of D3 increase, vitamin K2 should increase as well. This is not medical advice, but I am currently taking between 5000 and 10,000 IU vitamin D3 with 400 MCG K2.

Definitely recommend including the Physics if you can. Two reasons. Many things about the human body are mechanical in nature, and hospitals these days use zillions of kinds of gadgets. A huge proportion of medical errors are due to medical people making very basic miscalculations that any physicist or car mechanic or engineer would have had no problem with.
This depends on which country you are in. In the US, you have to take one year of physics in your undergraduate studies. You don’t need to have it in high school. You also need one year of inorganic chemistry, one year organic chemistry, one year biology and one year college level math. After that, you take the MCAT. If you live in a different country, you need to check what requirements you have to go to medical school, as in the US you have to do an undergraduate degree first.

Magnesium, especially glycinate, has a relaxing effect, so it is well suited for use in the evening. Otherwise, it is recommended not to take all of the magnesium at once, but to spread it out a little over the course of the day, because large amounts of magnesium cannot be completely absorbed by the body. For example, I take citrate and glycinate alternately (approx. 120-150 mg per portion, 2-4 times a day). Zinc should be taken "alone", i.e. at a distance from food and other preparations, about 1 hour before or after. Otherwise the effect is limited.
But it appears most all of the general public don't know about it's full benefits for the immune system, along with other beneficial uses in the body, (and get their levels checked regularly)! AND many doctors, whether they are fully aware of it's benefits or not, do not test it's levels in their patients, or just assume they get "enough". So regardless of what was known of the benefits of D3 "since the 50's", it's absolutely critical necessity for the human body's immune system was mostly ignored or trivialized, otherwise people's immune health would have not been spiraling downward since modern times, due to little time spent outdoors, and poor quality food!

I am 73, female living in Scotland and I take D3, K2, Zinc, Magnesium since before covid. Never had covid despite looking after my sister. She is frightened to take d3 etc, as she had her thyroid removed some 10 years ago and during the op her parathyroid was damaged so she now has to take a raft of medication daily. Would she be able to add d3 etc safely? She is 70 and in reasonably good health, walks lots, goes to the gym regularly.
I would recommend to check with her endocrinologist, but generally vitamin D3 + K2 is recommended. From NIH: The results of this study support a change in clinical practice and suggest that all patients undergoing thyroidectomy should be discharged with continued calcium and/or vitamin D supplementation for 1-2 weeks.
What issues? I was taking 10k for quite awhile. The corners of my mouth and chin were breaking out. After wracking my brain on the cause I read that too much Vit D could cause that particular skin break out. I still have 10k caps so have started Monday Wed and Fri to try to get the break outs under control.
Too high levels can actually be dangerous, it isn't the higher the better, well it is only to a certain limit. If you were getting break outs, could your level be too high? It's always best to test because the dose that's good for one person doesn't always work for another as we all have different base levels and absorb it differently too
It is interesting how for some people this dose is not problematic and for others it causes issues. Did you check your blood vitamin D level at any point?

I was not familiar with this protocol, but it seems to require a very high dose of vitamin D3. It is mostly used in conditions like auto immune disorders. I would have to do more reading to really get a better grasp on this topic. Having practiced general dentistry for 45 years, I have always been very conservative and honest with my patients. That said, a dental prophylaxis or cleaning is TREATMENT defined as the removal of hardened plaque and other tooth accumulated debris at or above the gum line in the absence of periodontal disease (the inflammation of the connective tissue and bone due to subgingival calculus and endotoxins on the root surface). To the patient, this is rarely symptomatic but can result in loss of the supporting structures and the tooth itself. It is diagnosed by a set of dental radiographs and a full mouth measuring of the gum pockets around all erupted teeth. Are you advocating that DOCTORS of DENTAL SURGERY perform a treatment (cleaning) based upon a patient's demand, and not review the medical history, oral cancer exam, tooth and gum evaluation and without consulting radiographs? Dentists have been successfully sued for acquiescing to what you are advising when there was underlying decay or periodontal disease which resulted in serious infection and tooth loss. As a physician, would you allow a new patient to dictate treatment without your thorough diagnosis based upon your examination and recommended tests and imaging? Of course, I am against excessive radiography, but I would never jeopardize my good name and career because I allowed a patient to demand I violate the standards of care!
I am not sure you are referring to the correct video here. I am very much in favor of preventive dental care and teeth exam and cleaning. I highly value the diagnostic evaluation of dentists in the oral area. X-rays are usually minimal radiation exposure due to the small area examined. So again I’m not sure you’re referring to the Correct video here.

