- It's kind of incredible how fast things can go south for a game. One day you're all fine and the next you put out an update that shakes an entire community. I made this video because I don't know really where to stand. There's people who are really excited for Payday 3 and there's people now who are really skeptical because of what's been happening with Payday 2 over the last few days. Who knows, maybe Overkill will release an update tomorrow which makes this video completely useless.
This is my first time recording without a script, I know I say "um" and "like" a lot but bare with me. New videos out soon. Thanks again for sticking with me.

The graphics aren't even bad anyway. The only issue is the servers.
with all of this broken at least put dallas in fortnite that would at least be funny

As someone who plays on steam, and got my friends to finally get the game through the epic free game. I can confirm matchmaking does work. Steam can join Epic and vice versa. You can also add each other on your heister list for easier joining. Lobby code also works under the social menu. Matchmaking is not nearly as broken as you state. However it seems if playing on the steam client. If an epic user joins you the game seems to register them as a "cheater" for using an unknown gun skin regardless of them having a gun skin on or not. So if you have the "cheater kick on join" checked on you can run into and issue of them not being able to join you or just crashing there game when they attempt to accept your invite. Game plays fine just like it always has for me. Although the mod hub seems to be down.
I haven't checked today but yesterday when I tried to run online there were only like 5 jobs up at a time and they were all lowest difficulty and would reset only every like 30 seconds or so. Something was definitely up, at least for me. I'm on steam and I don't have any friends on epic so I'm probably a little ignorant on it all
@@JawCrush i've been playing with my friend through it and there was no issues at all, not sure whats going on with people but its been working perfectly fine for me
@@Epix-un3vo Playing with friends should be fine but I think matchmaking, like going into lobbies with randoms is really difficult atm
@@JawCrush I’ve managed a good few matchmaking games too, I even got the virus achievement from someone this morning from joining them
@@Epix-un3vo That's good, and that's funny lol. I hope widespread matchmaking is fixed and that crossplay is fixed especially soon

I'd say that this update's fault also partly lies with the fact that the update team for payday 2 is a small man team with the rest of the team being focused on Payday 3 as well as seeming to have not much time to test the update to meet the Summer Games fest + epic deadline.

Not to mention modworkshop has been down for a while now making mods impossible to update. Yes, I did update Beardlib and SuperBLT but it didnt seem to make a difference. I also am hoping modworkshop is back online soon.....
I hope so too!! I noticed my mods not working a few weeks before the big update but I didn't even bother checking it because I don't have too many. I thought it was just me for a while

Hey so I’m having trouble with payday 2 and not sure if it’s a glitch or that’s how the game is. I was playing heists as usual and leveling up which gives me skill points. When I go to my skill tree and change my build, I don’t see the skill points I’ve earned. Is there any way I can fix this? And yes I’m new to the game.
Hmm... that could be a few things I feel. You could be switching sets which would reset what you have, there are some skills that cost more than others which could be why you have less than you think you do, stuff like that. I don't think there's any glitch that has to do with skill points not being there, so maybe look into the UI itself as you might just be a little confused. That's what I think, it's not like the UI is super intuitive anyway lol, especially for beginners
Literally a very few people are on linex and personally i dont care about them, If you want to play the game obviously use virtual windows. It is like complaining for mac users.
and yes, it sucks that it broke matchmaking obviously but understand that crossplay is a good thing, it is just the way they implemented it broke it and should have done more testing than try to push it out asap.
Crossplay is great! This update def could've used more time, I don't really see what the big rush was to be honest
@@JawCrush i think the rush was to push pd2 to more people soon through free to keep on EGS so they have more potential people to buy PD3
@@FighterNP You're probably right tbh, they shouldn't have rushed it to begin with, I'd much rather crossplay come after Payday 3's announcement and it actually work lol
