In my opinion it's the only reason they legalised Homosexuality because politicians were getting increasingly compromised. Nothing to do with humanity or human rights.
On the contrary it was taking a big risk for those MP’s to support the decriminalization of homosexuality, being that there was so much public opposition to it back in the mid sixties, and in fact it was a conservative peer Lord Arran who proposed it in 1965…..who was straight btw! In fact it was that unpopular with many of the public, some MPs attributed their defeat in the 1968 election for supporting the bill that passed the previous year! Yes some might have been secretly gay, but decriminalizing was nothing to do with what you are suggesting!
Notice that these pedophiles are in the top echelon of names that I suppose you could hardly accuse them of these horrendous allegations Now we know better !!!! 🥰

We don’t know 10 percent of the real story and all the people involved are dead. There’s a reason Krays we’re jailed for 30 years which was excessive for that time.
The trouble with that is, how can we know how much we don't know? It has to come down to either facts that don't fit, but might fit other including innocent explanations, or gaps in our knowledge which you reckon at 90% of the real story - but how can you ascribe characteristics to gaps. It's like having pieces of a jigsaw puzzle where the content is covered over: you might be able to find a gap where the shape fits, but since you don't know the content, or the size of the overall jigsaw, you can't know that piece is supposed to go there.
@@dionlindsay2 That number is an estimate and it’s based on the established facts of the cases, testimonials of the people that knew them etc. it could be 20 percent or 1 percent but we definitely don’t know the whole story. I'd say Ronnie Kray knew what Jimmy Savile was up to when Savile visited Broadmoor and was on the board and sometimes lived there, Ron Kray would have spoken to Savile because Savile was the famous charity DJ and TV star, but something tells me Ron knew what he was and may have let some of his pals know, If Ron did know who Savile was and what he was doing ,why wouldn't he try to expsose it by using his friends In the underworld. Maybe he tried and that would have kept him in forever, Even when J.Pearson was writing the book and both were jailed ,Pearson was giving hIm pics of Ron and Bootbhy ,when Pearson left them in his flat and went on holiday when he got back his flat was robbed and only the pics taken. Something weird happened there,

Ol' Boothby liked booty, by Jove. Or as the saying goes...'A hole or a pole'. Although his name is not mentioned in this documentary (doc from the 1980s I'm guessing?), in hindsight I have no doubt that Jimmy Savile was intertwined in the seedy, sleazy side, particularly in the grooming of children. Saville was immersed, very prolific in that sinister, shadowy world from the late 1950s onwards for at least three decades. He was also a master of threatening lawsuits, which might explain his absence from this doc. Although it's a dark subject, there's lots of amusing innuendo hither 'n' thither in this doc......"He needed to get out of a hole." Great doc. Thanks for upload. Respect from Ireland.
after meeting Lord Boothby and Tom Driberg MP , Ron was all for forming his own political party called the Firm , he had big plans not just as an MP , but actually being Prime Minister , he would listen to Winston Churchill speeches and tried to talk like him , sadly it was not to be as he had a criminal record , and was barred from entering politics .
Such a shame this original film has such deteriorated narration sound track as it's so wooly even the subtitles can't filter out the sloppy upper class indistinct mumbling of the narrator. It needs re editing with someone who can speak clearly being dubbed over the old useless sound track. Ploughing through it causes what we used to call "listening fatigue".
@sydmccreath4554 You're lucky you haven't got an age related hearing issue. Even so I would still find your wooly diction caused by that inferior recording even if I had 100% good hearing. It's not Opinion it's an auditory fact.
Captioning wasn't that accurate 4 years ago when this was loaded. And since that's only the most recently captioning could have been applied, you're probably restricted to even older captioning technology. Very little chance unless you had received pronunciation accents instead of the drawls you hear here. But no, I reckon I follow the voice pretty accurately anyway.

The fight to get a decent police force has been long and hard. Alas, those days have passed and I fear it has again been trampled into shadows again by governments, politicians, previleged patrician and media. Good luck to decency, it may be down but not out.