It was meant for Dr Suneel Dhand's video warning new patients to avoid a full exam with x-rays by a dentist and demand that only a cleaning was necessary. I have profound respect for Dr. Campbell, his guest and your channel for highlighting the need for strong blood levels of Vit D. During Covid-19, I advised my patients to get their levels tested and supplement when appropriate to reduce their chances of getting infected. I was amazed how few PMD's were putting emphasis on this simple, inexpensive and safe therapy. Again, my apologies for the first posting.
I live in a sunny region but I use sunscreen and don’t tan outside. I now take 6000 iu Vitamin D and in the evening 120 mg magnesium, mix of citrate, glycinate and malate. My energy is much better the next day and fatigue has decreased. My blood work for vit D increased from borderline range, near insufficient with former 2000 IU vit D intake to midrange level with the 6000 IU intake. One might take a recommended level vit D but it may not be enough. Each body is different.
My friend takes a blood thinner and vitamin D but is not keen on taking vitamin K2 as he was warned it can interfere with the working of the blood thinners.
Vitamin K2 has very minimal effect here. Vitamin K1, which is very different from K2, is increasing blood clotting as it is a cofactor in clotting factor production.
This is definitely a question for your treating physician. Vitamin K2 is different from vitamin K1, which is the vitamin associated with blood clotting. Vitamin K2 should not have that effect on blood clotting. Clopidogrel is often given after a stroke or heart attack to prevent blood clot formation.
I had a lot of trouble with restless legs syndrome for decades. Started taking D3 at the beginning of the pandemic and my restless legs are a distant memory.

The Ability of the skin to produce vitamin D3 decreases with age. Supplementation, especially in the winter months in the northern hemisphere, is important.
Isn't there potential issues with taking too much zinc consistently, ..I have 30mg capsules picolinate zinc, but I also take the multi vitamin capsules from brand 'Feel', which also contains some, any more is good old fashion diet.
Zinc does not really get stored in the body and needs to be consumed daily. You can, of course as with any metal overdose on it, but at those concentrations less likely.
The Japanese health authorities were recommending vitamin D supplements during covid because they were aware of the advantages, western health authorities were also aware of the advantages but did not even mention it. Anything that might affect the massive profits that the pharmaceutical companies were making was censored.
I did some UA-cam content early during the pandemic about vitamin D3 that was flagged. Even as a physician, I was not allowed to suggest anything, but the government read commended therapies.

I had a horrible response to covid due to taking PPIs than tanked my magnesium & landed me in the ER needing an infusion.
A month later I caught the alpha strain & I was about 3 days from going to the hospital for breathing issues - I could literally feel my lungs filling with fluid, but it finally subsided & I've had long covid lung & hearth issues since then (thich mucus mostly).
I was taking D3-K2 (1000 IU/45 mcg) daily anyway. I haven't had covid since then, despite being in & out of doctor's offices & hospitals for GERD appointments & eventual surgery. Other than a multivitamin ever 3 days & the D3-K2 daily & magnesium & Iron once every 2 weeks or so & a pinch of moringa leaves every few days, that's all I take.

I have multiple sclerosis and the vitamin d is the only way I am walking. I tried ms medication for 1 year only and took nearly 4 years to get rid of side effects.
I have blood tests every month to make sure my vitamin D hasn’t dropped under a 100. I also take B12, zinc, magnesium.

It's no longer a matter of educating your uninformed/resistant doctor, it's a matter of educating yourself and steering your medical treatment. While this is hard as it is time consuming to do, and a mental adjustment to the traditional culture of approaching healthcare by letting the doctor be the expert, we are being left with no other choice.

I have a history of recurrent upper respiratory infection in the past and TB. The infectious doctor at health department suspected that I had a low vitamin D. I asked my PCP to check my vitamin D level, she was in doubt. The lab test result showed my vitamin D level was low. I have been talking vitamin D supplements since, I have never been sick with flus or covid . It’s been 7 years.

My son had hand tremors and we just found out he was very low in D3 (17). His internist told him to take 1,000 D3 per day, wrong. I started him on 10,000 D3 per day with K2 and magnesium for two weeks, then 5,000 D3 per day with K2 and magnesium which he is currently taking. My son works from home and never gets sun. His hand tremors stopped since increasing D3 per day.

