Reason # 1,378 why I've come to appreciate Internet shows more than most television shows lately. Enjoy these types of frank discussions without all of the pomp (and commercials for E.D.).
I was thinking that the other day. You don't get TV shows where two intelligent guys have an interesting conversation for an hour. It wouldn't rate well - the ignorant masses don't want it.
I never ever sit this long to watch people talking and I hardly ever even watch movies but I knew Craig Ferguson was somebody worth watching and I have some time. Now he just inspired me to get crackin' on my science fiction short stories and I really related to what he was saying about the discipline of short stories. I think I'm in love.
I really miss Craig Ferguson! Just imagine him coming on TV after the late show? I think America would take a collective deep breath and just laugh at the absurdity of it all.
Michael Bast I love Craig's LLS and I love Colbert, but I actually really don't think I'd like to see them in succession. It just wouldn't gel for me. Letterman was different.
I love this show for its laughter and for being so down to earth. Thank you for making a very rough and stressful week easier to handle. Laughter is truly the best medicine.
Ok. I was really upset that I hadn’t known about this chat show before this week (we’re in May 2020 now), but I’m actually thankful now that I stop to think about it. What a perfect time to discover this treasure trove ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼 #ThankYou
I've always liked Craig Ferguson...Now I REALLY like him!...And the fact that he doesn't give two shites whether I like him or not, makes me like him even more!!!:)
I'm beginning to start to consider thinking that maybe perhaps and/or possibly you might be on to something like a path or journey or even a voyage that ends with you having something not unlike what one or another could call under the right circumstances...a point!:)
I love KPCS. It's better than any talk show you can find on television. I love Craig and still miss him every weeknight at 12:30. Thank you Kevin for doing this so well
What a great interview. I just recently found Craig Ferguson on UA-cam. I was raising kids during his entire late show and never saw a single one or heard of him. I grew up on David Letterman and loved him. Now I wish I would have known about Craig because I really love the shows. Better late than never I guess.
Chad Christian Letterman's rise in late night was before my time, he was already the elder statesman by the time I was old enough to watch but its fascinating to see how he revolutionised the format and just how influential he was. Craig doesn't get the recognition that Letterman did but I feel like Craig's work was like a spiritual successor to what Letterman was all about in the early days. Like he pushed the boundaries even further, in the same way Letterman had before him.
i am inspired! i am getting closer to the end of this interview and so far am recognizing, this interview just keeps getting better and better. thank you thank you......
Mr. Ferguson is the type of American we were meant to be: Honest in the good and bad of his beliefs, Passionate in the right versus wrong of the human condition, and Humble regarding his own flaws. I wish that for him, only for him, we could elect a President that was not born an American...I would vote for him. He is a descent man.
Craig is so clever, modest, handsome, genuine and Scots. Love him most because of his lack of ego and he doesn't have a phoney bone in his body. Welcome back to Scotland lad. ♥️ 🥰 😍
I never got Kevin before I took the time to listen to him. I had no opinion either way. Now I have a deep respect. I hope to see him perform some day. Great job team helping Kevin put out this fun and, to me, compelling content.
This is my 3rd time viewing/listening to this interview. I love this episode! I've listened to it twice on the Stitcher app, and now I'm here to watch what I've listened to. I'm a fan fan fan! (Plus, Kevin and I played pool on the "Truth or Consequences, NM" movie shoot once so I'm in for the long haul, baby!)
56.30ish. Spot on, Craig. Love and discipline are opposite sides of the same coin. Time more parents learned that we're parents with responsibility to raise the next generation. Not superannuated children who are just here to be teens or pre teens forevermore.
we need craig ferguson as he is in this interview: no bullshit -- we need this man in our lives because he is a perfect (imperfect = perfect in this case) vehicle for expressing the common sense sentiment. I love him and I tune in to hear/see anything out of his mouth because he is a good person. bottom line, he is a good person (flaws and all) and he is very bright and entertaining. I respect him. Thanks to Kevin Pollak for making these chats happen -- they bring joy to my life!
I learned in Catholic school that the camel passing through the eye of a needle is actually a reference to some gates that a camel would have to pass through but they would have to be unloadedof their cargo and so it was a metaphor about men unloading their worldly goods before entering the kingdom of heaven.
