I would really love to know how much the property was & its overall size. What did the cost to renovate it end up being & what did you learn? Is there anything you would suggest for someone else (me) to do differently? Or things you did that were super easy & made a big difference? I am thinking about doing this for myself eventually if I can raise the funds & find the right land / property. I welcome ANY & ALL advice!! 🖤🪽
This demonstrates what skill goes into building. I think people often view construction work as fairly menial labor. This video perfectly illustrates that builders are truly craftsmen and artisans!
It’s very easy to totally mess up, waste materials and labour, as well as break expensive tools if someone doesn’t know the ropes. But an experienced craftsman can achieve miracles - as seen in the video 👍🏻🤩
Yes, exactly. I have had to work with a few clowns over the years who came into renovation from a non trade background, but thought they knew it all, with their ‘uni’ degree. You can’t be a dimwit and build like these guys.

Of course, you had to spend your whole life in another country if you ever wanted to come here do something like this.. sad portuguese moment. But the house looked very good in the end and it still inspired me to become like this some day!!! congrats!!

Why do you have to spend your life in another country to be able to renovate a house? There are almost derelict houses in every country just waiting for someone to save them from complete collapse.
My brother was a carpenter and I worked in the trades for a number of years. I would help him remodel houses which he would flip and eventually he built two new construction homes which I helped with extensively. Now my brother is gone and I am retired on disability but those times are some of the best memories of my life. Great times, and I miss him dearly.
I'm so sorry for your loss, you worked as a great team and you have some wonderful memories. I really enjoyed watching your film, you, your brother, wife and others are true craftspeople and you should be proud of what you created.
My parents got a 2 story vacation home built, including a driveway and a back patio and landscaping down to the river bank in about 7 months. The brothers in the video did an amazing job in 18 months, but companies would be out of business if it took that long
The knowledge, experience, imagination, energy and BALLs to do this are simply insane. I would hope and expect the neighbours to be over the moon. Absolutely tremendous. Congratulations, well done. I can't say enough !
It was painful for me to see how a house made of 100% natural materials, stone walls, adobo, which maintain freshness in summer and heat in winter, with clay tiles, became a monstrosity of cement, concrete, metal cavities. , prefabricated materials, imitation tiles and imitation roof tiles... that will keep their occupants slaves to the air conditioning and heating 365 days a year
My new neighbors are Englishmen which bought an old house since the last owner passed, i was still a kid. Now they renovated the house and never remember it being so beautiful. I'm so happy people like you are sprouting new life into these old homes once again. It just feels right 🏚️🏡

This is one of, if not the most spectacular renovations I have ever seen. Even more incredible it that you did it all in just 18 months with a small team. I can truly appreciate all the work that went into this. Not to mention the broad spectrum of talent held by your small team of folks doing work that would usually involve a small army of specialized tradesmen. Structural, roofing, plumbing, electrical, masonry, tile, counter tops, cabinetry, windows, sheet rock, painting, insulation and probably a few things I missed. Job well done to your team of men and women. It is something to truly be proud of. Had someone shown me this job at the start, I would have run away screaming! 🙂
Every now and again I come across a youtube video that I can't stop watching, this is one of them. What a lovely result, your hard work and determination paid off!
My father was a general contractor in the US. He started out as a plastering contractor. It’s been decades since I’ve seen anyone doing any plastering indoors. I have helped build many homes and remodeled, countless others. I kept looking for you guys to make a mistake, You didn’t. I feel like remodeling is much harder than new construction. At the end of your UA-cam, my shoulders, back and knees aches for you. BRAVO!!! 😀 👍👍
Thanks for the wonderful comments. There seems to be a reoccurring opinion from a few people that the house should have been demolished and rebuilt. The simple answer is, you can’t. Rules and regulations apply. Hope that clears that up.
@The-Quinta as much demo you all did, it seems you basically rebuilt the place one wall and one floor board at a time. Lol that was amazing to see! Absolutely enjoyed it. The end result was beautiful.
Strange that the rules would prevent from knocking down the house and rebuilding from scratch. It seems a ridiculous rule. Nevertheless, a job well done …and what was the cost? BTW great camera work and music is good too!
As a teen I was to Portugal several times and saw the absolutely beautiful houses that had fallen into disrepair. I dreamt about doing exactly this. Nice to see you doing it.
