Imagine if all the Phoenix lords had a Phoenix gem. What a concept
I hope it happens in the codex. In the lore, they lead a unit and if they are mortally wounded, they pull the soul out of a fellow aspect warrior, to regain health. So how about, "While leading a unit, if this model dies, instead remove a model from the unit." Basically, it would make them immune to precision and be true to the lore.

Harpster on eldar is always pretty funny and interesting. It feels like a space marine chapter master trying on a pointy hat
I’ve had great success with a troupe + troupe master in a falcon coming out. 21 attacks hitting on 3s with +1 to wound plus dev wounds rerolling wounds, then the 6 attacks from the troupe master hitting on 2s with all the same spice. I could be wrong because I don’t play at a super high level but again, I’ve had great success with this
Great video guys! Unit tier lists are always my favorite, and the new icons are the most legible you've had. I would only suggest having the actual list on screen more for people to see. Thanks for the content!
On windriders its worded the same way as some necron FAQ have been answered and you're correct that you get reroll 1s on closest target or if your target is on an object you get full rerolls regardless of it being closest or not. Obviously ask TO's and confirm.

lighting is off in this video guys. And you really should always have the tier list and maybe the data sheet visible
I think the biggest reason you’re not seeing some of the units like fire prisms is there extremely hard to come right now. Personally, I don’t have three tanks to even proxy as them because I can’t even get waves serpents where I live.

I thi k the pictures are great and pretty easy to identificere on mobile, but the font is terrible. Needs to be much sinpler even if it is less thematic.
Also, a question. I refusion to by the non-updayed aspekt warriors which mens spiders and hawks are a no go. What are my best options for secondary scoring in that case?
I would really appreciate time stamps for every unit very much. I can't watch the whole video in one piece due to time reasons and it is inconvenient to try and hit the part where you talk about a special unit I am interested in hearing your opinion about. Otherwise great job :)
It's so frustrating that creating content is one of the aspects of this job and this really simple feature is often left to fans.

As Speed says, he is part of the team and does the time stamps a bit after a live video so it won't be immediate, but within a couple hours of release, which feels reasonable for live streams.

In my opinion I think wave serpent could be higher. I always get a ton of value out of it with a bright Lance and a Catapult. I use it to deliver 2 units or fire dragons and fugen to where they can do work. It's great to safely get them into melta range and clog a lane or body blocking for my dragons. I have about 50 games of 10th under my belt and I honestly feel naked without one. My local meta is indirect heavy with lots of whirlwinds and plague burst crawlers and guard and knights and it offers a lot of protection for my units.
Totally disagree about the Warlock Conclave. I successfully ran a 4-man conclave with Eldrad at Cherokee and placed 29th, losing to the 5th place player by 1 point in round 4. 4 Warlocks are 120 points. Warp Spiders are 115. WL are 2 wounds each with 4+ Invul save. They have -1 to the wound roll and 4+ FNP vs Psychic attacks. Thus, they are more durable. They are better in melee with witch blades. They have 4 D6 Torrent S5 AP -1 1 Dmg weapons. They protect Eldrad and have enough durability and fire power to be aggressive in your backfield.
Great vid! One question: how does the windrider Unit consistantly kill 2-3 units a turn? Through split fire or overwatch or What do you guys mean? You dont want these guys charging so id say they kill one Unit and Them maybe sometimes they kill two.

I don't hate the sit down, but we gotta be able to see the tier list at all times. If I glance at the screen, I can't see where they're putting stuff unless it's in the short window they show the tier list

great analysis. I am a bit surprised by the Shinning Spears though, even with the drop in points, I think they aren't that good, yet.
Also, I agree with a couple of other comments below, keeping the tier list all the time in the creen would be helpful.

With Visarch actually being a former "Leader" of a Incubi Shrine in Lore, it would be awesome and lore friendly to have him and Yvraine to join Incubi which would be a upgrade to any of the units they already can attach to.

Where are shadow spectres after the nerf?
Criticism to improve can be disheartening when more work is suggested. I hope this reads as helpful, not, "YoU nEeD tO Do mOAr!" :) The font presently used is all caps, and of an angular (cool, though!) nature that the letters look similar to each other. A different font with lower case letters will be easier to read. Though boring, Arial, Times Roman, even Comic Sans are easy reads. Also, using the dice box view, maybe inserted between the chairs/presenters, the data card being discussed could be added to display. The camera operator could just physically swap each one out as units are discussed. BTW, Quinton's efforts on the icons is really good. :) I am very glad to have joined up!
It would also be nice if the unit being talked about showed up visually when showing the couch.
Love the Avatar too, glad he saw a lot of play this edition. But at this point the problem is, if he is the only though think with multi wounds on the board he is just a lighting rod but in a bad way.
Oh, and he is very vulnerable to tankshock... a dreadknight on average does the full 6 MWs if I remember correctly. And then he kills the avatar from full life with that and his melee. Kinda hard to justify taking him, when a half costed model can do that to him with 1 cp.)
Now they are the same kit, I really hope defender guardians would get some special weapons. A second heavy weapon would be interesting, but would need a redo of the kit. which won´t come without a kill team box.
I’d like to know what they think of shadow Spectres now that they jumped in points… I’m finding that swooping hawks and warp spiders have taken over as kings for our troop choices, and shadow Spectres are left in the dust

