Man i fuckin respect that guy, he can kill a R34 with a Hachi and never doubts his skills To shake his hand would be killer but to ride with him in a Hachi down a touge i would fuckin give anything
silvertop 4ag 20v with individual throttle body's. "turbos are for geeks on the uphill." that's what tsuchiya said about turbos. the motor is irrelevant. it's the weight and handling characteristics that beat the gt-r. great motor though.
Meanwhile ever since the 50s the US has been obsessed with the stoplight scramble. A art in and of itself, absolute perfection must be ac heaved and even the slightest mistake or hesitation can cost you the game. Unlike drifting, touge, or any other circuit sport where there's always the next turn to make up time.
The R34 lead as the AE86 followed. I was looking forward that this was the complete version, but i guess the other version with the AE86 on lead and the R34 on the chase is not here. If your looking for a driver to fit that R34 doing the chase, that one got NOB Taniguchi on the seat. its ok guys, it looks like the R34 here is plain stock... either way; the AE86 still showed what balance is all about in winning the touge... The car with the best balance usually wins... if not always...
I agree. But something that ticks my mind........... This scene is the same as those in the several Asian shows where an old man pwns the youngster w/out sweat, or "Tortoise beats Hare" like of theme.
@nakazatoGTR You dont have to sell your soul. for a USDM version they run about $3-5K. For a JDM import they are about $6-8k plus the 2-3k for shipping. Not that far out of reach . . .
awesome. the production is absurd and totally over the top, but its classic BMI. Love that free-revving AE86, even if it does make my sweetheart the R34 GT-R look bad... Still, put them both on Tsukuba or Fuji, and pretty sure the GT-R would wipe the floor with that silly little thing...
R34, so oversteery and ae86 is better because you can have more control in corners and using 150+ hp in gunsai is good for practicing and the R34 is AWD so it will oversteer pretty bad and it probably has 400+hp and you might crash because of the understeer, "It's all about the balance"
dont forget if youre a skilled driver, you will feel free in a finely tuned car, i personally wont go for downhill even just by my self unless my tires are 200AA or less, my pads are P mu or Endless in great shape and my suspension gotta be adjusted to my feel...so better driver, better car adjusted to hes driving style, if you know what i mean...
The AE86 may not have had to be that well tuned to keep up with a GTR.. An AE86 is decently light weight and has a sturdy build (Toyotas.. Gotta love em.. close to tanks...) so what the AE86 lost in power gained in manoeuvrability and cornering.. He said that in the movie himself that he cant beat that R34 outright on a straight..
sotck skyline vs modified hachiroku thats the touge monster. hmmm very fair battle. why not tuned vs tuned? mcr gtr vs hachiroku? but i do have to admit those rokus are fun.
Yeah! In order for the R34 to get a fighting chance to a modified AE86, it should have a least give a WEIGHT REDUCTION, disable ATTESA-ETS, setting GEAR RATIO, and modify the HANDLING characteristics. I hope that would help.
Japanese manufacturers voluntarily RATE their cars at a maximum of 280 PS. And they fudge. You want a kick ass AE86? Look up 3SGTE Corolla (blue one doing donuts in the snow). WAY more power potential than a 20v 4AGE.
ITS ALL ABOUT THE BALANCE
ITS ALL ABOUT THE BALANCE! - Keiichi Tsuchiya
@@jonathandavidresendiz TOTAL BALANCE! (power-weight-brakes-suspension-breaking-weight distribution-driving feel-driver).
The induction on that 4AGE sounds awesome. quad throttles for the win!
Where’s the clip where Tanigachi steps out of the R34 and angrily walks away in a funny way? 😂
probably too late for you but for future, end of this one: ua-cam.com/video/2Jz_EmcxlQs/v-deo.html
This kinda stuff cracks me up, I can't get enough of it.
Typical japanese humor. Gotta love it!
ohhh, the very first video i saved in my favorites 12 years ago, and still is a very good video after all this time!
"I wont lose to a car that doesn't even have ABS!" haha pwnt
I have no idea why but adding the footage of footwork makes watching a race look so much cooler
Man i fuckin respect that guy, he can kill a R34 with a Hachi and never doubts his skills
To shake his hand would be killer but to ride with him in a Hachi down a touge i would fuckin give anything
The end got me fukin ded
I love this clip.
Haha keiichi's motto of life "we'll get 'em in the corners!"
1.38 - 1.44 the throttle response is really great..
the best touge video ever.

he is Fujiwara Bunta in real life
insane footwork
love how the check engine light is on at: 1:11
Dear Lord this was uploaded on May 2006? Please dont delete this video.
Thats the real life Drift King, the creator!
Gotta love the Hachi-Roku
Is there any way that I can get the original video file from you?

