Well, humming 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' would be appropriate, certainly, but given it was composed in 1897 it may not have been written yet. Food for thought; the story of the Sorcerer's Apprentice in one form or another dates to at least ancient Greece but always with the same moral tone, that the use of power/knowledge that is incomplete or poorly understood is likely to be very dangerous if not fatal. The chewy bit is that in the Potterverse, it might have been based on real events.
I too heard the music when I first saw the moving brooms. Also, one of the best mods and the one that pushed me to finally buy this game is the one that removes the incessant self-talk from the player character. It drives me nuts.
Gopher solving puzzles never ceases to both amaze and frustrate me. Sometimes he is way quicker then me, other times he struggles for like half an hour with things i figured out in a minute lol.
That's normal. It usually comes down to how quickly you recognize the actual problem. And that is usually affected by your past experiences and current expectations. eg. I see a bunch of large standing stones, laid out in a ritualistic way, and I think "mystical stones" and start looking for the mystical/ritualistic solution. But if you look at the same large stones and think "jungle gym", you're going to try a more mundane and athletic solution :)
Josh might benefit from increasing the number of his Ancient Magic bars, it’s really useful against the Pensieve guardians. Not that he’s doing at all badly with only two, but five is better than two!

This game and Horizon Zero Dawn; Forbidden West feel like they were made by the same person. Both gate collectables behind abilities you get through plot progression so you see them early but can't get them forever and have to go back to the same place much later, when you have no reason to go back. Both games have redundant abilities that more or less do the same thing. Both games have a scanning feature you have to constantly spam, which wallhacks items for you. Both games have an over abundance of consumable materials you never need. And the worst feature is both games treat players like complete idiots. Both protagonists won't give you 10 seconds to figure out a puzzle before they start giving themselves hints via voicelines, and incessantly repeat them until you do as you're told. Like STFU I want to open the chests before I move forward damn it. FFS Open world exploration RPG-like's should allow you to explore first, plot later. Stop insisting I leave exploration for a postgame exercise. Games like RDR, Witcher 3, Kingdom Come did it right. Newb player: Oh! Cool!
Pro player: Oh, crap.
Oh great.. a boss fountain.
To be fair to Prof Figg, you were told that you have to do these trials alone with no help, meanwhile, he's at home having a cuppa & a hobnob

It's great, because most of the time the character is obnoxious, but other times he gives you the answer like some kind of cheat code.
Unwelcome and early hint prompts are one thing, but gods damned the repeated dialog frequency and this is filled with both.
Why is a necromancer not always a bad guy?
Sometimes, they just want to raise a family in peace.
Thats a good one, one I like is "why did the necromancer hate the pyromancer? Because he razed the dead"
Why are necromancers good morale officers?
They're always raising people's spirits.
Nice try father, mother and child, or should I call you Pinwheel?
always enjoy gopher arguing with himself
that said - i hate this puzzle hint trend in new games and i want to be able to turn it off WITHOUT mods - tho i did turn it off with mods
22:12 that was SO clean!!
@Gopher Loved the Fantasia reference @9:40 :D
@42:26 -- Actually, I was hearing the music from "Enchanted" while envisioning rats washing dishes and birds picking up clutter...anyone else???
"Fantasia" with the army of enchanted brooms...
I assume you haven't seen it. Not quite the same vibe as Enchanted.

I must admit, I was surprised when the totally-not-sus statues did not, in fact, come to life.

The SPLOOSH spell is pretty good.
Gopher: Listens to the game give him obvious hints and ignores them as hard as humanly possible
Well done and thank you bud. Getting developers to make Gopher friendly games is amazing, how do you do it? I guess magic... Take care and be safe. 🙂👍

Funny you just happen to cast revelio on the ancient magic pool that was completely invisible. What coincidence.
You can use Depulso on the platform to move forward

First thing I thought of, too.
Phineas seems way more talkative than my character during those puzzle segments. Did the devs nerf it?