I started watching this, fully expecting to leave it after a couple of minutes but I could not take my eyes off it and finished up 45 mins later in complete awe of what you guys achieved. Incredible work!!👏👏🍻
I’m so happy that you didn’t demolish the house and kept some of its history, like the old blue doors. It looks beautiful 😊 From a Portuguese, thank you and well done 👍🏻
I cannot believe people would even think of wanting to level this house. I’ve collected and sold antiques over the years and the whole idea is to preserve what can never be duplicated or replaced. What a huge project to undertake but so worth the blood, sweat and tears and in Portugal! I cannot wait to see more.
Tbh, it is for for a couple of reasons people would level it. Cost is one of them. A lot of times it is cheaper and simpler to start again, two is the layout not really working and 3 is that the bricks are old so structure problems can happen in the future because the brick is just decaying. Making it cost more in the future. Not saying it is a bad idea to renovate but sometimes stuff can't be saved or fixed.
At the beginning, I thought it looked like the inside was in much better shape than the outside suggested. But I can see that it would be cheaper to tear it down and build new, if the regulations allowed it. But to me, the entire reason to do this is to keep the old charm that can be saved. And of course, you want the home to blend in with the surrounding homes on the outside at least.
@@eeliejun going by the looks of the brick and mortar that was exposed I bet the original construction was at least over 200 years old, and it seems also like there were at least a couple of previous renovations in the past.
This family took a building that could have been a backdrop in a Fallout video game and turned it into something that looks like it was built yesterday. Well done.
Absolutely, takes probably more thought and skill as you have to identify what your options are, it also shows a respect to the original builders, their hard work still stands and will go on to serve as a lovely home for hopefully many more decades!
I didn't think I would last thru an entire 45 min video, but I couldn't tear myself away. omg, what an incredible transformation! Wish I could live there.
What an absolutely stunning job you guys did on this restoration. The time and craftsmanship that was put into this project, most of us will never have any idea of the sweat and labor that was exerted into creating this masterpiece. I am in awe of the final product that this old worn and weathered home became. Well done, well done!!
As a Portuguese woman who loves building and renovations, I take my hat off to you, Sirs, I wish I had you in my family. Much respect for you and your amazing project, I've enjoyed watching every single second of this video. ❤
I compared the basic Portuguese landscape to my home place: California. It's almost weird to see the occasional distant view in the video! But history, now, is another matter. Even so, the Missions, and the tradition of tile roofs, goes back a long time here too. but not as long as Portugal. I suppose there are tragedies of destroyed history in both places.
Seriously, I got tired from watching the 45 minutes long video itself. At the end I felt like I've accomplished something 😄 I can only imagine how emotional this would be for you guys to start from scratch and get your dream house. Thank you for putting it up online, you guys deserve appreciation for what you did and how perfectly you achieved this. Cheers 🥂
it’s 2024. devoting 45 minutes of your attention to one thing is damn near superhuman. don’t hold back, kudos to you! i’m 7 min in and have paused it three times, one of the times to comment on a vid i haven’t finished (this comment.)
I am speechless. The skill, patience and perseverance of these brothers, and the help, it just beyond words. WELL DONE, BRAVO BROTHERS! I am truly impressed.
Accidentally clicked on your video, but I watch for a few seconds and then ended up watching the entire thing totally fascinated, hard work but my God was worth it great job thanks for posting this video
@@The-Quinta Even the old stairs on the first floor, I am sure you had your reasons. I am Sardinian and I am very fond of these old houses, you can feel our past inside them. You have done an impressive and wonderful job, but for me it was a bit painful to see the old look made of stones and terracotta disappear in favour of the more modern one. As I said though, it is clear that you know what you are doing. EDIT: the courtyard is truly but truly breathtaking, there you have done a truly outstanding job in recovering the best possible version of that house. Impressive.
Wow! I am in awe. Your parents surely raised strong willed boys that have the patience, focus, perseverance and ability to work together. The mental and physical strength it took to complete this project is beyond anyone can imagine. I am glad you all captured the process. This was amazing to watch. Kudos! ❤
It was so satisfying to watch it, I saw it whole without skipping, didn't realised when 45 minutes passed away, I feel the dead house would be so grateful to you for giving it a new life, may God bless you. Amen 🤍🤍🤍
It started out with me thinking these guys are going to get hurt doing the demolition. Then as the rebuild progressed I realized that these guys are total professionals. Well worth a watch👏👏
I did not expect to watch a 45 minute video on UA-cam this morning. Amazing effort requiring a ton of time, capital, bravery, etc. What a great way to be welcomed by your new neighbors (even with all the noise I'm sure you made 😀).
