I just turned 47 today, I seen him in concert in Phoenix in 1997, general admission, everyone standing crammed into a gymnasium. My favorite part was when he sang Antichrist Superstar in front on a huge flag behind a podium, dressed like... dressed in something Trump would eventually wear blowing kisses to the crowd in time with the music. I was almost able to touch the stage by the end of the concert, it was tough, someone had passed out but still standing up because they were packed so tight, you have to fight your way closer to the stage. Luckily, I had this really tall roommate that could elbow himself through with me pushing him. It snowed fake snow at the end on some little tree. I tried to save some of the snow as a souvenir but in melted, or evaporated? My roommate said it was soap chips, but he never knew wtf he was talking about.

Does anyone else think that musical taste is kind of a personality trait that you either get or you don't? I remember being about 10-11 years old the first time I ever heard this song and it awakened a different part of what I call my "musical personality", which led me down a rabbit hole of discovering all sorts of metal and alternative music/sub-culture. Prior to that, all I ever listened to was whatever popular stuff I was exposed to from my parents or kids' movies soundtracks (not that those are bad) but no one ever influenced me to like Marilyn Manson...it was just something that sort of clicked in my brain.

Define steeple. Because by his context, I just assumed it's how high ppl can ride on sh purely based on their own egos... so basically, how they're own fd up brains function. "The beautiful ppl, it's all relative to the size of your steeple." Bc all I had the energy to find is how high the top point of a church towers at. Ppl can be completely simple... never underestimate the power of ppls unintelligencegencegence :). Bc I actually always give ppl more credit than what they deserve, just to be dissapointed...He is saying some simple sh... But some ppl can't even grasp that sh even. So in comparison, that's pretty wise :/. Ppl need to comment more. That way I can blow up comment sections more & hide more too. Or maybe not... at least I can find my past comments easier & delete them.

    "The Beautiful People"
    [Intro]
We would swoop down on the town
    Kill everyone that wasn't beautiful
    [Verse 1]
And I don't want you and I don't need you
Don't bother to resist, or I'll beat you
It's not your fault that you're always wrong
The weak ones are there to justify the strong
The beautiful people, the beautiful people
It's all relative to the size of your steeple
You can't see the forest for the trees
And you can't smell your own shit on your knees
    [Pre-Chorus]
    There's no time to discriminate
Hate every motherfucker that's in your way
    [Chorus]
Hey, you, what do you see?
    Something beautiful or something free?
Hey, you, are you trying to be mean?
If you live with apes, man, it's hard to be clean
    (Ah, ah)
    [Verse 2]
The worms will live in every host
It's hard to pick which one they hate the most
The horrible people, the horrible people
It's all anatomic as the size of your steeple
Capitalism has made it this way
Old-fashioned fascism will take it away
    [Chorus]
Hey, you, what do you see?
    Something beautiful or something free?
Hey, you, are you trying to be mean?
If you live with apes, man, it's hard to be clean
    [Pre-Chorus]
    There's no time to discriminate
Hate every motherfucker that's in your way
    [Bridge]
The beautiful people, the beautiful people (Ah)
The beautiful people, the beautiful people (Ah)
The beautiful people, the beautiful people (Ah)
The beautiful people, the beautiful people (Ah)
    [Chorus]
Hey, you, what do you see?
    Something beautiful or something free?
Hey, you, are you trying to be mean?
If you live with apes, man, it's hard to be clean
Hey, you, what do you see?
    Something beautiful or something free?
Hey, you, are you trying to be mean?
