Alec Steele Blacksmith 2020 - Розваги
Indeed the fanciest Pizza Cutter, but I'm genuinely disappointed that you didn't cut a pizza and test it out.
Yeah I thought they were gonna do something like that like they normally do. :,(
bruh i thought the same thing. he did it in the first video lol. why not now
Yup, I miss the slow motion pizza cutting as well!
I wanted to see him smash a pineapple with it.
they need to follow this up in there next vid. "MAKING SO AND SO, PLUS TESTING OUT THE PIZZA CUTTER"
He did 5 episodes making this thing and the man didn’t even cut a pizza with it
I wish he went out got a frozen pizza cooked it in the forge then cut it
Im actually mad
I wanna see him cut pizza with it
Nyxeer FROZEN?! *looks at you with disgust* a work of art like that deserves much greater things than that kind of peasant bread!
I would never ever cut anything with that.
Fanciest Pizza cutter in the world, Part 6: Cutting Pizza...
Damascus pizza 🍕
Fanciest Pizza Cutter in the world, part 36: Putting Gold Inlays in the Handle, final part.
Too nice to cut pizza🤪
I highly doubt that anyone would use a $10,000+ pizza cut for actual use.
It is an art piece.
An absolutely beautiful art piece.
@@intothecalm420 But it was built for use, so you could at least use it once for us ya know? XD Cut, clean, and eat
Will, a forging and crafting expert: Fancy pizza cutter made of some of the best materials he could work
Me, a pizza eating expert: Well that thing doesn't look dishwasher safe
Don't put your pizza wheel into a dishwasher. It kills the edge and you will be squishing through your pizza rather than cutting
Good, it's better to clean them with a rag. I've seen mold growing between the blade and the handle attacher because people think that high pressure water is enough to clean tight areas. It's not.
@@lorenzvo5284 You are correct. Pizza places don't give a damn about that though. They would rather have something done fast than done right.
I can't believe you didn't even cut any pizza with it. I mean, that's all I've wanted to see since you started on this project.
I need the satisfaction of watching it cleanly cut through some delicious pepperoni!
First I thought too - Will it cut pizza!
I was going to comment exactly that... I'm so frustrated right now! I want to see it cut some pizza!!!
Will...your blade...Will Slice
Maybe they can use the newly refurbished forge to cook up a small pizza.
Honestly, like, awesome work on the piece, incredibly gorgeous- but i need pizza cutting b-roll!!!
“Where’s the pizza cutter?”
“In the dishwasher”

"We need a pizza cutter"
Now:
> doesn't use brand new pizza cutter
I mean, obviously it was just a set-up for a reason to make a fancy pizza cutter.
Who would, in their right mind, use a pizza cutter made that way? The gold wire inlay on the handle would get filled with pizza sauce and grease, it would be difficult to properly wash, etc
@@kinomora-gaming Yep, washing it after use could be a real pain ....... literally.🚑
Kinomora Why would the handle be anywhere near the sauce?!?
@@kinomora-gaming Never mind the fact that it would have to be taken apart every time it was washed so that it doesn't rust due to the tang, disk/blade and nuts are all just high carbon and will rust like crazy. Just made to look pretty and never actually be used. Shocked it only took 5 episodes was expecting at least 10.
@@kinomora-gaming fill with epoxy?
Advisory: No pizza was harmed in the making of this video.
Atleast test the thing a cut a pizza. I've invested 5 episodes of seeing this beauty made and you don't even cut anything with it.
That's not entirely true. He did cut his finger.
@@Kashaww Well... it IS Will, so blood was inevitable...
Who else went to the comments after they found out will Wasn’t going to cut a pizza 🍕
Totally man.. what the heck?! Where's the Pizza Will?
WORLDS FANCIEST PIZZA CUTTER !!! PART 6 CUTTIN PIZZA
Cut pizza !
Yep. Disappointed!
thats why im here
Seeing simple everyday tools be crafted in an overly elaborate way, with such detail and high end materials is strangely satisfying. Well done, Mr Stelter.