Haha literally me too, I was like I’ll just watch 10 minutes for now.. okay 15, okay no half the video. I ended up finishing it all at once 😂 loved every second!
You guys have me in tears. That was kick-ass work and I’m so impressed. The fact that you can come home to your home knowing what it was and now what it is and know that YOU were the vision, labor, and love that created thus is heartfelt. Peace and blessings to you and your family
Been doing remodeling homes and businesses with my dad and brother for over 20 years here in California and the work, dedication and perseverance for this project is spectacular. I’m glad you kept certain aspects of the home original and stuck to the regulations and played by the rules across the world. Well done my friend, going to share this with my family 🤝🏾
I am genuinely impressed by the diversity of your skills and the commitment to see such a renovation through - not to mention the creativity underlying the design of the end product. Well done. Really, well done.
Amazing, and I'm a bit jealous. I bought an old "as is" stone cottage 3 1/2 years ago and still playing carpenter, electrician, plumber and painter by myself, hiring crews only for the really heavy stuff. Getting to be home, slowly . . . This was inspirational.
Thanks so much for showing this to the world what an honour it was to watch your hard work and craftsmanship. There is not much more satisfying a thing then to watch a family work hard together.
Wow...just wow! I have always wished I knew how to be a craftsman like your brother and you clearly are. I can't twist two wires together... Absolutely wonderful work. I hope you and your family enjoy that place for generations. God bless.
twisting wires is easy. First you hold one wire while you eat your sandwich then when your done with the sandwich you clean up the area of crumbs and go get yourself a drink. Oh. go get the other wire and watch tv for an hour. No need to hurry. Where was I? Go to the pub and tell your friends how hard you been working . Done! Wasn't that easy my dear friend?
I watch a lot of renovation shows and this one is hands-down my favorite. I haven't watched something this absorbing in years. I was absolutely gripped for 45 minutes straight, lol. You guys are amazing. Craftsmanship like this is going extinct. Where can I binge more stuff exactly like this???
Taking something that was basically falling down to something liveable again warms the heart. Buildings with character are so hard to come by these days. To bring back this building to life really was a joy to see. Thank you for saving this home it was well worth the effort and enjoyable to watch
Wow! I am shocked and amazed how you redid this house! I could not imagine how those rock walls were even standing! Everything is very beautiful and clean! I bet the people in the town really love what you did here! What a hard working talented team you have! You turned your vision for this house into a reality! Well done you all!
@@The-Quinta Please tell me you invited the neighbors to have a look. I'm pretty certain they would love to see what you did with that old dilapidated house. And what the hell is going on with your combined skills, doing carpentry, construction engineering, plumbing and all by yourself? That's some major knowledge on construction.
@brigtboe Thank you! We did have visitors, quite a lot! Some of our weekly videos on this project showed them. It was very interesting to hear their stories about the house. Thanks for watching! 😎👍🏻
You do know cathedrals are made of rocks, right? Artisans were engineers. The only thing making those walls fall apart was not caring for the structure, because as the roof fell apart, humidity, wind and non harmonious weight distribution made it crumble.
Muchas felicidades la remodelación quedó preciosa, excelente todo el trabajo y los acabados, muy linda que la disfruten mucho, saludos desde Costa Rica.
That was honestly the most inspiring video I’ve watched in ages! I can’t imagine taking on such a project, but you guys turned a wreck into a beautiful home! Thanks for filming it along the way! 😊
First time I have seen your work, nothing quite as compelling as watching people do something they do well! This is totally fabulous, and gave new life to this property (and probably that bit of the village!) as it was lifted by the new crispness and honour done to the building, which you practically rebuilt from the inside out. Fabulous job!
This is so beautifully, collaboratively and passionately done that I watched every second of it as if it's my own village house. Cheers to everyone who contributed to bringing this abandoned house back to Life. 😊👍
It looked like a huge pile of rubble to start with and then…the magic began! WOW. Thanks for sharing your beautiful transformative story that came from determination and hard work!
