I spent the past 25 years declining in health and fighting to live, planning my death a few times. Now that I've got the upper hand, the music I listened to as a kid that my mind didn't let me remember is popping up randomly. It's amazing my illness made me forget Kittie. They blew us all away. I remember in middle school we boys and girls had mad love for Kittie. That CD really made its rounds in borrowing! As a teen I interpreted this song as being about not exploiting women for sex (the video really helped my dim mind to understand that). And it nourished me to have these conversations with my male peers at that age for us to not exploit our lady friends as our hormones began to rage and we began to look at things differently. I am grateful I found such guidance from a song that I didn't get from anywhere else. Jin jiyan azadi!
I only wacht this video very late at night on MTV maybe two times, but I never forget it. Glad I found it again almost 25 years later. Very powerful stuff.

The only time I got to see you live, Jeff was playing as a stand in. Rockfest in Kansas City a million years ago, 2001 or 2, you just put out an album, Oracle, my sister and I played on loop driving a couple hours to catch your set, just in time. "Welcome to the machine" blew my mind as a cover, but the whole set was bad ass, lots of energy. You killed the set and my brother Tristan somehow ended up on stage and stage dove. Didn't even know he was there until I saw him on stage. Wild. When I came to the meet and greet, you all signed my ticket and it's still on one of my amps, Mercedes and Morgan were both chill enough to grant me a hug even though the line was pretty long and it was hot as fuck out there so we were all sweaty and gross. I moved one of my guitar amps to make room for one of the bass amps and found the ticket, this is why I needed to reach out on the UA-cam, proper channels, right? Thank you again for your art.
Loving this song at 14 and listening to it at 34... It's a huge difference and noone listened and I'm so sad they didn't 20 years later and we are only getting to the surface.
Damn, i love nu metal but for some reason never checked out Kittie before. This song is really cool, proper Deftones-y heaviness with that calm Smashing Pumpkins-like section 👌
Like have said in previous comments about this band. They are amazing been listening to them for years and they don’t get the same respect as their male counterparts in metal. I believe they should get the same respect and attention as let’s say Korn!?
I worked one of their shows for the Oracle tour and they hung out with the staff for hours before the show. I didn’t even try to talk to them and I wish I had. They seemed really approachable and fun.

I was what, 19, was into the heaviest shit from the 70s, 80s and the new 90s, always loved Kittie, these gurls are hard as fuck.
Kittie was awesome when I first heard them in 1999, and are still awesome in 2023
Damn, i love nu metal but for some reason never checked out Kittie before. This song is really cool, proper Deftones-y heaviness with that calm Smashing Pumpkins-like section 👌
Back when music videos were true artistic expression. Kittie still rocks! I was so lucky to see them live in a small show in Vancouver BC
All my respect to you ladies. some of the hardest working females in the Music World Period.
This is the best kittie year 2000 trying to save alternative nation around midnight. Now we have nothing
was 22 when have discovered this band and was happy to regain my amusement with it in 40.
Hello from Kazakhstan!
Kittie... awesome band! ♥️🤘🏻
I’m glad I grew up good music from my brother. He’s the one that introduced me into liking this band. Man those were the days!
The bass tone in this song is fire🔥
This band and this album will always hold a special place in my musical heart ❤️
I still remember when I first heard this song, my jaw hit the floor in the middle of HMV!
What is hmv

Like have said in previous comments about this band. They are amazing been listening to them for years and they don’t get the same respect as their male counterparts in metal. I believe they should get the same respect and attention as let’s say Korn!?
This video still gives me the chills
Damn, well this is a great recent post to hit my recommendations. Loved this song since you released it, thank you!
I SERIOUSLY LOVE KITTIE🖤🖤
BEST ALL WOMEN GROUP I HAVE EVER SEEN. WOMAN ♀️ POWER
I worked one of their shows for the Oracle tour and they hung out with the staff for hours before the show. I didn’t even try to talk to them and I wish I had. They seemed really approachable and fun.
Learning this on guitar the hard way so I've been jamming this tune on repeat hundreds and hundreds of times but still can't get enuf
My favorite all-female Rock and metal band ever since they came out on the scene with Spit featuring their video Charlotte from that album in 1999🤘🤘💙
I used to have a cruch o the guitar player. Wish I kept up with kittie, I only listened to them in high school. Now that im pushing 40, I don't have my friends judging me......just my wife lol
Thanks. Keep rocking on ladies! Blessings and love from England 🤘
Hell Yeah!!! I wish I got to see y’all a second time.
Kittie is one of those bands from my youth I gravitate back to, the nostalgia here is uncanny
You guys remind me of my adolescence.... what a time........?