Opulent.
Ok there had better be a Part 6: Test Cutting Pizza episode. I'm even prepared to watch a full 15 minutes of Will and Alec eating pizza just to see the project come to fruition! 😀
Part 7 - refinishing and re sanding due to rusting after washing.
No! It's too pretty!
@@Broken__Reality just wash it right and it won’t rust
Looking at the quality of Will's work, having his name on anything in the future will be a real investment.
Proud to be born in the state he lives in , and that Alec is here to
Imagine the things he will create when he's an old man.
The Old Master status lol
Anyone else like me and when Will says, "I just need to drill a 1/16" hole and put in a locator pin. Easy..." expect the very next scene to be him holding a split ivory spacer telling us he needs to start over?
Whenever soneone uses the word "just" as in "I just need to do xyz.." expect something to go wrong. The reason is not fate...its that mindset of someone who uses "just" is bent towards sloppiness and shortcuts. Not to say they cant do amazing work...its just that they have to start over and over again!
@@patricksanders858 so overconfidence?
I know right, is it really even a Steele / Stelter build series without a complete restart 5 episodes in to a build series.
Matt Fochs I like your brewers profile picture
I figured he was going to snap the gold wire as soon as he started talking about how brittle it was before annealing
Dude... this is a piece of art. Everyone here are friggin true artists and craftsmen. From Will’s developing on-camera charisma, skills showcasing his creativity and craftsmanship, to the videography, and video editing of the entire staff. This series was pure joyful entertainment and showcases the utter professionalism of everyone involved. It’s so awesome to see a perfect storm of skilled people come together to develop such a video series that seemed to be as “mundane” as making just another pizza cutter. Friggin well done.
This is why I love this channel. A multipart series making a ridiculously over the top kitchen pizza cutter with ivory & gold trim.
It’s beautiful bullshit that is taken absolutely seriously because the craftsmanship demands it.
Forget fidget spinners, Will has a pizza cutter
Wdym we've already forget about them
if you use it as a fidget spinner it becomes a fingercutter.
Who needs to spin fidgets when you can slice some za
Ok fine I’ll leave it at 69 likes
And when do they cut Pizza with it.
He needs to do, " The worlds fanciest vegetable peeler" next.
And not peel vegetables with it.
World fanciest cheese grater
Gorgeous work.
I can’t help but think if people find this several thousand years from now and talk about it like we do of current tools/weapons we deem as ancient or even just medieval...
“Clearly this tool was made for a very specific purpose and a highly regarded person, the craftsmanship-you can just tell that tons of effort and artistry was put into this piece, probably for somebody exceptionally wealthy and influential. It’s a shame that we will ultimately never know what its true purpose was...”
When Will is cutting into the end cap, you can see where it skipped out and left some marks where the bit skipped out. Makes me feel better that even professionals make mistakes and still make these look so good!
Impressive... Now, can you do something as delicate as a ink dip pen? Damascus pen nib and with steel/wood handle?
Seems like a decent challenge.
👌🏻 very good.!
Andrew Beeco I agree 100% he needs to make a fountain pen, or dip pen!
As a calligraphy artist I would love to see this happen!
Would a damascus nib even work though? It's usually made of gold or soft steel so the nib flexes just right for writing.
@@prototypep4 I don't know, maybe there's someone in Montana who specializes in calligraphy they can get to test it out!
Geez he’s good at the finishing work
Watching him is a joy.
It's all that practice from the zweihander
They dont call him will "handsand" stelter for nothing.
Stunningly beautiful tool. As you said, everything from the gorgeous blade, to the buttons, to the handle, to the walrus ivory and the elegant brass guards, absolutely classic. But, I think I would have liked the twisted gold wire flattened a bit (Of course, that’s just a quibble. It still all looks wonderful).
Will, it really feels like you slowed down and took your time with this build... and the results are a level above with fewer mistakes and wasted material. Nice work!
What could I say?
Gorgeous!!!
The only thing missing was to see it in action.
Yay, finally!
Now make some forge cooked pizza with Black Beard Projects and invite us all over, lol!