Thanks for restoring our landscape. The final result looks amazing and really captures Portuguese tradition. With these ridiculous salaries and taxes, regular Portuguese folks don't (and never will) have the capability to do something like this. Hope you enjoy your time here.
It’s sad that the people of Portugal wouldn’t be able to rebuild and own homes like this in their own land. They did a beautiful job but I wonder who can afford the home now?
You brought back life into a home that passed away a long time ago. I loved your video, I could see myself being very happy living in this beautiful home. Thank You for sharing.
There's a lot of work and love that went into doing all this. You can tell, it's well thought out. These folks are tight and care about each other. You can tell that they all know what they're doing. They're some of the best folks that construction has to offer nowadays! Good job!
Sorrowfully with the younger generation all knowledge gets lost, they aren't interested in learning. We are so happy our son wanted to stay in his dad's footsteps in the motor trade and is now a Company Director within an established business. with 5 members on board. His future is sound, doing very well, so proud x
Boy, am I impressed! Thank Heaven for folks who will save these old structures! I'm exhausted. I hope you still love each other. Such skills and dedication. Wow! I hate to think of how long it took to "do" just one window. Thanks much.
It's incredible! Great job! Any builder can break and rebuild! But! To create such a wonderful project from the old one!!! This is no longer a builder, this is the highest step! This is the work of a real artist, a master of his craft! Thanks! You guys are great!
As a licensed contractor for years, I have so much respect for you and your team. I would have never taken the risk and time to start this project. You did absolutely amazing great work💪🏻
I was born in Portugal and would love a place like this to fly there on vacations! You also kept the original trace and stone walls in the property instead of tearing it down and building some huge out of proportion big box like most Portuguese have been doing! You made the Village there more pretty as a result! And for that feel like saying a big Obrigada! 😊
I renovated a 60sqm flat rearranged walls, removed every door, etc. Done like 60% myself, helped in almost every part (except electric stuff ). So I could feel the huge amount of work. Congrats! You’ve created something beautiful.
I am so envious of your skills and knowledge. Having the ability to bring something so beautifully back to life is priceless. Absolutely love the transformation. I hear there are many extremely cheap properties in parts of Europe, that cannot be demolished and must be restored within a certain timeframe, as part of the deal of getting the place for next to nothing. Those who can do most of the work themselves are certainly winners. It just astounds me that your every single trade…plumber, electrician, painter, tiler, carpenter, roofer, builder, decorator, cabinet maker, the list is endless!
This place is gorgeous in a way I can hardly describe. The way you filmed makes me feel so immensely proud, I think because you really highlighted the little tiny bits of work that are so difficult but rewarding, that make a house into a home and that really show how much you care about every detail. Absolutely stunning, both the end result and the work going into it. Legitimately moving and inspiring 😊❤
Hello, I must say I am astonished by the skills, especially the typical Portuguese house restoration. I am living in Lisbon and happy to see this work.. kudos to you Sir
Loved it! I know there's immense satisfaction in taking something that is worn, old, deteriorating, etc. and making it beautiful again. Doesn't matter if its a chair, an old car, or in this case, a house. Well done!
Being part way through our own house renovation in rural Spain (does it ever end?!?!)we can really appreciate the time, effort & skill that you guys put into this project. That is a beautiful house now & the scale of the transformation is breathtaking. Well done, guys.
Hi Dave, thank you for watching and spending the time commenting 😊 It’s hard work, but you know at the end when you look back, it’s so rewarding 🤩 Good luck with your reno.
I’ve heard so many great things about Portugal and would love to visit someday. My mother visited Portugal 50 years ago and said it was her favorite place in Europe-the people were wonderful.
WoW, WoW y mil veces WoW !!!! No sólo habéis hecho un trabajo alucinante seguramente en un entorno rural que necesita vida y habitantes, sino que habéis escogido un país maravilloso con gente estupenda como es Portugal. Enhorabuena!!!!
Covering up those gorgeous floor tiles broke my heart :( Should have kept one and hung it on a wall as a reminder of the incredible talent that went into creating those gorgeous tiles.
Yes they were beautiful. I imagine initially they intended to keep them, probably lift them and relay them. However, when lifting them too many cracked, that's why they used an angle grinder to cut through them to put in the underfloor plumbing.
I agree. Nothing left to remind you you’re in Portugal except for that stunning patio. It looks like remodels in the US… beautiful but no old world feel.