Yes I also had hand tremors that everyone noticed and then I saw my Vitamin D was low….like it was 30 at one time. I take 5,000 D3 everyday with the K2.
I did similar for myself to get my D out of the teens...In addition to the D3/K2 mk7 and magnesium I also drink 3 glasses of milk a day for the calcium (calcium supplements end up in the wrong places) I got my D3 which was in the teens, had been for over a decade, up to 82 in 2.5 months..and no thanks to any doctor..I had to figure it out myself.

I learned to do this and not combine them so they work better together when spaced apart. I never take the D3 and K2 combos. The dosages are never what right for me anyways.
That is the info I gathered. I also get my Vitamin C from natural sources veggies and fruit like lemons and limes etc in my smoothie and not a supplement.
I have a family history of colon cancer as well as personally having had previous precancerous polyps and colonoscopies every 2-3 years ever since I started in my 50’s; I’m 64 now. Shortly before lockdown in 2020, a colonoscopy revealed a cancerous polyp. It was removed successfully. I have taken 2,000 iu of D3 for over 20 years but, since COVID, I increased that to 5,000. My last colonoscopy in March of this year revealed no polyps whatsoever. The FIRST TIME I have ever had that result. The evidence may be anecdotal but it speaks volumes to me.

An increase of D3 can do wonders... I had a Psoriasis rash on my leg for almoste 30 years and have been taking D3 for many years. A low dose of perhaps 500 IU. But some five or six years ago I increased to dose to first 12.000 IU and after a few months stopped at about 8.000 IU. In just three months the rash was gone and the skin healed ever so slowly over half a year. And later during Covid, I was exposed to people who were sick but never got more than a slight cold with a runny nose and all test results were negative. So if anything, the D3 is a miracle cure, but of course need K2 (mk7), Magnesium etc to not get other symptoms.

Yes, in the northern countries it is very difficult to get sufficient vitamin D from sunlight. We are also not eating the foods anymore that are rich in D3. vitamin D Supplementation is essential there. I’m happy you guys are healthier now that you have moved to a warmer climate.

I’m 73. Suffered from regular migraines and cluster headaches my whole life until….. I started yearly check ups and blood tests around 60 and found vitamin D was low. Dr put me on 50,000 IU D3 per week (Calciferol) about a year or so later I realised I hadn’t had a single headache in a long time. Now 13 years later and I still never get headaches, no colds and no Covid either.

Hi all. Diagnosed with aggressive soft tissue sarcomas 20 months ago started taking 50000 of Vit d +k2 daily. It acts as a glutamine uptake inhibitor in cancer cells. Not had any side effects from 50000 daily. It works.

It's interesting to hear the relationship between improved cancer outcomes and Vitamin D. Higher levels of aerobic fitness have been associated with improved cancer outcomes, and higher levels of aerobic fitness have also been positively correlated with levels of Vitamin D in the human body.
Higher aerobic fitness has essentially nothing to do with a good vitamin D level.
Yes, and this makes a lot of sense as aerobic fitness will increase micro circulation, allowing white blood cells to travel further into areas where they can actively fight cancer cells. Just like with adequate supply of vitamin D3, improving immune function is extremely important and often overlooked.

My low vit d level was found after a routine blood test, which is repeated annually. A rheumatoid consultant requested all GPS in his area to offer the test. So not highly unlikely. I take 5000 i.u. Daily

Unfortunately here in East Yorkshire, even if the patient (me) gets the GP to request it among a set of blood tests the labs are bound by the ruling of the Clinical Commission Group to refuse to it, apart from exceptional circumstances, which would probably see a patient in hospital in any case. Only EY hospitals can request and get a test done. Twice a year I now buy my own blood tests that the NHS refuse to do.

In the US there are several companies offering online scripts for a variety of blood tests, including D3. It is very cheap and easy to attain. The value I see here is not just for the risk of overdosing, but also for some people that have a hard time absorbing vitamin D3 from the G.I. tract to see if they get inappropriate amounts.

I am a senior who has been taking 3000 IU of D3 for decades. I am *never* sick with a virus,and can't remember the last time I was. I lately have begun taking zinc and magnesium supplements as well,and will have to up my intake of food sources of vitamin K. Interestingly,I recently got a shot for flu,and they gave me the strong version,which laid me low with chills for the night,but the next day I was back to normal.

