The yarn reminds me of fuchsias. They often have both of those purple shades on one flower. I think it’s beautiful yarn. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas season. Thank you for sharing your creativity and your beautiful country with us.
Yes, the fuchsia flowers we had in hanging baskets were those colors. They don’t handle very cold weather, so we haven’t had any since we moved away from California.
I would knit a sweater out of the last ball…the blue. My daughter would love the colors. I hope Opal decides to sell some of those colorways. I enjoy your vlogmas, and it’s the only one I have watched the entire season.
Loving to watch your vlogmas as much as I can, it’s so calming during such a busy time 🎄 I want to thank you for sharing the bird box & other items you put together~this idea inspires me to do this for a few special people in my life for next year🎄
Great that you find inspiartion in my videos. It is so difficult to find calm and quiet moments during this season. I am happy my videos help you with that.
That yarn reminds me if irises or petunias. Very lovely colors in all those yarns. I think there's nothing more exciting than receiving yarn in the mail. It's so much fun.
Anna, I am so enjoying vlogmas with you. Each night I look forward to your episode. I settledown with my tea, and knotting or crosstitch. May peace be with you this Christmas time.
Oh how I enjoy your happiness with your new yarns. It makes me happy too. Actually this whole video makes me happy. I would so cast on that red/black yarn. It is intriguing.
The delicate feminine skein put me in mind of a brand Walmart is selling under the Pioneer Woman brand (she is a Food Network personality who lives in Oklahoma). The colors are very similar. I do see rhododendron in the colors of your least favorite but I can also see a coleus as someone mentioned earlier. Benni reminds me of my cats...always wanting a cuddle when I've got my knitting on my lap.
Rhododendron is the same in English, and yes, they come from nurseries! Your purple/green Opal wool reminds me of flag irises, there are so many variations. It will be interesting to see which Opal yarns make it to my lys... :)
Love them all but the blue looks so pretty. I am hoping to learn about bullet journaling from you. I am so overwhelmed by the UA-cam videos, making my head hurt. I want something very simple. I am enjoying your Vlogs more than you will ever know ❤😊
Check out the original videos by Ryder Carrol: ua-cam.com/video/fm15cmYU0IM/v-deo.html He invented this method and keeps it super simple. I also read his book "The Bullet Journal Method" which is really great!
I think the Opal yarn you said was your least favorite is the one I’d pick first. The flower it reminds me of is fuchsia. Someone else mentioned Clematis - I thought of that too.
I love the plum ball!! The red is lovely as well. There are so few red skeins compared to the other colors it seems. I hope you enjoyed your Afghani meal, and I look forward to seeing your new socks :)
What is this beautiful sweater you are wearing. I love the garter stitch collar and the open work. Is it a pattern.. A I am blessed Christmas to you and Thomas and Bennie and your families
Hi Anna, seeing your opening pictures made me think that I would love to show you something. In 2018 I crocheted - all in thread filet crochet - the Divine Mercy. It turned out well but very big - too big to hang in the church where the priest who asked me to make it is based - so it is now up in the Sacred Heart community centre across the road from that church. I am not on Facebook or Instagram so I don’t know how to share the photos with you. I’m sure you would like them. I enjoy your videos so much and feel as though I know you. Thank you. Lin
@@annaknitter Yes, the full picture of Jesus with the rays coming from his heart. It wasn’t difficult - I just followed a chart and had to concentrate a lot. Do you have an email I could send it to you please?
That is funny! In the episode of Columbo yesterday I learned that the medicine digitalis comes from the foxglove. I didn't know that the medicine has the same name as the plant in latin. In German we say Fingerhut ("fingerhat").
I know I heard on one of the podcasts but I just can’t figure out which one it was where you talk about your bullet journal. If you or anyone reading these comments knows which podcast number that is, could you please let me know? Thank you so much!
Do you mean podcast or vlogmas episode? I will upload a video today where I talk a little bit more about the bullet journal. And I will make another video about my new bullet journal set up for 2024 soon.
With the Opal yarns? Oh there is much you can do. You can knit a sweaters, scarves, socks, headbands, hats, mittens, gloves, legwarmers, ornaments and so much more with it.
Delightful! Enjoyed the unboxing of the subscription. Always love watching little Benni.
I'm enjoying your vlogmas posts. You are so calming during this season of busyness.
Thank you!
The first one you pulled out is my favorite, I think. The red one will be exciting to work up! The Christmas color is also beautiful!
It reminds me directly of a clematis flower! So much fun to see how it will knit, I think we will see that in future episodes.
Oh yes, you will. I hope to knit through the intire shipment before the next one arrives. I have 13 weeks to do that.

I love the muted dark colors. Perfect for men's socks.
I would knit a sweater out of the last ball…the blue. My daughter would love the colors. I hope Opal decides to sell some of those colorways.
I enjoy your vlogmas, and it’s the only one I have watched the entire season.
The purple and green reminds me of an african violet plant. So pretty!
I think the purple and green shades opal is like anemone flowers. Or purple crocus. It’s lovely xx
Fuschias Very pretty purple, red, pink flowers. My daughter used to call them ballerina flowers due to their shape.

Thank you that is so sweet!
I loved your expressions when opening the subscription box. The "fire" one sings to me. That one is stunning!
I am s curious how this will knit up!
I would definitely knit on the green and purple Christmas skein
Your yarn reminded me of anemones, very pretty.
I’m so enjoying your Vlogmas and unboxing. Love your sweater!
Love the light green ball. I wish I could get a subscription to opal what a great box to receive.
I love the image of St. Thomas.
I'm going to second the clematis! Gorgeous!
He is my husbands patrons saint. ❤
I can’t decide which colorway I like the best! The purple one reminds me of an Iris.
I love Bennie. He's so good well behaved. Please give him a hug for me.
He sais thank you. ☺
The Opal subscription yarns are so pretty!
I prefer the fire side colours and the purple and green is like a fuschia plant

The one with purple/green etc., made me think of the northern lights, Aurora borealis

Anna, so fun to see you open box. Maybe an Iris.
The Opal Christmas Sock looks like Northern Lights. I love it 😍

Afghani! Thank you, I didn’t know the word. Yes, it was delicious. I enjoy oriental food a lot.
I love the Opal unboxing! What beautiful yarn choices to cast on. I wish we could get the Opal subscription in Canada! ❤
What a fabulous cardigan
Thank you! It is the Feathers in the wind by Joji Locatelli.
We have rhododendrons in the US too (call them the same). I think the yarn reminds me of an Iris flower.
Love Benny!
Merry Christmas
Passion flower
Oh, the purple and green Opal I saw as the flower clematis or hellebore! Please scritch Benni for me!
I think the plum and green skein reminded me of a clematis
I think of hydrangea (Hortensie).

You mean the picture of Jesus? In crochet? Wow, that must be very difficult!

I see foxglove (digitalis) ❤

The new Opal colors are so fun and amazing! What hat pattern would you use for a skein of Opal?
It very much depends on the colorway. But The Skyppy Stripes pattern (Ravelry) goes pretty much with every yarn even if it is very busy.
I think the yarn looks like a coleus plant

How can I join the Opal Sock Club? I live in the USA.
Unfortunately they don't ship the subscription to the US. 😞
What do you make with these?I'm mostly a sweater knitter.
With the Opal yarns? Oh there is much you can do. You can knit a sweaters, scarves, socks, headbands, hats, mittens, gloves, legwarmers, ornaments and so much more with it.
Petunia color
“Meebrengsel” in Dutch? 😂
Yes, that sounds like Mitbringsel. 🙂
