Any specific wiring harnesses? I keep seeing where you have to purchase a specific wifing harness with a transmitter to keep your chimes and blinker sounds is that true? Thanks a lot because the wiring is the hardest part of this whole thing
If you want to retain the chimes and sounds then yes that is a different harness. TBH if you dont care about the chimes and such you can use the cheap harness without issue. Unless you have the premium sound package then you would need the more expensive harness.
@@BoomsdayCustomsEmporium how do you know if you have the premium sound package? I have the LTZ model. I dont really care about the chimes and lll that but I just dont want to mess anything up.
The harness for this car was less than $20 on amazon. If you want to retain steering wheel controls and chimes those are more expensive but still not $300

You should just be able to put the key in and turn it to accessory for about 4-5 minutes. Then you should be good to go. Hope this helps