We have zero vitamin d from sunlight for about 10 months a year where I live in Canada. The shoulder seasons are very cloudy every day.
Yes, I have a friend who lives in Toronto. The winters can be very long and offer Very little UV radiation. Vitamin D supplementation together with K2, zinc, and magnesium are very important there.
I still had normal levels in spring from the previous spring summer months

Good overview so I subscribed. FYI, many if not all medical insurance plans will not pay for a vitamin D level. Mine cost me $180. After a year of taking 10,000 units of Vitamin D3 plus 100 mics of K2 daily, my serum vitamin D level was 110 ng/ml. I'm happy with that.

I agree with you that being slightly above the reference that range is OK as long as you do not have any negative symptoms. I’m glad you’re taking it together with K2. There are centenarians with Vitamin D levels between 15-25 ng/mL and they are still walking and talking. Trump in his 2018 white house health report had a level of 20 ng/mL and Kamala Harris a level of 22 and the doctors said both are good. Too much synthetic Vitamin D is bad news for your arteries. Cholecalciferol is the synthetic Vitamin D they put in pills which is the main ingredient in d-CON rat poison. Dr. Fred Kummerow who lived to age 102 never took any synthetic vitamins or supplements for evidence based reasons. He had a Ph.D in food chemistry.

Used to work for an IT help desk - office had no windows and lots of fluorescent lights. Barely got outside during the course of the day. After 2 months working the job, I would go home absolutely exhausted with no energy for my workouts. I’d go home, go to bed and collapse for a few hours and crawl out of bed to eat dinner. My family said I looked like death and I should get bloodwork done.
Turns out I was below half the normal level for vitamin d…severely deficient. I had also gotten very sick with the flu during this time. Doc put me on 10,000 IUs of D3 for 3 months and then told me to cut back to 5,000 IUs daily for maintenance. I started feeling better almost immediately.

The standard blood test used in the UK only usually measures the inactive form of Vit D and even if this test showed good levels of Vit D by reference to what is recognised as "recommended" or " normal" levels it is still a very inaccurate indicator of Vit D levels. Also at the cellular level it does not make any allowance for Vitamin D resistance(VDR). The only way to accurately test is by measurement of the Parathyroid hormone test(PTH)
In the US:
Vitamin D3 in the blood is measured by a blood test that measures the amount of 25-hydroxyvitamin D, a form of vitamin D, in nanomoles per liter (nmol/L) or nanograms per milliliter (ng/mL):

The active form is 1.25 (OH)2D3 calcitriol whose effectivity can be assessed,as I have indicated, by measuring the PTH. It is important to make sure first that the PTH glands are working normally. In Europe in some hospitals intravenous injections of calcitriol were given to Covid patients in intensive care and in those cases no deaths were recorded!!! In UK this treatment was not used. In places, I think Spain and Portugal, calcitriol is available in tablet form over the counter but not available in UK. I don't know about the US?
You don't need to take tests ,if you can get plenty of sunshine ,or if not take at least 10 tablets a day supplements , together with Magnesium,Zinc ,and K2

Be careful, GPs are not experts for all diseases, they will refer you to an oncologist but will not treat your cancer. Even your oncologist won’t treat your multiple sclerosis, etc…
After watching this video, I made some research and found a study report about vit D by the Vaud university hospital center (Switzerland). They DO talk about cancer prevention and other diseases prevention linked to vitamin D. So, experts DO know.
Its ok to take together vitamin D with K2, however magnesium doesn't go well with K2 , so its best take magnesium at a different time of the day like evenings . Something most are not aware of.

Taking magnesium bisglycinate since it's supposed to be better absorbed and tolerated.
You should take Vit D3 and Vit Mk7 at separate times because it elevated your calcium level which as we get older can cause issues.
Chelated Magnesium Glycinate is an essential Co-Factor with Vitamin D3, K2 and Chelated Zinc. D needs Magnesium to help it help you and Magnesium needs Vitamin D3 same reason. Most people take them all at the same time with a meal as both D3 and K2 are fat soluble. Yes, if you are older, be careful of higher Calcium levels, Hypercalcemia is a horrible issue to deal with and does a lot of damage if left unchecked.
@@mariapursel2098 That’s incorrect. It’s optimal to take them together. K2 is what keeps the D3 from elevating your calcium. Many D3 supplements also include K2 in them.
Studies have shown that you should take magnesium at a different time of the day than D3 and K2. Taking magnesium in the evening may help with sleep. You should consider taking D3, K2, Calcium, and Boron together.

