If I could do it over again, I'd do a small wedding with family only (and a good cake) and spend the rest of our budget on the honeymoon and our home, and I got married pre-pinterest so I can't even imagine the pressure now! so glad you survived COVID. We lost my MIL and BIL in March this year, 6 hours apart.. It was alful. You look really happy and loved hearing about the wedding. Sounds like it was really beautiful. I just finished my first pair of socks using the "Magic Heel" (pattern by The Autumn Acorn). I haven't quite mastered the heel flap and gusset. I hope to conquer it soon. Have a lovely day!

You lucky woman! Your wedding sounded so special and personal. It brings back a particular memory of my wedding, which was done at the Rathaus in Wiesbaden many years ago. As my groom and I (we were both in the Air Force at the time stationed there) entered the building, a dear older woman came up to me and grabbed my hand and wished me, in German, many happy blessings. It meant so much to me. We had to have a state certified translator to make everything all legal. Our landlords of the apartment we were renting, allowed us to have all our friends back to the house and use their 'gasthaus' for the party. It was wonderful....small, inexpensive, and just perfect, as you said you had. Later that night, I wrote a letter to my parents--this was 1988 and there was no email then--and told them what I had done!

Congrats on the wedding! I know what you mean about not being scared of Covid but being scared to get it before the wedding. I felt like that when my due date came near. Sadly my fear came true and I got covid the day before delivering my baby 😅 your wedding sounds great. Small weddings usually are much nicer then big weddings. And great wedding photo's are the ones capturing the memories, not the posed ones =) Definitly sounds like you prioritized happiness of yourself and guests instead of obligatory moments ❤️
