  • We are leaving the far North part of the North Island of New Zealand. But first we have to see the biggest Kauri tree in the world, where a Maori is singing to the tree. Also, we are meeting up with Mel and Jona from Mel and Jona Travel ( / jonaheterodox . Last but not least we are enjoying a bike ride in Coromandel which is topped by an awesome dinner at Peppertree Restaurant.

    So glad we got to meet up and share a few hours together! Really enjoyed it.
    Hopefully we'll get to do it again at some point in the future 😊👍🏻
    Looking forward to seeing your Hobbiton adventures now - we certainly loved it there.

      Yes, the food was just too good really! Delicious :) It was amazing to meet up, so surreal as well, on the other side of the world really.
      I'm sure we get to meet up in London.. We just drop by every other year :) Looking forward to that burger you promised. :)

    Those Kauri trees were so beautiful! What a peaceful area. And so smart to have a travel van minus the whole back situation. Hopefully it's feeling better! So so excited for Hobbiton.

      Oh yes, the van is so practical, don't have to go looking for a place to sleep every night :)
      The back is much better, we bought a great big pillow :)

    A 2,000 year old tree?! Wow! I hope you guys are safe from the earthquake. And that none of these beautiful trees got damaged. It's so cool that you met up with other bloggers :D New Zealand looks like a great place to visit! I really need to get my butt out there. Oh and that trampoline looks so awesome! Thanks for sharing :)

    Ahaha I cracked up when you guys pronounced Hobbiton with a really pronounced H - sounds like my partner trying to pronounce things with her Jewish accent!! Loved the Maori Tane singing to the Kauri tree - it was so nice to see you share with other people the Maori culture.

      Haha, yeah, sometimes that Russian accent just has to be used :D
      Oh yeah, his singing was so awesome! He has an amazing voice and it was just really special hearing that in the forest there!

    When I see a tree like that it makes me feel small and insignificant. So cool seeing the two cruising around NZ! I know your trip is still young but do you have a favourite stop so far?

    • @SomedayMaybe
      @SomedayMaybe  7 років тому

      It so does! The tree is huge and so old.... And then you think about how short your time on the earth is... We do actually, we both loved our trip to the white island, video coming today... That was just awesome!!!

    New Zealand continues to amaze me, with those visuals.. I have yet to collab, nice job meeting up with Mel and Jona :) A few random Qs: What's it been like adjusting to the other side of the road/steering wheel side AND where do you upload/edit from. Is there data from that RV ?

    • @SomedayMaybe
      @SomedayMaybe  7 років тому

      Yes, it's an awesome place!
      Oh well, it's fine driving on the other side really, after two or three days it feels natural really... Also, we'd both driven in Australia before...
      We have a data plan for our phones so that works in most parts of the country... :)

    Why was he singing to the true? Do you know? Watching you NZ vlogs always makes us so envies. We would love to live there one day. How much did it cost to rent the van? If you don't mind us asking. So awesome that you met up with Mel and Jona.

    • @SomedayMaybe
      @SomedayMaybe  7 років тому

      I think it's just a spiritual thing.... But I don't know what he was singing...
      The van was pretty expensive, in our opinion at least, I think it was close to 1000 EUR a week... But it sure is an awesome time!