The vitamin D I take with K2 actually has some magnesium in it I heard the opposite you should be taking vitamin D,-K2 with magnesium because it helps absorb the vitamin D better

A lot of doctors don't you're lucky if you find a doctor that does three years I asked my doctor to check my vitamin D level they just sort of laughed at me and then a year ago my new doctor checked it and I had lost a lot of weight and been taking vitamin D not crazy amounts but like 5000 I use a day and I had a really good blood level but it took years for me to get a doctor and check it

I was so weary and exhausted about 13 years ago that I could barely function in my day to day. After blood test the specialist I went to found my vitamin D level was extremely low. She immediately recommended high levels of vitamin D. It changed my life!!!! I will NEVER stop taking it!!!!
This is something I see in most of my patients as well. Unless they supplement, levels are very low and often associated with a host of chronic health problems.
I’ve actually experimented with high dosages of D3/K2 and was taking 100,000 IU per day for 6 months and nothing happened to me. Had metabolic testing and of course the vitamin D level was high & the freaked out that it was bad but could not articulate what would happen to me if it continued. If cut back to 30,000 IU for now until it starts to get cold again. I did this after reading the book “Miraculous Benefits of Vitamin D3” by Jeff Bowles.
It’s interesting how different people have different tolerances for vitamin D3, especially if you take it together with K2, zinc and magnesium.

Vitamin D and K2 after a fatty meal, magnesium in smaller doses throughout the day, zinc on its own at intervals of one hour before or after a meal and tablets.

I'm a 65 year old male in Canada so I don't get much sunshine especially in the winter. I had a major stroke in August of 2021. Also diagnosed with Atrial Fibulation at the time. Now I also have been diagnosed with Periferal Edema so taking water pills for that. Other meds I'm taking are Apo-Apixaban 5mg twice daily and Apo-Metoprolol 50mg twice daily. The doctor advised me to stop taking K2. I'm only taking 1000 UI of D3 and 50mg of zinc per day. Also taking Potassium, Vit. B6 and B12, Selenium, And Magnesium 500mg to 750mg per day to prevent leg cramps while sleeping. Doctor Kuehne would you be able to advise me on meds and amounts of vitamins and supplements I should be taking, and possibly directing me to the best websites/videos/books to help prevent another stroke and increase my chances of staying healthy? You have to stop taking unnecessary prescriptions and get your vitamin d and potassium tested. FIRST THOUGH, You have to research like a doctor, then consult with your doctor on probably stopping some of prescriptions and getting GOOD whole foods. Nobody here can give you specifics on meds.
But from my own personal experience, low potassium CAUSES heart rhythm issues like a-fib.
So you may not need meds, just nutrients.
It's up to you to research your issues, find a competent doctor, and find what keeps you healthy. Good luck

I would run any dietary change by your treating physician. Sometimes physicians mix up K-1, which is involved in clotting and K2, which is not involved in blood clotting. K2 and D3 are very important for proper cellular function.

This might be surprising to you, but Florida has a lot of people who are vitamin D deficient. The key here is that you need to spend at least 30 minutes daily in the sun in your underwear to have adequate levels of vitamin D. Anything below that and you’re at risk of deficiency.

Yes, liver pathology can certainly lead to decreased vitamin D absorption.
I was deficient in vitamin D for years and had finger eczema in my hand and a fungus in my foot. By taking vitamin D only symptoms disappeared. Especially for my foot fungus I had to fight it for two months per year with some antifungal medicine. With vitamin D I had symptoms only for a couple of days.

Telling everyone to stay out of the Sun surely hasn't helped with Vitamin D deficiency. I worked outside for Forty yrs and worked with hundreds of others. I only know of 1 person with any cancer to do with the skin.

I think I saw something recently that claimed most skin cancer's are in areas usually covered by clothing. My personal experience has been different, as all six of the people I know who had skin cancer, 100% were in areas unprotected from the sun. That said, I agree with you, get outside, soak up the air and the sun, and you'll have a happier life.
Yes, sunlight is the best way to make vitamin D in the skin. If you live in the northern hemisphere though, the winter sun is not sufficient to trigger the production of vitamin D in any appreciable amount. Supplementing at least during that time may be a good idea.

Dr. Fred Kummerow who lived to age 102 never took any synthetic vitamins or supplements for evidence based reasons. He had a Ph.D in food chemistry and was Professor of food science and he said too much Vitamin D is bad news for your arteries.
Vitamin D3 increases the reabsorption of calcium in your digestive tract. If you do not take it together with vitamin K2, a lot of the calcium may go to your arteries contributing to conditions like atherosclerosis. Taking vitamin D with K2 helps to prevent this.