Im pretty sure that the fire would one burn it and two probably put a bunch of deadly chemicals in the pizza lmao
Black beard projects has nothing on these boys
Will, I am so stoked for this piece. For some reason it really stood out to me. Its a departure from the regular knife and sword show, yet also really familiar. What a beautiful creation. I look forward to where you guys will go next. Maybe a whole kitchen series? Forks, spoons, plates, bowls, etc. There's a lot of stuff in our daily lives that could use some creative metal/wood work.
Pride in your work is an admirable trait, one that makes you a joy to watch. Keep setting this fine example Will.
Next project: Damascus Cheese Grinder!!!
Yes, i need this in my life
I prefer to grate my cheese
Dont give him ideas
@@Okay1 👀Indeed
You grind your cheese, huh?
Wait, all his fingers are ok at the end of a project... that's an improvement
They were not, though. He cut himself once, though it was minor.
And also didn't cut pizza.
Yeah he got his thumb in the third episode I think.
The craftsmanship is simply amazing. Incredible skill, well done!!!
Will, to make it easier to anneal the gold wire, keep it coiled and loosely twisted together to maintain full contact between the wire coils. Heat on a fire brick. Makes it much more difficult to melt and the wire structurally supports itself so it doesn’t break under its own weight.
Bro you gotta show us it in action. Need to see you cut up a pizza
Right? we got blue balled lol
You never cut a pizza with it though...
Excellent work (and good music)! Fantastic patterned steel, and a fine concept of reversed knife. I especially like the line of braided wire evoking a knife's bevel. Art with a cause! Fantastic!
It's a beautiful piece of work and fantastically over designed for such a utilitarian tool. I love it.
Personally. I'm not a fan of the gold inlay and I suspect it'll tarnish and catch detritus in a kitchen environment, as well as being a pain to clean, but that's my personal taste.
Good job, Will!
same
the cool damascus and the warm gold
realy don't go together
A1BASE That thing will never be in a kitchen. It is a piece of art.
Electric Ave good point. I forgot about that.
It will collect crud though.
My favorite part: Watching the rotary tool work for the endcap inlay, and thinking to myself "man, every damn time I use a burr like that, it invariably gets away from me and gouges a nasty runaway mark”. And sure enough, 08:42, there it is, like clockwork.
Nice to see it also happens to people that are actually good at doing this stuff.
I've fired people for causing mistakes like that on something incredibly expensive. They refused to take responsibility and had no solution for the problem though.
Just gotta slow down mate.. less pressure more control.
@@chevy383jt Usually companies have insurances for when employees make mistakes? At least we do. Though I guess it's more of a requirement when you do work inside server farms and data centers belonging to others, and not so much in hand tool making and such fine detail craftmanship stuff. The insurance premium is quite an expense.
@@madmodders We have insurance as well. The instances that i'm talking about were after the employees had already shown a tendency to make mistakes on other things. After that, we just can't do it anymore.
@Logic Lover Ah, I see. Yeah sloppy persons that don’t acknowledge their repeated mistakes and make no effort to better themselves sucks. Can’t have that, can you.
Beautiful pizza cutter but you really messed up where is the missing footage of it being used
And slicing thrue the pizzabox
That's what I was thinking as well. Where's the actual pizza cutting?
A bit disappointing...
yeah where is the money shot
For it to be used you first have to make worthy pizza, wich is hard, given the quality of the cutter.
Will , That is one of the most beautiful Pieces you have ever made . There are a number of new techniques for you and it turned out like you've done it all before. You are truly an artist / knifesmith. Very well done
I love it when you guys do fancy projects. The attention to detail and fit and finish is very satisfying.
Everyone mad that Will isn’t cutting pizza but I’m just sitting here like that is the most beautiful pizza cutter I’ve ever seen and I wouldn’t want to taint it with pizza sauce 😅
I think that you naming part of the pizza cutter after Isaiah made him happy, because this was the best videography that I have seen in a long time.
Literally the most beautiful piece I've seen on the channel. Amazing craftsmanship Will!