Stunning transformation. I admire anyone that takes it on and makes something old new again. I get tired of the continual tearing down the old and building new with less quality or character. I think you did an amazing job and I love that you kept a few of the original touches and reused them. I think you're all amazing and did a great job. Bravo!!

I’m so happy that you didn’t demolish the house and kept some of its history, like the old blue doors. It looks beautiful 😊
From a Portuguese, thank you and well done 👍🏻
Thank you 😊
Guys and girls, I'm blown away! You have it all !!! I admire you for all your skills.....simply astonishing.
Thank you Laurie 😎👍🏻
How much of the original building was left alone and not replaced? Are you preserving 23%?
I have nothing but admiration for people who can do this...respect and thank you x
Thank you ☺️
My feelings, exactament.
Deeply satisfying, i wish i had half of their skills!
There's something so much more satisfying about restoring an old house than having a new one built.
I am a D- painter. This was beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Well said
It wasn’t restored. It was stripped and something completely different was built.
WOW!!!!!!!!!!! What a rebuild project and beautiful detailing. Now you have a New York City Apartment in Portugal!!!! Fantastic work!!!
I didn't think I would last thru an entire 45 min video, but I couldn't tear myself away. omg, what an incredible transformation! Wish I could live there.
No one can say you guys didn't pour all your love and hearts and souls on your home. Congratulations! It looks phenomenal.
What an absolutely stunning job you guys did on this restoration. The time and craftsmanship that was put into this project, most of us will never have any idea of the sweat and labor that was exerted into creating this masterpiece. I am in awe of the final product that this old worn and weathered home became. Well done, well done!!
Waste of time and money. Still in a crap part of the world.
Requirements: lots and lots of money, knowledge, and skill. Obviously, you have met them. Fantastic job!!
As a Portuguese woman who loves building and renovations, I take my hat off to you, Sirs, I wish I had you in my family. Much respect for you and your amazing project, I've enjoyed watching every single second of this video. ❤
Wow, ☺️ thank you!
@@The-Quinta ❤
She said it all
I compared the basic Portuguese landscape to my home place: California. It's almost weird to see the occasional distant view in the video! But history, now, is another matter. Even so, the Missions, and the tradition of tile roofs, goes back a long time here too. but not as long as Portugal. I suppose there are tragedies of destroyed history in both places.
I was hoping to see a tour at the end of it all. Such a lovely house and marvelous transformation! ❤️
Me too. I was quite disappointed not getting a finished tour. Thats why I watched the whole video.
Me too, was looking for the final walk through.
@spai8275 Unfortunately our friend died at the end of this project and we didn’t get a chance to film a walkthrough. Sorry for that!
So sorry to hear that 😢@@The-Quinta
So sorry!! Really amazing what you all did! Respect! @@The-Quinta
Seriously, I got tired from watching the 45 minutes long video itself. At the end I felt like I've accomplished something 😄
I can only imagine how emotional this would be for you guys to start from scratch and get your dream house.
Thank you for putting it up online, you guys deserve appreciation for what you did and how perfectly you achieved this. Cheers 🥂
Even I wept as they closed the door for the last time. 😂
it’s 2024. devoting 45 minutes of your attention to one thing is damn near superhuman.
don’t hold back, kudos to you! i’m 7 min in and have paused it three times, one of the times to comment on a vid i haven’t finished (this comment.)
@@pupawupagus A superhuman effort needs a superhuman support and appreciation as well mate
Congratulations!!! The house turned out so pretty and respectful of our traditional lines. As a Portuguese and algarve lover couldn't be prouder 🎉🎉🎉
I am speechless. The skill, patience and perseverance of these brothers, and the help, it just beyond words. WELL DONE, BRAVO BROTHERS! I am truly impressed.
Thanks Jack. Very much appreciated 👍🏼
Accidentally clicked on your video, but I watch for a few seconds and then ended up watching the entire thing totally fascinated, hard work but my God was worth it great job thanks for posting this video
Awesome! Thank you!
losing that arch was a heartbreaker! what a lovely project... and it is wonderful to save an old house vs knocking it all down.
It was, but it was very low and crumbling so unfortunately it had to go 👍🏼
@@The-Quinta Even the old stairs on the first floor, I am sure you had your reasons.
Impressive.