Adults should take at least 4000 iu a day, and more if you are heavier. The vitamin D level is crucial. Please also remember the cofactors magnesium and vitamin K2.
If you have a large vitamin d deficiency, a short-term high dosage makes sense, e.g. 20 to 30,000 iu daily for two weeks, followed by a lower permanent dosage.

This is certainly not medical advice but I take between 5000 and 10,000 IU D3 with 100 MCG K2. Officially I have to tell you to discuss the proper dosing with your primary care physician.

D3 is the proper vitamin to use. Your doctor may confuse K1 and K2. K1 is involved in blood clotting. K2 is important in combination with D3.

There's no chance to get this right until enough serious research have been done, and no one does that on vitamin D nowadays.

You should consider creating D3 from sunlight rather than a pill if possible.
This D3 will be sulfated and make it more efficient since it becomes water soluble. Same with cholesterol. This too will be sulphated and actually reduce the requirement for ldl.
So in effect the concentration of D3 in your blood can be lower if created from the sun, but be better.
Sunlight is great in stimulating vitamin D production in the skin. However, if you live in the northern hemisphere during the winter months, this production is minimal at best.

Possibly a stupid question: if calcium is the main risk of too much vitamin D (hypercalcemia) why not measure calcium blood levels to ensure that there the person doesn't take too much vit D, or not enough K2, Mg and Zn?
This ^ indeed. A calcium- in-serum test costs pennies, a Calcidiol(Vit-D)-in-serum test costs 25-30 Euros (in Germany). You could also test for parathormon. High PTH and low calcium indicate a vitamin D deficiency. If your calcium is is normal and you have low or not elevated PTH your Viamin-D intake may or may not be sufficient - but it is at least NOT TOO HIGH.
Its also good to know the human body makes around 20,000 IU of Vitamin D from sunlight per day (and within 20-60 minutes in case of variations of white skin) if sun is available at the needed UV-level of higher than UV-index 3 (4 and upwards, that is), after the limit has been reached the conversion rate dramatically drops. So, in the absence of sunlight taking 20,000 IE of vitamin D per day most likely is safe if you have no other existing health conditions contradicting it. However, take cofactors Vitamin K2MK7 and plenty of Magnesium as well. Toxic dose for K2 was looked for, but was not found and is not known, ther eis one, no doubt, but it must be damn hiogh . Magnesium gets consumed aplenty when activating Vitamin D from your reserves, so you need plenty of it, and you need the more of it the higher your vitamin D consumption is. You can get magnesium-deficient if taking too little magnesium but high doses of vitamin D, and then get symptoms of magnesium deficits! K2 should be MK7, Magnesium at least should not be Mg-oxide, but other forms of Magnesium.
I know this stuff, but I am no doctor, so i do not tell anyone what he should do and take. I only say what I do, within my own self-responsibility: I take 20,000 IE Vit D, 3000 mg K2 MK7, 4500mg of Magensium in five different formulas, split on three times per day. Since many years, since before Covid 19 arrived. No digestive problems with the Magnesium this way: zero, none. Have not even had a single flu since I started, never got ill at all, since many years. Before I started to supplement this and some more: I caught a cold every 6 weeks, a feverish infection once or twice per year, and soem other issues. All health issues are blown away. Last blood test had Calcidiol at 88 ng/mol. Have no intention to change anything. I am male, 57 years, BMI slightly too high according to theory, 25.2.
Note, some products combine Vit D and K2 in one pill. That usually means 150-200 mcgr of K2, no matter how much vit D is dosed in that pill. That is WAY TOO LITTLE! Get a separate K2 pill and then think not in micrograms but high milligrams or low grams ranges. Again: its very, very unlikely you can do harm there. The risk of doing harm if not taking enough K2 while tkaing high levels of vitamin D imho is decisively greater.
I attribute my health mostly to the high vitamin D consumption and the fact that my diet is carnivore and carbohydrate-avoiding (lost 17 kg of overweight, gained 5 kg, and then turned stable at that level), however, i also consume - amongst other supplements - 3000 mg of liposomal vitamin C per day, and literature makes me strongly assume that this vitamine also plays a very dominant role. Every body's metabolism is slightly different, varies in nuances, so a dose of something that is perfect for one person must not be the same that is perfect for somebody else, while the basic rules of our biochemical nature remain unchanged for all humans. Get informed a bit and offside the mainstream medicine, dont trust the mainstream media, and then use your brain.
Actually, a very good question. Yes, getting a serum calcium and vitamin D3 level together is a very good strategy.
A well formulated formula would have D3 and K2 in every dose.
I live in the US, don't know about you, but here, calcium is measured in routine basic metabolic profile (BMP) labs as part of a regular annual or semiannual wellness checkup. I have my results going back for years. I actually have to request D3 tests, though, as it's not routine.

