These devices are nice but only problem with this is the resolution of the display. I have the older model but it's not worh it to actively watch a video but watching a stream in a background this is awesome. Would like to buy the max version if the resolution would be at least 1080p. Would make my current tablet setup useless and just work.
After using sleep sensing for a while, now I actually know how many times I fart during the night, when my AC cuts on and off, and how many times my dog barks in his sleep as Google records that as snoring. I also know how many times I hit the snooze button as Google translates that into coughing.
Got one to try it and the next day I ordered another one for my kitchen. Use the clock,timer,radio,stream TV to it and so on, does all it prommis and it costs like my old radio/clock.

I think it sounds very wasteful having it sat there on all day when I'm at work or out the house in general. Otherwise it's perfect for what I want.

It's still not possible to monitor multiple cameras at once, which you can do in the Home app on your phone or tablet. So why not on the Nest hub? Surely, it's just a software thing?

Aye, but you can beat them at their own game. For instance I order phones on contract if they have headphones or.. Google nest max as free gifts, then I return the phone within 14 days if I don't like it but they never ask for the free gifts back...lol

No motion sense on/off or anything? I can’t find anyone else with this problem in the web so my last chance is asking here before I send it back. We use version 1 of the hub a lot every day. If this would have been a massive improvement I would have purchased it, but it seems the UI is still a bit choppy, it’s still not nearly as “fluent” as it should be, imo. So not much of an upgrade it seems...
This response is late but if you long press the volume rocker, hold it and Google will say something like “you’re about to factory reset your Google device” and then release when prompted or when you see it restarting.
Fancy, device but am not to sure that I would like to be handing that much information about myself to who knows what, ps, that device is not that big so I ask, how much is my phone spying on me about?
Check your own Google data buddy. It's an eye opener. They knew me better than I know myself 8 years ago. Then there is GCHQ/NSA who aggregate all your data and profile you (was a contractor once). I've given up worrying about it, but it is...inevitable.

The 1st nest hub is getting worse every week. You have to literally say OK Google up to 3 times to wake it up and the responses are even worse. Terrible device, don't believe all the reviews.
Bought a Philips wake up light alarm for £180 a few years back 🤣🤣 it does fuck all besides alarm and I could have got two of these and a Google nest on top

The AEC has nothing to do with the mics. Music it plays is cancelled by AEC how the mics work with 3rd party noise is another matter