@@The-Quinta what about the old tiles? they were gorgeous tiles.. I am really really disappointed..
For me it was some of the old tile, the ones with the pattern. The tile was stunning! Too bad there wasn’t a way to lift it.
It was a pleasure and an inspiration to see the sweat, blood, and hard work that went into it! 🎉
Thank you! 🙏
Wow! I am in awe. Your parents surely raised strong willed boys that have the patience, focus, perseverance and ability to work together. The mental and physical strength it took to complete this project is beyond anyone can imagine. I am glad you all captured the process. This was amazing to watch. Kudos! ❤
I loved every second of watching. the joy in rebuilding is all over all your faces! and what a craftsmanship ❤ well done brothers, and miss!
It was so satisfying to watch it, I saw it whole without skipping, didn't realised when 45 minutes passed away, I feel the dead house would be so grateful to you for giving it a new life, may God bless you. Amen 🤍🤍🤍
Thank you very much 😊👍🏼
wow! not only the transformation but the pleasure in watching real craftsmen working has left me in awe. fabulous job.
Thank you very much Chris 👍🏻
It started out with me thinking these guys are going to get hurt doing the demolition. Then as the rebuild progressed I realized that these guys are total professionals. Well worth a watch👏👏
Thank you ☺️
I did not expect to watch a 45 minute video on UA-cam this morning.
Wow, thank you!
How very clever of you to film this from the start! And kudos for the stellar work & devotion of everyone involved!
Thank you Jacques 😊👍🏻
Been doing remodeling homes and businesses with my dad and brother for over 20 years here in California and the work, dedication and perseverance for this project is spectacular. I’m glad you kept certain aspects of the home original and stuck to the regulations and played by the rules across the world. Well done my friend, going to share this with my family 🤝🏾
Thank you so much 😀
The differences between bricks and mortar versus cardboard and sticks is enormous…
I am genuinely impressed by the diversity of your skills and the commitment to see such a renovation through - not to mention the creativity underlying the design of the end product. Well done. Really, well done.
Just here to appreciate the huge effort put in to keep the 'soul' of the old place, while making it modern. Great work!!
Thank you very much David 😊
Amazing, and I'm a bit jealous. I bought an old "as is" stone cottage 3 1/2 years ago and still playing carpenter, electrician, plumber and painter by myself, hiring crews only for the really heavy stuff. Getting to be home, slowly . . . This was inspirational.
Надеюсь что все получится и вы сделаете свой дом мечты)
Keep going, good for you 👍🏻
Nice one. Hard work but rewarding 👍🏻
you can hire the brothers!!!!!
It’s amazing what humans can accomplish! So glad you came along to save this beautiful place!
Thanks so much for showing this to the world what an honour it was to watch your hard work and craftsmanship. There is not much more satisfying a thing then to watch a family work hard together.
Thank you Daniel 😊
It's one thing to know how to do something, but another to have a vision and add fluidity to the construction. Beautiful
Thank you Vladimir 😎👍🏼
No tour of finished home?
Congratulations! What a joy to watch - brothers working successfully together and achieving an incredible outcome. Enjoy the fruits of your labour! ❤️
Check out their other vlogs - lovely couple and so funny as well as talented
Crying because my mind is blown. God Bless you all. Enjoy this home forevermore.❤
Thank you!
Thank you so much! 😊
@brigtboe
Thank you!
We did have visitors, quite a lot!
Some of our weekly videos on this project showed them.
It was very interesting to hear their stories about the house.
Thanks for watching! 😎👍🏻
You do know cathedrals are made of rocks, right? Artisans were engineers. The only thing making those walls fall apart was not caring for the structure, because as the roof fell apart, humidity, wind and non harmonious weight distribution made it crumble.
i was skeptical at the beginning about how this building going to turn out , but you did an amazing job . hats off to you sir .
Thank you! Appreciated! 😎👍🏻
Muchas felicidades la remodelación quedó preciosa, excelente todo el trabajo y los acabados, muy linda que la disfruten mucho, saludos desde Costa Rica.
Mad respect for the work and effort you put into your house for your family. Great job
That was honestly the most inspiring video I’ve watched in ages! I can’t imagine taking on such a project, but you guys turned a wreck into a beautiful home! Thanks for filming it along the way! 😊
June, that’s very kind of you. Thank you for watching and thank you for the lovely comment. 😎👍🏻
True! I was going to watch the beginning & shoot across to the end..But I got so engrossed in it watched it through..Great Job!
