ha ha so funny 😂 I was in this village a couple of days ago. and it was raining like this. Maybe we were there the same day. nice to see this place on YT
Great to see you, Eileen. What a stunning village, especially in the rain! So much hard work has been done. Thanks for sharing your visit with us, Alex
The worst thing about the rain is needing glasses; although I'll admit the slipping around, mud, cold and time needed to dry out are up there too. You come across some great, very different places. These valley houses could be great for getting kids to bed, as judging by the shadows sunset would come early. That's a plan!
I can also imagine some nice stargazing on the front deck after putting kids to bed would be nice 😁 and yes, glasses are always interesting in this kind of weather. Also camera equipment 😉
Thank you very much Eileen for sharing such interesting treasures and giving holiday possibilities and creative pleasure🙏 I like the sound of your voice and, if course the information you give in a very natural peaceful way. People who does projects like this must have big dreams and a lot of force and endurance! Lots of respect 👍🙏
thankyou for the compliment, so glad to hear 😁🙏🏽 yeah, people who take on projects like this must have a very strong vision and ambition to complete to such standard, very inspiring!
Wow what a fantastic job they did renovating the houses, too bad they didn’t do more houses!!Gorgeous place such a shame that these houses get abandoned to begin with ,that view would make me stay and live there for sure
they are definitely steep.. but the café for example is an easier flat walking distance from the carpark if you would ever want to stop by and enjoy the view
i spend 1 week at casal novo village last year... great view on Lousa, nice quiet places. Went to Talasnal village and Castelo de Lousa, then back to Casal Novo, all by walking trough nature...
You're back! We missed you 😊 As usual, beautiful views and we love what they've done with the place. p.s. who doesn't like a nice cleansing downpour every so often
Love this place, thanks for the tour! My wife and I stayed in a schist village called Bocado a couple years back now and fell in love. Hope to come back very soon.
There are a loooooooooooot of abanoded places in Portugal. Not only in the mountains, also in the bigger cities a lot of empty houses falling down unfortunatly..
thanks! No none of the restored houses are for sale, I think there was 1 ruin that might be for sale. That ruin has a different owner then all the restored ones.
Great video and nice village. How they make the buildings waterproof? Waterproof sealer? I dont see any rendering on the external walls to withstand the rain. I would assume the mold is popping up from time to time inside the buildings if no sealant is used?
I don't now much about their structural approach. I have however stayed in the hostel and all the walls seemed very rigged and sealed. You can check out their website maybe for more info www.cerdeirahomeforcreativity.com/
Well with all rain remember Scotland where I did live 11 years It seems a great place to go visit and stay and hiking . 🥰🥰 It seems a great place to go visit and stay and hiking .What is the place that rents ? Great work .
thanks 😁Ahhh yes did resemble a the Scottish weather. You can rent this place by going to their website, here is the link www.cerdeirahomeforcreativity.com
It is more short term rental, like weekends and weeks. but I guess sometimes people rent it for a month or so. Mostly artists that decide to work on their craft there for a while
Hello, so where I am standing while I am talking in the intro is already the parking spot. You can also see bit of the parking spot at 00:55. And then from there you walk into the village.
Yes.. Portugal has a lot of former African colonies, like Angola, Mozambique, Cabo Verde to name some. So in the Algarve and Lisbon area there are many African-Portuguese people. More inland not that much.

Hi Eileen. Can you tell me, please, what the series of numbers T1, T2, T3, etc. in the titles to many of your videos refer to? Thank you.