A project anyone would be proud to call their own. Well done. There’s so much heart, perseverance, skill, thought and design in these elements and I’m sure glad you let us share your journey through crafting a beautiful piece!
When you have to go to the jewelry store to clean your pizza cutter in the ultrasonic
Will: hmm... should I make a $5 or $50,000 pizza cutter?
Alec: Yes...now cut my pizza please.
Nice build! FWIW, you can get *perfect* spheres with a piece of hardened steel pipe with an ID the size of the sphere, ground so that the inner edge of the pipe is sharp enough to remove material. As you press and rotate it around the material, anything larger than the desired diameter will be scraped off.
I think Wills work is getting better and better. I'm really enjoying seeing him progress. Keep it up Will, this was some stunning work.
Perfect for cutting mr beasts $70,000 golden pizza

Great job Isaiah and whoever else had a hand in that sequence.

What a legendary piece of functional art. Incredible craftsmanship
Great to see some blackwood being used, I work with it nearly every day it's an amazing timber.
This is probably my favorite thing that either of you has made.
Gorgeous, beautiful, exemplary craftsmanship… but my wife asks, “can I put in the dish washer?”
Nooooooo!
You sure can put it in the dishwasher... once.
Truly amazing work. Nicely done and congratulations to whoever ends up with this piece of art.
Once again, Jamie's feeling for rhythm is fantastic!
Where is the cinimatic money shot? I wanted to see a pizza cut with the fanciest pizza cutter around! 5/7
I cant believe will didn't end by cutting a pizza what a letdown.
Hahah beautiful work as always
Will, your persistence and focus on detail is next level. Keep up that o glorious sanding.
Fantastic build! I love almost every part of this! I could have done without the gold twist inlay, I just think it interrupts the flow of the Tazmanian blackwood, personal opinion. Everything was so well crafted, I love this whole project from start to finish, nice work Will! Now lets all get ready for the sticker shock associated with this piece!
Would've loved an alec reaction. Would've loved for you to order pizza, he comes in - bam. Pizza cutter.
Just sayin'.
Watch him make a fancy display case or have it all prepped to send to a celebrity as a gift, then he comes back in and Alec is cutting the pizza with it.
If that were a gun, it'd be a "safe queen." You need to do the right thing, Will, and cut a metric butt-load of pizzas with it. From a channel that routinely Gallagherizes fruit and 2L bottles upon completion of a project, we expect nothing less for this project.
When craftmanship becomes art.
Amazing work Will!
the craftsmanship on this channel is truly inspiring
let's go ahead and take a chainsaw (oh boy this will be good) file to this (oh never mind)
Jesus christ, this is absolutely amazing! Your handles just get more advanced every time... I love it. Kinda wanna see it cut pizza though XD
This looks so amazing, Will you are a true Master Bladesmith, all that details from the blade to the handle, mastercraftsmenship. Its a pleasure to watch you doing your thing. Thank you for that, please more of it.
Beautiful craftsmanship Will! Really like the handle.
It's my mission in life to find a pizza worthy of this knife.

Cutting a thin strip off the sanding/grinding paper was brilliant. I'd never seen anybody do that before.
Turned out great. I could picture abalone shell inlayed in the walrus ivory butt inlay to bring a snap of color with a damascus-like pattern.
"I'm going to carve out a recess in the butt of the handle where a fossilized ivory butt-plate will go, ~ and that is where the gold wire will sit at the end" Oh ok, so there building a super nice display sword or something right? Nah, that's for our Damascus pizza cutter...... -__-
A 5 part series and we don’t even get to see him cut a pizza.
Simply exceptional work man. Unbelievable craftsmanship. Your attention to detail is exquisite!!! Thank you.
The details on that piece is just out if this world ! What an amazing work you did ! Probably one of the best things I have seen being forged by someone.
Will Tassy Blackwood is a fantastic wood, I use a lot of it as an Aussie. Mostly for woodturning. The catching the light as you put it, is chatoyance, and Blackwood is famous for it.