I'm talking about Sean transplanting the Skyline engine out from the Silvia and into the Mustang.
the sound and the way hachi climbs on the revs... pfffff only a husqvarna chain saw could stand next to it!! :P
Nobu's R34 is really cool!
hahaha! he saw a ding dong when he lifted up her/his skirt XD
I like the way Nobuteru talks lmao
2:53 street racer doesn't need a girlfriend
The only consolation from the Mustang is that it had an RB26DETT engine. Thank God for that.
Wow keiichi did it again
Nobuteru Taniguchi, professional driver in Super GT series (formerly JGTC) and D1.
Keiichi is god when he gets behind the wheel of that AE86.
The real story is this is the grove up itsuki who is fight with the agent guy from initial d.
damn right, thats drift king tsuchiya
that was awsome
lol i didnt realise that was Taniguchi in the r34gtr, thats hilarious! he makes for a hilarious gangster
That guy in R34 talks like Takeshi :-)
4AGE 20valve ! The backbone of AE86
Hachi roku ga ki eta?!
*MASAKA!*
keichi is my idol .. swear down

noone can stop the Drift King
you should do some research on the touge. He doesnt have to overtake the GTR to win. He just needs to keep up if he's the one following.
awesome. the production is absurd and totally over the top, but its classic BMI.

Back on the rocks intensifies
havent seen this one in a while, tsuchiya is the best..
plus I love Initial D. =D
Even the masters check engine light is on lmao
it is not just about power, its about balance. ===> truth.
yes
this reminds me of initial d but this vid was trippy and weird but the touge race itself was cool to listen to
If the skyline has a weight reduction, not even a car will hold it u..............u
I remember takumi and his AE86
Where is this track?
Yeaaah... give him a tap Tsuchiya-san
PLEASE...... name of song!!!!!!!!
On Japanese and European roads yes, but not on an American road that 14 miles long and wide enough for 9 cars lol
on american road that gtr would have smoke the ae86
@@patthonsirilim5739 yeah, but will be passed when it goes for fuel
demasiado chuzos !! los dos...
USNCorpsman has it dead right, the Hachiroku can have his throttle open almost all the way whilst the R34 has to keep backing off.
Just like Initial D cartoon... Takumi is the best on Mt. Akina in his Hachi-Roku

KT is the tech advisor for Initial D did you know that
Yeah. If I'm not wrong,Bunta is his alter ego.
taniguchi is hilarius
Intro Song ?
@octapulse thats kinda like 18 months of saving, i'd better start now eh?
its never too late for a hachi... though an LFA from heaven is nice..
Wow. He got skill. Look at that kind of shoes. It's hard to feel the pedals.
keichi rules!!!
WIN
at 1:12 his check engine sign is on... :o
oh noes!!

WANT
HACHI
ROKU
BAD.
Funny you knock on Tokyo Drift since Tsuchiya's in it and did a lot work with the makers of the movie to make sure everything was right.
'gravitys a mean mother, huh?'
especially if a ae86 is going down hill...
The AE86 may not have had to be that well tuned to keep up with a GTR.. An AE86 is decently light weight and has a sturdy build (Toyotas.. The Drift King is so funny
hmm ive always wondered who would win, taniguchi or tsuchiya, they should both do ae86's
sotck skyline vs modified hachiroku thats the touge monster. hmmm very fair battle. why not tuned vs tuned? mcr gtr vs hachiroku? but i do have to admit those rokus are fun.
1:11 music?
come on the ae86 oh yeah sum intake note from the 1.6's
Takumi vs that one guy
The S13? cool
When he counters the 86 in Akina
Yeah!

I hope that would help.
no it is an car show but it dose show that a little corolla can hang with a r34 on the down hill
oh tsuchiya-san, you sly dog you!
wow tsuchiya's footwork.. holy fuck lol
lol take it back to the farm LMAO!! nice one Drift KinG!!

nice toyota!
LOL at the end of the battle look, when Tsuchiya win the race.
ABS who needs it
Actually, both are ACE drivers, "NOB" Taniguchi and "Dori-kin" Tsuchiya. This is just a skit, perhaps. Hehe:P
LOL. You're so true. The cars were great though, but the Mustang spoiled the whole JDM scene.
...but I've got a 240 with an SR20! :(
Dont ya understand??? no ABS shitt!! his a god driving a car