My Vit D level was low so I did some research and took 5000 IU D3 softgels + 100mg K2 + 800mg Magnesium citrate.... every day for 6 months. My Vit D level ended up at 122 & I felt way better overall. The Magnesium felt great too. That was last May, today my Vit D is back to 77 which isn't too bad but I'm start back again, maybe for 3 months this time. Also I understand that also testosterone is important to monitor when one is in the cancer zone.

I'm thinking you meant 100 mcg of K2 not mg? 100 mg of k2 is a LOT of K2..When I got my level up in the mid 80's from the low teens, I continued to take a maintenance dose...same dose, but 5 times a week vs 7...you might consider doing a maintenance dose vs stopping completely.

Definitely recommend including the Physics if you can. Two reasons. Many things about the human body are mechanical in nature, and hospitals these days use zillions of kinds of gadgets. A huge proportion of medical errors are due to medical people making very basic miscalculations that any physicist or car mechanic or engineer would have had no problem with.
This depends on which country you are in. In the US, you have to take one year of physics in your undergraduate studies. You don’t need to have it in high school. You also need one year of inorganic chemistry, one year organic chemistry, one year biology and one year college level math. After that, you take the MCAT. If you live in a different country, you need to check what requirements you have to go to medical school, as in the US you have to do an undergraduate degree first.

Taking magnesium and zinc in the evening is the better strategy. Magnesium can help with sleep. Seems like you are on a good schedule.
Magnesium, especially glycinate, has a relaxing effect, so it is well suited for use in the evening. Otherwise, it is recommended not to take all of the magnesium at once, but to spread it out a little over the course of the day, because large amounts of magnesium cannot be completely absorbed by the body. For example, I take citrate and glycinate alternately (approx. 120-150 mg per portion, 2-4 times a day).
Zinc should be taken "alone", i.e. at a distance from food and other preparations, about 1 hour before or after. Otherwise the effect is limited.

But it appears most all of the general public don't know about it's full benefits for the immune system, along with other beneficial uses in the body, (and get their levels checked regularly)!

I am 73, female living in Scotland and I take D3, K2, Zinc, Magnesium since before covid. Never had covid despite looking after my sister. She is frightened to take d3 etc, as she had her thyroid removed some 10 years ago and during the op her parathyroid was damaged so she now has to take a raft of medication daily. Would she be able to add d3 etc safely? She is 70 and in reasonably good health, walks lots, goes to the gym regularly.
I would recommend to check with her endocrinologist, but generally vitamin D3 + K2 is recommended. From NIH:

What issues? I was taking 10k for quite awhile. The corners of my mouth and chin were breaking out. After wracking my brain on the cause I read that too much Vit D could cause that particular skin break out. I still have 10k caps so have started Monday Wed and Fri to try to get the break outs under control.
Too high levels can actually be dangerous, it isn't the higher the better, well it is only to a certain limit. If you were getting break outs, could your level be too high? It's always best to test because the dose that's good for one person doesn't always work for another as we all have different base levels and absorb it differently too
It is interesting how for some people this dose is not problematic and for others it causes issues. Did you check your blood vitamin D level at any point?

Any research on Coimbra Protocol with Cancer?
I was not familiar with this protocol, but it seems to require a very high dose of vitamin D3. It is mostly used in conditions like auto immune disorders. I would have to do more reading to really get a better grasp on this topic. Found this on the net:
“Coimbra and co-workers, after two decades of clinical experience, state that the therapeutic approach of the protocol relies on doses of vitamin D that range from 40,000 IU to 300,000 IU per day [17,18]. The conventional starting dose in multiple sclerosis, for example, is approximately 1.000 IU vitamin D3 per kg body weight [19].
In Germany, this therapeutic protocol for autoimmune patients has been used since 2016 [20]. Underlying the CP is the hypothesis of the non-hereditary, but acquired form of vitamin D resistance and insufficient biological activity of 1,25(OH)2D3, which both may be overcome by high doses of vitamin D3, compensating the resistance. “
My concern here would be that those doses, even with low calcium consumption that could be a high risk of hypercalcemia in some people. This protocol should be used together with frequent lab work under the supervision of a physician in my opinion.

