Is there ANYTHING that you are NOT afraid to try! You have got grit my friend💕 which is why I ❤️ watching your channel 👍🏻 This rusting thing isn’t my jam but I still enjoyed watching YOU work this out 😂 You sure did pack that jar FULL of stuff 😂😂
Wow! That worked great! What fun accessories to play with now! Waiting is the hardest part for me 😂 I saw someone do rusted paper, too? I think sprayed on with that solution…hmmm. We need a laboratory in our basements. The green bows look perfect, and that button! (I love it ALL actually) You get a trophy (rusted, of course) for this experiment! 💕🏆
Thank you!! yes, it all turned out really well. Im not great with waiting but I do enjoy a bit of a mystery so it compensates LOL! Rusted paper...interesting. I will look that up. OMG, yes we DO need laboratories in our basements!! That would be so much fun. I am going to try some other bows....cotton bows might be epic. Im also going to use a bit of black alcohol spray on those bows and see what we get. Awwww, thank you!! I accept my rusty trophy (hee hee!!) with much thanx!! Hugs xo
So, so, cool! This was a rounding success! Does any of the rust come off or wear off the items if you touch them too much? The bows and cotton flowers turned out so great!
Thank you! The rust does flake off a bit yes, but I am going to use them in a way where I am not using them a lot, if that makes sense. It won't remove the rust colour but the tiny flakey bits will sort of slough off.Yes, the bows and tiny flowers are the winners for sure :)
Great result. I can imagine the smell must of been quite revolting. If you left the ribbons and fabric together with the other items while they were drying they may of grunged up more like the green ribbons. Would you say that fabrics look more grunged up by soaking in coffee? Thank you for experimenting for all of us. I would love to know what would of happened if you left the lids on the jars. Does anyone out there know any scientists they could ask? I will be staying tuned for your next mad scientists adventures.😜😂
Thanks Anita! The smell was pretty strong I have to admit and opening up a window would have helped for sure. I was thinking the same thing about leaving the fabric as I did w the bows. I watched a few videos last night about rusting on paper and fabric and yes, it seems that would work. Im going to try it on some cottons as cotton will absorb the best (or linen maybe if I have some scraps). I wasn't prepared for just HOW much more everything rusted after the 24 hour mark. Im going to ask a carpenter I know for some rusty metal that he lying about in the garage. Omg....I was afraid the jar would implode!!! I will ask my doctor friend...that is as close as I can get to a scientist LOL! Ill do a fabric rust video once I work out some of the details. Thanks for being here with me! :)
Fantastic! Thanks Polly! Now that we can start taking projects outside to dry, I will do that. Oh me too LOL! I need more patience ;) Thanks for watching and thanks for the tip :)
Hi i enjoyed your Video.. You definitely don't like doing math You put in three cups of vinegar and it's supposed to be two to one then it should have been one and a half cups of peroxide. Lol not one cup. But hey who's counting as long as it works lol

Next time, take rusty metal and lay it on your lace. It will stain the lace. It's so fun to rust stuff. I find waiting is the hardest part as well.❤