I am glad I am one of those who watched this house renovations from start to finish in both your brother and your channel.
Incredible!!! Skilled work and such exacting work from the brothers… BEAUTIFUL!!!
I am an IT guy from India and I don’t have much knowledge of construction, obviously, but I loved this entire built ❤
Thank you ☺️
Thanks for restoring our landscape. The final result looks amazing and really captures Portuguese tradition. With these ridiculous salaries and taxes, regular Portuguese folks don't (and never will) have the capability to do something like this. Hope you enjoy your time here.
Many thanks! 😊
Thank you so much 😊
How many of yous fast forward to the 44th min😂
😂 here
Hence proved our generation lck patience 😂
Guilty 🙋🏻♀️😅
Lol
Hahaha... all all
As a licensed contractor for years, I have so much respect for you and your team. I would have never taken the risk and time to start this project. You did absolutely amazing great work💪🏻
That’s very kind of you. Thank you! 😊👍🏻
This is what you call dedication, just clearing the waste material is an effort without everything else, great job great results
Thank you! 🙏
Architecture as been slaughtering landscape for the last 30 years. The squared architecture is dominant globally right now.
I renovated a 60sqm flat rearranged walls, removed every door, etc. Done like 60% myself, helped in almost every part (except electric stuff ). So I could feel the huge amount of work. Congrats! You’ve created something beautiful.
That is awesome!
Thank you ☺️
I just love watching smart, talented people who can do so much. My heart just sings when I see such people. Great job guys
Thank you ☺️
Wow, such a talented, hard working people ! I couldn't stop watching , very beautiful result ! 🤩
Thank you so much 😀
I am so envious of your skills and knowledge.
Your project has remarkable craftsmanship and you all have more patience and talent than I could ever imagine! You all are AMAZING!!!
Thank you so much 😀
Hello, I must say I am astonished by the skills, especially the typical Portuguese house restoration. I am living in Lisbon and happy to see this work.. kudos to you Sir
Thank you very much! 😎👍🏻
Loved it! I know there's immense satisfaction in taking something that is worn, old, deteriorating, etc. and making it beautiful again. Doesn't matter if its a chair, an old car, or in this case, a house. Well done!
Thank you ☺️
you are welcome!@@The-Quinta
Being part way through our own house renovation in rural Spain (does it ever end?!?!)we can really appreciate the time, effort & skill that you guys put into this project. That is a beautiful house now & the scale of the transformation is breathtaking. Well done, guys.

I’ve heard so many great things about Portugal and would love to visit someday. My mother visited Portugal 50 years ago and said it was her favorite place in Europe-the people were wonderful.
You guys did a wonderful job renovating the abandoned house. It's beautiful and I'm not even done watching.
Thank you so much! 😀
Wow, I never thought such a massive ruin could be recreated into something so modern and beautiful! Wonderful job and most impressive team work!!
Personally..., I'm so proud of all of you , Fantastic job, I watched from start to finish !!!😊

Me too. I was hoping you would make it your home.
What an incredible skillset to have. It seems like a huge amount of hard work, but also incredibly rewarding. Very impressive.

WoW, WoW y mil veces WoW !!!! No sólo habéis hecho un trabajo alucinante seguramente en un entorno rural que necesita vida y habitantes, sino que habéis escogido un país maravilloso con gente estupenda como es Portugal. Enhorabuena!!!!
Thank you! We love being in Portugal 😎👍🏻
It takes special people to see the way forward and envision the possibilities of a completed project .
You do that next time
I agree. Nothing left to remind you you’re in Portugal except for that stunning patio. It looks like remodels in the US… beautiful but no old world feel.
@kitirving
The tiles weren’t original. We had an antique tile dealer take a look and he laughed at us.
@nunyabiz you’re joking right! 😂
A casa foi linda, magnifica trabalho na reforma da casa. Está de parabéns.
What an outstanding remodel. I really didn't think that building and remodeling would take an amount of artistry. Truely amazing.
Thank you very much!
Stunning transformation. I admire anyone that takes it on and makes something old new again. I get tired of the continual tearing down the old and building new with less quality or character. I think you did an amazing job and I love that you kept a few of the original touches and reused them. I think you're all amazing and did a great job. Bravo!!