Having practiced general dentistry for 45 years, I have always been very conservative and honest with my patients. That said, a dental prophylaxis or cleaning is TREATMENT defined as the removal of hardened plaque and other tooth accumulated debris at or above the gum line in the absence of periodontal disease (the inflammation of the connective tissue and bone due to subgingival calculus and endotoxins on the root surface). To the patient, this is rarely symptomatic but can result in loss of the supporting structures and the tooth itself. It is diagnosed by a set of dental radiographs and a full mouth measuring of the gum pockets around all erupted teeth. Are you advocating that DOCTORS of DENTAL SURGERY perform a treatment (cleaning) based upon a patient's demand, and not review the medical history, oral cancer exam, tooth and gum evaluation and without consulting radiographs? Dentists have been successfully sued for acquiescing to what you are advising when there was underlying decay or periodontal disease which resulted in serious infection and tooth loss. As a physician, would you allow a new patient to dictate treatment without your thorough diagnosis based upon your examination and recommended tests and imaging? Of course, I am against excessive radiography, but I would never jeopardize my good name and career because I allowed a patient to demand I violate the standards of care!

I highly value the diagnostic evaluation of dentists in the oral area. X-rays are usually minimal radiation exposure due to the small area examined. So again I’m not sure you’re referring to the Correct video here.

It was meant for Dr Suneel Dhand's video warning new patients to avoid a full exam with x-rays by a dentist and demand that only a cleaning was necessary. I have profound respect for Dr. Campbell, his guest and your channel for highlighting the need for strong blood levels of Vit D. During Covid-19, I advised my patients to get their levels tested and supplement when appropriate to reduce their chances of getting infected. I live in a sunny region but I use sunscreen and don’t tan outside. I now take 6000 iu Vitamin D and in the evening 120 mg magnesium, mix of citrate, glycinate and malate. My energy is much better the next day and fatigue has decreased. My blood work for vit D increased from borderline range, near insufficient with former 2000 IU vit D intake to midrange level with the 6000 IU intake. One might take a recommended level vit D but it may not be enough. Each body is different.

I take magnesium in the evening as it is promoting sleep. I take zinc in the morning together with D3 and K2.
My friend takes a blood thinner and vitamin D but is not keen on taking vitamin K2 as he was warned it can interfere with the working of the blood thinners.
Vitamin K2 has very minimal effect here. Vitamin K1, which is very different from K2, is increasing blood clotting as it is a cofactor in clotting factor production.
Can you take vitamin K2 when you are taking clopidogrel
This is definitely a question for your treating physician. Vitamin K2 is different from vitamin K1, which is the vitamin associated with blood clotting. Vitamin K2 should not have that effect on blood clotting. Clopidogrel is often given after a stroke or heart attack to prevent blood clot formation.
I had a lot of trouble with restless legs syndrome for decades. Started taking D3 at the beginning of the pandemic and my restless legs are a distant memory.
Amazing! It’s shocking how a deficiency in such a cheap vitamin can cause so many physical symptoms.
Exposure to UV from sunlight helps with the absorbtion of D3 suppliments

I read that after about the age of 45 that we can't convert sunlight into D anywhere near the levels of when we were younger despite how much sun we might be exposed to ?
The Ability of the skin to produce vitamin D3 decreases with age. Supplementation, especially in the winter months in the northern hemisphere, is important.
Our ability to produce vitamin D from the sun is said to at age 75 be 1/4 of that of our younger self.
At age 45, though, I don't know.
Isn't there potential issues with taking too much zinc consistently, ..I have 30mg capsules picolinate zinc, but I also take the multi vitamin capsules from brand 'Feel', which also contains some, any more is good old fashion diet.
Zinc does not really get stored in the body and needs to be consumed daily. You can, of course as with any metal overdose on it, but at those concentrations less likely.
The Japanese health authorities were recommending vitamin D supplements during covid because they were aware of the advantages, western health authorities were also aware of the advantages but did not even mention it. Anything that might affect the massive profits that the pharmaceutical companies were making was censored.
I did some UA-cam content early during the pandemic about vitamin D3 that was flagged. Even as a physician, I was not allowed to suggest anything, but the government read commended therapies.