Personally I am pretty down on them, after all the nerfs :D We basically don't care about fate dice anymore and build our lists without anything that can really use them.
Same with mastercrafted. Everything that it was good on got nerfed so much that it is now a nice bonus for Fuegan and the Wayleaper, but pretty inconsequential on all the MSU stuff. And despite that we are running MSU.
I love the discussion on the solitaire being way too easy to kill. Last game I had him blitz about 30” into a dark angel Infiltrator squad. Should be an easy kill right? Nope. Bad hit roll and failed rerolls got 7 total wounds in. Then opponent made 5 saves and a fnp, so he killed a whole dude. Then he died to their sad little hits back. It was kind of amazing.
I think I am the only person to win an event in 10th ed running pure Harlequins, at a TLM 32 player RTT event at Layton in December. It is not a good army, but it has some obnoxious tricks still. Excellent secondary play, good primary deny.
Aeldari Codex should have a Harlequin detachment, that requires your army to only feature harlequin keyword to use. Phantasm should go back to its original form, and be part of this detachment for harlequin units only. Stealth should be default on their datasheets. Shadowseer needs a full rework. Bring back rising cresendo, advance fall back shoot & charge. Add a cloud of flies strat. Add a re-roll shutoff strat. Add a jump into strat reserve strat. Give troupes +1 damage on the charge. Done, now they are solid.

Quentin feels very loud, jack very quiet. I think they're both wearing mics but maybe Jack's isn't on? 2/10 for audio honestly. Also no timestamps? I don't think this was a live video so I can't see why this isn't done? Really wanna watch the content but it's actually difficult to watch when I have to struggle to listen to one person and the other is distant and quiet.

If 1 Troupe+Yvraine+Visarch is like 80% as effective as 12 troups+Y+V, what are your thoughts on 4 Troups+Yvraine+Visarch in a Falcon? +1 To wound, re-rolling in melee, but Yvraine re-rolls wounds in shooting as well.
You can't take 4 Troupes in A Falcon, you have to meet the minimum unit size. In that case it's better to just have Visarch+Troupe as a melee Falcon threat, but it's still kinda inefficient points-wise, compared to, say, Striking Scorpions with full rerolls on dev wounds for 65p.
@@Saieden Curious, I can't find where it says you have to take a full unit. It's been talked about for ages where you can pay for a 10-strong unit but only take 9. Thoughts?
@@InmanScott You can do that because the legal unit size (as an arbitrary example) is 5-10, and the points cost is 50 for 5 models, and 100 for 6-10 models (see MFM first paragraph). So you can't take 4 Troupe and attach two characters and put them in a falcon because there is no rule that allows you to add such a unit to your army.

You missed Shadow Spectres and Drukhari units that can be utilized by Yvraine and her Ynarri.
@devotedtodestruction shadow spectres are not in the index. They've excluded everything not in the index, like lynx, warp hunter, etc.
@@Wybrand418 but they are relevant to the meta. Just seems like a big oversight not to include a unit that receives a 10 point increase every time there’s a balance patch.

i've never met anyone that says that eldrad can't flip fate dice, idk why red shirt's upset about that, it's actually a really simple ruling, eldrad has the farseer keyword, that's all there is to it
also dj sucks at overwatch, his ability doesn't work in that phase

Damn, this format is not good, the camera is super far away and most of the screen real estate is taken up by that plain looking studio and ikea chairs. The camera quality is also not very good and there’s basically 0 chat interaction, why even bother streaming this instead of producing a better quality video? The scene you have setup with the tier list on the screen is vastly preferred.
2:33:25 Pilot in the Wraithknight, but also in the Hemlock Wraithfighter and he still hits on 4s. Booo.
What about fuegan with fate's messanger? Makes him pretty damn durable, or just makes his 3 shot shooting really darn good with sustained D3
He can't take it because you can't put enhancements on epic heroes.

Complete ridiculous this codex in comparison ( index) to the rest, its like a younger brother wrote it to beat his brothers and the other indexes had no idea. Thanks for the upload. And with points to balance the army is becoming less and less, just needed the index to be completely re written to be honest. Just look at the avatar..and how everything in eldar has extra ap damage rules the lot. Totally broken, a shame, the amount of ap 3 and 4 you would thik this is still a 9th edition codex !!!
Also eldar players be like " oh man this unit is balanced and does not one shot and win you the game oh man..b tier" haha.
Maybe more damage than other races, but that has always been the Eldar, in return they are card tower when hit by a sneeze
