I love rust, I love recycle, I love collagepapers, I love a grungy look and I love not being able to controll the outcome. So don't you think I love this? ❤❤❤ Thank you so so so so so much for this video. Now I know what to do with all my rusty pieces lying around 😊😊
So happy about seeing a video of you!!! I had just been thinking about how long it was since the last one.... And rusty grungy papers surely hit a sweet spot of mine! Thank you, hope all is well! 🙏🧡
These papers are absolutely fantastic!!!!! I am purchasing your digital Rusty and deep rusty collections however, I wonder…do you ever sell the actual papers? I’d be very interested in purchasing some! Thank you for sharing this wonderful video!!!!!
Thank you Grunge Queen. Thank you for asking. I’ve been creating a bunch of hand painted originals that I will be selling in the near future. I must first scan them for digi kits though. I will announce here on my channel just as soon as I list them. ☺️
I just found your channel and I LOVE it! Quick question - does the acrylic paint seal your rusty bits so they no longer rust your substrates? I adore rust. My husband and grandson bring me rusty bits all the time. It is better than Christmas!
Thank you Charie. No, I just put them in a pan, and keep re-using them. You can accumulate some dust so it’s wise to always wear a mask and gloves. Plus I also stay current on my tetanus shot just to be safe.
Kory, I LOVE this look and the technique seems simple and to the point. Thank you so much, for this really simple technique, that looks so much more involved! And for this demo, you just used copy paper, correct? Thanks so very much, Kory!
Great question Sky Queen! Yes they do. When you water them down to an inky consistently, they color the rusty bits, but only slightly. Plus I haven’t had any problems reusing them for more rust. They of course also make fabulous embellishments. ☺️
This is a really cool process. Do you know how well these will hold up over time? The fact that most archival materials are acid free makes me wonder what effect adding the acetic acid (vinegar) has on the paper over time. Also does the color continue to change over time? I'm guessing that if these were incorporated into a larger piece using something like acrylic medium to fully encapsulate them, it may delay or negate some of the effects.
Great question! I haven’t seen the paper change or degrade over time. When I collage stuff like this, I go over top with matte medium to seal it. You may have some issues, I don’t know for sure. I scan papers like this, so I can print them at a later time if needed. I get it though, there’s nothing like the originals. I haven’t had any problems. ☺️
JUST AMAZINGLY YUMMY! I found a piece of rusty "something" on the ground, while walking down the road. It was shaped like a feather!
Oh wow! I look at finding feathers as a sign from the universe that I’m loved and on the right track. Thank you for sharing that with me cowgirl Jane!
Wow. Another amazing technique! Now I’ll be on the lookout for some rusty bits. Or LOTS of rusty bits! Love these videos. TFS
Thank you so much!
This technique creates really great papers. Enjoy! ☺️
This was great! I will have to start looking for rusty bits. Hugs ❤️❤️❤️

@@KorysArtCafe Thank you so much: I look forward to it!!!!!
Love it!
Thanks Linda. ☺️
These are awesome Kory! What paper did you use? Thx
Thx Patti!
I used printer paper on these. Thick enough for good prints, thin enough for collage.
I just found your channel and I LOVE it! Quick question - does the acrylic paint seal your rusty bits so they no longer rust your substrates? I adore rust. My husband and grandson bring me rusty bits all the time. It is better than Christmas!
Thank you Tammy! I adore rust too! The paints are really watered down, but yes, it can block some of the rust.
Kory's Thanks for this demo realy enjoyed the beautiful outcome, My question is do you clean the rusted items after the paints has dried, if so how?
Thank you Charie. No, I just put them in a pan, and keep re-using them. You can accumulate some dust so it’s wise to always wear a mask and gloves.

Thank you Lynn.
Yes, I used copy paper.
Oops, I should’ve said that in the video. Happy paper creating! ☺️
I love this finished look but I’m just a bit curious to know whether the acrylic paint adheres to your rusty pieces?
Great question Sky Queen!
Yes they do.

Have you tried do the same to the backs of the pages to have a two sided page for journals
I haven’t but it would work beautifully. ☺️
That’s the great thing about rust and acrylic paint. They both stay put.
This is great. I gotta try. What weight paper did you use?
On these I just used average printer paper.
Nothing expensive or fancy.
The key is waiting for them to dry because they can tear easily when wet. ☺️🎨
Curious what type of paper this was done on?
This is done on regular printer paper. Oops, I forgot to say that in the video. ☺️
@@KorysArtCafe I thought so but wasn’t sure
What kind of paper?
Plain old printer paper.
I really must remember to say this in the videos. 😳🤣
🤩👍👍👍💕💕💕🇩🇰
