  • With multiple Emmys (nominated again for “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”), and a recent Tony Award, Tony Shalhoub may be loved by us all, but here he explains how the youngest of ten children makes it out of Wisconsin alive, let alone has a shot in the big leagues of showbiz. Oh, and “Mrs. Mailsel.”

    I own every season of Monk on DVD. It is truly one of my favorite T.V. shows. Thank you Tony Shalhoub so many great years of entertainment.

      Yeah, that show is great on so many levels. I enjoyed psych as well, very funny, but the mysteries in monk were much better.

      Dude I own every season of of Psych too. I also have every season of Burn Notice and the Fall of Sam Axe movie. And while this isn't a USA network show I'm only missing the 1st season of Leverage.
      Burn Notice, Psych, Monk, and Leverage are my four favorite shows, and I made a point of supporting each of them by buying the them on DVD. I highly recommend watching them if you haven't seen any of them.

    Very special voice of Tony Shalhoub. Sounds like silk.

    I've gotten use to the non-visual (still miss putting names to faces) but this was a tragedy to not see Tony Shaloub tell his stories. Monk was one of the best portrayals ever on TV.

    I had relatives that had parents and 9 kids in an even smaller town, (Wednesday was Spaghetti night, even though we aren't Italian, Uncle made pancakes after church) and was one of those who hung out and adored the chaos, so I related to Tony's family stories. A very entertaining 80 minutes.

    I note that the infamously hard-to-please theater critic John Simon said Shalhoub was "amazing" and "winning" in the play "Act One"

    Been waiting for this for a long time. Thank you both for making it happen. I want to say that I agree with Tony: Kevin should do a play. If he's lucky, maybe his mustache will fall off.

    It's remarkable how often Kevin steers the conversation to himself and the time he spends relating his own experiences. Tiresome sometimes.

    In this listeners humble opinion I think there needs to be a Chat Show channels and the good Mr. Levine should get his own show. Two great chat shows that taste great together.

    This is evidenced by the NEW inane programming (Kennedy Center "Honors"?!?!) that my elderly mother enjoys.

    Talks about Kevin Spacey's past but conveniently left out Bryan Singer's behavior that was in the news recently.

      No theater of the mind for you, huh? Imagination is such a hassle.
      The audio only can make you focus more on what's being said, appreciate more... a deeper dive. You also tend to retain more. All of this presumes the guest is interesting enough to begin with, of course ;)
      Rogan's great. Try listening to him with a bluetooth headset, and your phone in your pocket. See how long you last.

      @cylonred8902 6 років тому

      That is how the show started but they found that more people listened to audio only, not to mention they have to deal with a real club (where they show the show) and deal with his shooting schedule for movies and streaming shows.

    • @joeychgo
      @joeychgo 6 років тому

      Yeah, most people on youtube dont watch the video. Bullshit

    • @jmr5707
      @jmr5707 6 років тому

      @@joeychgo - well.... it CAN be an audio source. It's where a lot of people get their music, now. It's just easier, too. Put on the headset, dop the phone in the pocket & go about your routine. Video's only really important in podcasting if they have somebody good looking on, provided they actually look GOOD that day... too many of this shows guests don't put in the time, or seem to care. Beyond the eye candy, it might be overated.
