If only it were that simple - but it`s NOT !. There are certain people out there who ALWAYS want MORE, you could pay them a million a week and it still wouldn`t be enought, to them, it`s NOT about money, it`s about POWER !.

Foreman was planning to take the twins out with some others had they have beaten their trial in 69, When i heard Big Albert say it first i didn't really believe it But was amazed to hear Fred say it on Faces of the British underworld .

The Krays had charisma in abundance but it would stretch credulity to portray them as heroes. For a lot of people they are heroes, which is sad. If you look up to the Krays then you don't believe in society or personal responsibility, like the girl who called that murdering schizophrenic Raoul Moat a legend. Nobody with a job, a bit of money, a life and some self respect could ever look up to thugs like the Krays. They were one of the first celebrity gangsters though and they are fascinating.

I didn't say they were heroes!
I meant they were facinating people because they were identical twins, and it is a story of the like we will nvr see again

They weren't identical twins., you think they look identical?

    • @dalemunro6879

They were identical twins until the age of 21 when Ronnie went mad and was sectioned under the mental health act. When he come out 3 years later he looked different to Reggie. If you look for pics of them when they are 21 and under you cannot tel them apart.

You are correct that Ronnie became bloated and his eyes took on a different look, which believe it or not can affect a way a person looks too.
They were not 100% identical pre-Ronnie going away, as it's possible, if you know them well enough by sight, to pick which was which.
I say not 100% identical because then you would not be able to tell.
I'd say they were 90% identical and that little 10% is what you can use to pick them apart.

I just read 2 books about the kray twins. The first one is called the krays the final count down. The 2 book us called one of the family 40 years with the krays by Maureen Flanagan. Excellent book if you get a chance to read them do so.

The Kray brothers only went after their ‘ own kind ‘ other gangsters … my dear old Nan was an Eastend gal as was my mum in law and both said ‘ women could walk the streets safe and sound ‘ when Ronnie and Reg were around .

Also Reggie was a twin and anything one twin does the other usually follows they were loyal to eachother but the sad bit is if Ron hadnt went mad in the 50s Reggie would definitely made a success of crime and died a free rich man but Ronnie simply kept making problems for them and he would always back Ron up (naturally) very sad on Reg i think he didnt deserve 32 years RIP Krays

they never tried to be heros, just doing what they did best, media is making them heros, I have a list 2 pages long of these guys I locked up whilst a screw at Leicester nick, 99% of them was the easiest cons I ever knew, would have a pint with most of them anytime including reg kray, bob welch, tom wisbey, jimmy white, charlie and eddie richardson, tony and chris lambriano, ronnie bender, freddie foreman, micky kehoe, billy gentry, paul seabourne, wally probyn, john macvicar, they were all ok, just pure professionals, if you met them in your local you would never be aware that they were a danger to you or anyone else, good luck to em all, they done the bird, let em shine..

I agree with that, they are fascinating, being identical twins as well,.If they hadnt actually murdered 2 people set up a 3rd murder and pretty certain commited another 2 murders and just stuck to the long firms and a bit of extortion theyd probably been out in under 10yrs and been out as rich successful and above all straight men.

    "kill who needed killing"
That is a ludicrous statement. Who needed killing exactly ? Don't answer, the answer is anybody who got in their way or anyone they felt was costing them money. If you really are 31 years old then I'm shocked by your naive attitude but I suppose there's one born every minute. Please don't respond to me as I am not interested in getting into a moral debate with a Nickelback fan, you have obviously made your mistakes in life already and you will have to live with them.

John Smith I agree, it's very sad when you read Reggies book written inside. I think it was terrible keeping Reg in there. He would have done a lot of charity work in particular helping young people to avoid a life of crime. He says that in his book and I believe he would have done just that. I hope they are all happy in Heaven with their lovely mum Violet.

    • @annnee6818

John Smith Oh so you want people to be able to buy themselves out of prison? The richer you are, the more you can give to charity, the more you should be able to get away with... and if you're poor, fuck you? What am I saying, that prezzy much IS the system we have now. If you think about it a lil bit though, you might not want that as a general rule.

    • @annnee6818
      @annnee6818 6 років тому +5

Prophet Ascending They did NOT only hurt other villains... where do you read that bollox? You should listen to some of the victims of their protection racket (some of them were willing, most were not). And loving your mum does not automatically make you a nice person. They had a terrible track record with women. Reg's wife killed herself to escape him. Plus they raped boys, Ronnie at gunpoint even. Lovely people they were, just lovely😒

Donaghue's story about the poker is totally different to that of Lenny Hamilton who was the recipient of the hot poker. Donaghue says they done it to get information out of him .Hamilton says it was revenge for him bashing one of their friends. But then criminals aren't known for their honesty

I think if Ronnie had been sane im pretty sure Reg would have been 90% straight,as he wouldnt have always had to be going to get Ron out of one mess or another.Did Reg deserve 32yrs probably not he should have come out after his 30yr tarrif, never a proper reason why he didnt..He even had Roberta to live with the lot and hed never have gone back to crime, the young kids would have just shot him if he had.Ron sadly was never really fit for release though he could have gone to a less secure hospital

Wagon Wheel Sorry, I didn't mean to offend your hero. The East End was a safe place when Ronnie and Reggie was running it wasn't it? They loved their old mum. Apples and pears. Cor blimey. Do me a favour. It was old fashioned violence. Not like this new fangled violence you get now. It's all about respect, innit me old mucker?

Ron Kray wasn't the most feared gangster of 60's London, there were many who didn't weren't scared of him Cornell wasn't Id say Ron was scared of him and that's why he shot him, Freddie Foreman was also very hard, the Richardson's ,Nash's ,Alf Gerrad, Jimmy Moody, Ginger Dennis, Roy Shaw ,Joe Pyle, Frankie Fraser among others were as tough as the twins, if not harder, I read both Alf Gerrad and Jimmy Moody were not to be messed with, Mad Frankie was also not to be crossed and if you went up against the Nash's you'd be in more trouble than the twins after you. So I'm sure Ron n Reg were tough they weren't THEE toughest ,and Ron? I'll never understand why Ron's pals didn't care about him sleeping with young boys his "Prospects" as he called them, but then again maybe that was one reason why Freddie Foreman said "they were getting Ironed out if they beat the case"

This is the interview that caused Freddie murders,he admitted killing Mitchell for good honest reasons.he was looking to apologise and give peace to families but police came after him ala keefe d,this is why Fraser said Fred should not have said as Rev was alive and after parole,I think he’s right but I also can’t be critical of Fred wanting to make amends,he’s a man with emotion so probably was hard on himself
