haha, I used to listen to this all the time in jr. high. My music preferences are drastically different now, but I still listen to Kittie sometimes and I'm 25 now

But havent heard nothing from them since their 3rd album. I had this song on repeat kicking in doors in Iraq to keep adrenaline pumping.
Finally found this band after so many years. My older sister used to pick me up from Pre-K blasting kittie! Very happy to relive those memories, even when the lows and highs came through.. I love my sister alot :D

I see a lot of younger listeners "remember" this song and the rest of Kittie's work. I remember hazily my first Kittie show and it wasn't the last because I've seen them every time they've come to my fair city. They are TRUE pioneers in the metal genre and, they're the only all female band to pull off the heaviest music that is sheer fury and love of the music. You can hear it in Morgan's voice, she's an angel and a demon all in the same instance and it's breathtaking. Glad to see the younger crowd keeping Kittie alive and well. Now bang your fucking heads.
"You can hear it in Morgan's voice, she's an angel and a demon all in the same instance" Wait.... She is named... Morrigan.... Same name as *THE MORRIGAN* Celtic goddess (or goddesses depending) of war and death, associated with Ravens because she often takes the form of a raven. Thought to be where the Nordic Valkyries originated from? Valkyries which are said to have inspired the artistic paintings of female angels... Quite a fitting name for this woman. :p
The moral of the story, greed shall imprison us all. Ancient Chinese proverb. Great band. Nu metal will always have a place in my album collection. Powerman 5000, coal chamber, kittie, union underground, mudvayne, godsmack, spineshank. It was the best of times for a generation of music. My middle school and high school years sucked, but the music pushed me through it and i survived and came out stronger.

Holy shit, has it been fifteen years, Kittie? How do I still love you all so much? This album got me through the angsty teen years FIFTEEN YEARS GO as of two months from now, holy heck. Y'all, your teenage music stays with you forever.
Longer than that. I saw them open for Slipknot back in February 2000 at Irving Plaza. Was supposed to be Biohazard opening when I got the tickets, but they replaced them - and honestly, they put on a better (albeit abbreviated) show than Slipknot did. That was nearly 17 years ago. They were just cool kids as well. After their performance, Fallon and Mercedes (that I saw) were out there watching the show and talking with people they just performed for not an hour earlier. Was crazy to think they were just 16 years old at the time.
It's a pity this is labelled "teen angst" music. Morgan's control over melody transcends such a weak label on all fronts. This is why people are still listening to it far out of their teen years
