Love my Home Hubs, have them in both of my offices. They are plenty loud enough and the displays are just the right size for being on a desk and the lack of a camera is a plus, not a minus in my opinion.

I like how everyone is so worried about privacy as they're posting their current meals, and bowel movements of said meal. Or when they're on vacation. Or walking their dog.
i don't post that i walk around naked in the morning, however this camera will show this

I like my Hub Max so much I am now hoping for a 7" version with a camera.
Probably a 8 inch version coming after the echo show 8 announced.

Our phones have been listening to us the whole time and also they have multiple cameras.
I actually want this bc of the camera. So when I’m away I can keep an 👁 at my apt.

YoungBlaze You can set it up so it alerts you when it sees movement. From there, you can take that video or picture to the po-po.

I wish they would fix the Nest Hub to be able to control basic on/off switches like the actual app. From my app I can turn on and off each individual switch in a room grouping. However on my nest hub I can only adjust brightness of bulbs and turn off or on the entire room. They should make the best hub work just like the app on controls like that.
From it's product page: Stream from your apps with Chromecast built in. If chromecast is built in to the Google Nest Hub Max shouldn't you be able to play Netflix and all other services that's supported by chromecast?
I bet you could cast netflix to it, it's just not natively supported to say, run it on its own. So a voice command like "play Netflix/(whatever netflix exclusive)" wouldn't work to start Netflix on the hub (maybe a chromecast elsewhere), but if you told your phone to cast Netflix to the Hub it would start displaying your show.
I wish they would make the UA-cam app on it easier to navigate
I've got the speakers in every room of my house bar the bathroom. I've just bought my first Nest Hub and it's superb. In the UK it's on sale for £59 and the Nest Hub Max is £199. However, the standard one is so good I kinda regret buying it and not saving up for the Max version.
Would you say the video calling quality is a bit blurry ?
In my opinion, the most important thing that should be on these screens is monitoring home cameras, and for some reason this function is not there.
So I want this .. why?

You can stream Netflix, Disney etc on your smart displays after connecting it to Google home/assistant
All they would hear in my place is me playing PUBG and smashing tinder dates.
A sound review with binaural mics would be great.

You can cast Amazon music through your phone and then use your voice but that just adds another unnecessary step.
@@skullcrusher_1 yes, thanks. I have a Bose speaker that is hooked up via bluetooth to an Echo, but the Bose is an old speaker and the bluetooth was an ad on instead of native. The connection is not reliable and I have to tinker with it all the time. I want a fairly big sound possibility.
So you signed up and use music services that are as closed as you can get? then you expect them to work with other services? Why in the world do you use walled music services? Seems foolish to me...

I have the original Nest Hub, and One of the things I like about it is exactly not having a camera. Not buying a Max anytime soon.

I shall probably write a 2-3 months review. I am proud of buying echo show as my kitechn tv but still figuring it out.
But you can just cast Netflix to the nest hub. Using your phone for browsing for a movie is way quicker and simpler.
Would be cool if it was synked with a folder in my phone, so when ever i move new photo to that folder it will be screensaver/ frame on the nest hub
You can use the Google Home app on your phone to set the "ambient" display settings for this display and any Chromecast Ultra connected to an HD or 4K TV or monitor. You can create photo albums in Google Photos for certain people that Photos recognizes and set the album to auto add new photos. You can then add one to many albums in the "ambient" settings for each device and all your displays will become digital photo frames.

What is the point in having Netflix or Hulu on it when you can watch them on your TV? Too small of a screen. Also yes privacy is important to me. These smart assistant things are creepy to me.
NintendoFanBoy07 it’s a fun screen to have on a office table for instance I do video editing so I like the fact I can watch tutorials on a screen while I use my lab top lab top and watching tutorial would be annoying
I'm buying this to replace my bedside alarm clock and I'm definitely going to watch some videos on it before going to sleep. Sure it's smaller than a tv, but bigger than my phone which I use in bed.

How would you compare the speaker quality of this in comparison to a standard Google Home?
The Nest Hub (non-Max) has audio quality comparable to a Google Home Mini. Would you say this is as good as a regular Google Home? Better or worse?
Way better at highs as the mini is terrible when at max volume
But if you want good audio with your Google assistant just get the Google home max

@@coreyvidal it does. It's actually better sound compared to the regular Home. The Nest Hub Max has two smaller speakers, and one subwoofer speaker.

basically Routine interface have to be more user friendly.:). Who will bring whats app feature on this AI platform.? Intercom feature for Amazon is still better.
I think this model is best to keep in the Living Room, while for other rooms, the regular Nest Hub is better. I must say tho, the Nest Hub is sick.

This is such shoddy reporting. There's literally a checkbox when you activate the thing to let Google improve the product, you're acting like it's some big scary secret thing they do that no one knows about.

@@Contreezus well... Its not a tablet, it's a different product. Its purpose if well defined in the smart home ecosystem. Lenovo has some new tablets that can kinda do both, check them out.

You can set the Google Nest Hub to understand and/or speak many other languages with the Google Home app
Echo Show is a crap product. Stay on the Google ecosystem. There is a lot more utility.

I hate it, not a Smart-things competitor at all, can't connect z-wave or zigbee devices to it. Not a smart home HUB. I prefer to use my phone.

This might have changed recently, but that is absolutely incorrect. It's $6/month for video storage to make them act as security cameras. Live video is free.

I have one of these coming and thanks to it being Christmas it's taking FOREVER. The privacy think for me is a joke, and just Twitter storm fodder as far as I'm concerned. If I were rich and famous maybe I would give it some attention. I hope to use it for a motion detector in the living room by the front door when it gets here and I will have the smaller version upstairs by the bed. I like the timer for when I'm cooking, the news in the morning, after I deleted CNN, and the picture frame for my grand kids pictures. If someone wants to try and get ransom money out of me for running around in my underwear, let them try.

It can run web apps (progressive web apps) with voice integration. Or basically interactive canvas apps.

Can't I just use a REGULAR TABLET and a Blutooth Speaker -- and get exactly the same results as these stupid things? Its really difficult to reach this thing to swipe when its on a shelf across from my kitchen counter. Would be easier if I could just pick up the Tablet portion rather than the whole unit, to zoom in and read small print or change a setting. Being fixed to a speaker is backwards. Likewise, how come Regular Tablets can get Netflix and EVERYTHING, but these stupid devices cant?!?! BACKWARDS, BACKWARDS, BACKWARDS. You all talking about the Camera -- when its obvious these things are totally stupid. Just get a USB speaker stand with Blutooth, and put a 10" Tablet on top. You'll have everything/anything you can load onto it.
worst buy. I have the MINI and the HUB. The second does not interact with Brazilian Portuguese. I created expectations for satisfaction with the MINI.

No Netflix for it as well. Also TuneIn and iHeart work on Google's Assistant platform. He said they didn't, which was wrong on his part.

nah the audio quality of little google/nest hub is mediocre at most. I have Google Home, Mini and Hub, the Home sounds nice, you can play almost 100% vol and its still nice with bass and all, the mini is weak, higher volume is like no bass, ok for listening google answers but definitely not very good for music, the (small) hub is great as it has the display, but the sound is more like the mini, its weak.
