Thanks Mike, this video certainly helped in the process of cutting my vent down. This along with a couple other videos were very beneficial. Keep up the great work!
Glad to see you back. I sent you an email. Spoke with a builder for our house in Georgia that recommended using a standard water heater saying that tankless have a lot more maintenance than a traditional.
Mike I would love to pass this info on. You have impressed my boss on a job you helped out with. When he told me he had dealt with you. I told him I have seen alot of your videos and i was very impressed with them.
bkoz319 I will be doing some videos of my completed installs and some full installs. I have a complete install on my other channel Mikes wood shop. Thanks for the comment
rinnai guy- it appears that in your written comments above in the first sentence you use "non-combusting" twice in describing both kind of vents. One must be in error. Love your videos.
You can not drill through the pipe you will have to drill through the outer layer first the sin intake side to get to the exhaust pipe. There is no way to seal the inner hole do flue gas will mix into the fresh air side causing trouble. If your doing a boiler like a Q series there is test ports on the top of the unit Mike
Hi Mike! I love your videos. I follow you on here and I recently found you instagram. You mentioned that we can paint the vents. What paint would you recommend for that? Thanks in advance
I'm confused about the engagement when adding vents. How deep is the engagement? If you're setting up your Tankless a distance from the wall and are measuring for the vent length, and you are trying to determine how many extensions and the lengths of the vents, do you account for the engagement by subtracting an inch per extension?
Love your videos and they helped me immensely while installing my own tankless heater. Hope the health issues were temporary. Thanks again!

This guys the best!
So we have metal on the inside and outside. Same procedure? For a gas water heater tank venting.
Do the Ubbink's come with test port for afue gas analysis or does a hole have to be drilled? Thank you in advance!

Based on this video I am thinking of just running the venting, then putting the water heater at the perfect spot to avoid cutting.
