    Great videos.. roofing for over 20years and people are shocked when I draft in a lead worker for jobs.. leadwork is a dying art!!👍

    Hi Stuart. Stuart i made some bat boxes recently. I used ply. And made some kerf cuts ( remember what i taught you? 😅 ) so the bat can grip the wood and crawl up. I take it they can grip the lead? But i guess your bat entrance replaces a roof tile so it isnt verticle like a bat box?

      Yes that’s correct. They are the same pitch as the roof. I try and make the entrance as big as possible.

    you make it look so easy ,I tried my first lead apron using a Model O torch and the results were interesting to say the least lol. keep up the good work !

      Thank you. I’ve been in this trade for 24 years so it’s kind of second nature to me. Just keep practising and you’ll get there.

      @@mattclarke3893 if your planning on doing a doing a fair bit of welding it’s worth investing in a decent setup.
      I use victor single stage regs. Boc hoses and gas. With a model o torch. With a number 3 nipple. I’m planning on making a more in depth vid soon of my complete setup and welding process.