I enjoy your show via UA-cam and the requisite VPN needed to watch it here in Beijing, China. Only discovered Craig Ferguson after he already left Late Night as I've been over here for nearly 20 years and kind of out of touch with what's on TV in the US or pretty much anywhere else. I binge watched every one of Craig's LLShows I could also on UA-cam. Unlike most TV I enjoyed his show and was sad to see him retire from that show.
I’m from his home town and get the upper classes thing. Not that it’s exclusive to us at all of course. But unlike Craig age hasn’t softened my prejudice, likely due to my horizons not being broadened as much Craig’s. Point being I resent the upper classes and resent myself for holding that prejudice.
He looks like one of those guys my Grandpa used to play cards with at the bar. All the old boys back then wore these "utility greys" like they all worked for the power company or city shop but had no labels on em.
I will watch fuckin anything with Craig Ferguson in it. He's one of the best "celebrity" ever. Too poor to have Netflix, so here I am watching him talk sitting down. I know for fact he will make it interesting anyways. Long live hobos! Balls.
(43:37) Can someone explain to me what Ferguson meant by "wrote me a joke th- 'wrote me a joke'. " Is he just saying that it was a stolen well-known joke?
I can’t reconcile the punk references with the patriotism, it just doesn’t mesh. I love Craig, he’s so refreshing as a talk show host, and so handsome, but don’t think I’ll delve into his seemingly Libertarian POV in his books.
Let me get this straight: you've got lav mikes and the sound is picked up by a cell phone or something? Check your cables, guys. Otherwise, great human interaction at the "celebrity" level, as always. Glad I've discovered your show, Kevin. And love your main squeeze, too, whynot :) Brains, man... brains... that's always where the highest electricity happens. Keep up the good work!
Amen on the you're an American comment!..worst thing in comedy to preach a pro political side..its comedy..we all want to laugh!..thank you Craig Ferguson!!
Yup I know this vid has been available a while but thankYOU for pointing out that none of the accepted views of possible futures are close to the expanse of ways of thinking about poss-i-ble futures. If I don't continue either this me life I long for all others to continue seeing beyond the emaciated status quo. IX
Great to hear Craig describe patriotism so succintly and correctly...and he's Scottish.
I enjoyed this so much! Man, I really miss Craig Ferguson on late night.
Reason # 1,378 why I've come to appreciate Internet shows more than most television shows lately. Enjoy these types of frank discussions without all of the pomp (and commercials for E.D.).
Interested in the first 1,377 reasons.
Class action lawsuits if you've taken these boner pills.

I was thinking that the other day. You don't get TV shows where two intelligent guys have an interesting conversation for an hour. It wouldn't rate well - the ignorant masses don't want it.
It's the real 'reality tv'.
Love Craig Ferguson! Thanks for having him back on. Outstanding stuff!
I was going to comment that, wow !! We should make a club of how many fantastic people this guy inspired
I really miss Craig Ferguson! Just imagine him coming on TV after the late show? I think America would take a collective deep breath and just laugh at the absurdity of it all.
he did come back to tv after the late show.
Michael Bast Dude, watch join or die, it's great, and it's all Craig. Sadly, no Geoff...
Why doesnt have his own podcast
Michael Bast I love Craig's LLS and I love Colbert, but I actually really don't think I'd like to see them in succession. It just wouldn't gel for me. Letterman was different.
Gah, I think I'd explode if I adored Craig more. He's just so goddamned fabulous!
omg , yes !
The last few things Craig said were really powerful. Very good stuff.
I love this show for its laughter and for being so down to earth. Thank you for making a very rough and stressful week easier to handle. Laughter is truly the best medicine.
Thank you so much for asking about Between the Bridge and the River. Such a lovely novel.
Ok. I was really upset that I hadn’t known about this chat show before this week (we’re in May 2020 now), but I’m actually thankful now that I stop to think about it. What a perfect time to discover this treasure trove ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼 #ThankYou
It is! And jaylenofly UA-cam channel has the best compilation.
I would argue for the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson Archive channel. I think you have to see full shows to truly appreciate Ferguson.
I've always liked Craig Ferguson...Now I REALLY like him!...And the fact that he doesn't give two shites whether I like him or not, makes me like him even more!!!:)
michael mattice i dont care but i like how you care that you like him more when he doesnt care that you like him.... i think
I'm beginning to start to consider thinking that maybe perhaps and/or possibly you might be on to something like a path or journey or even a voyage that ends with you having something not unlike what one or another could call under the right circumstances...a point!:)
This interview was fascinating. I appreciate those who can make me laugh. Thank you.
So happy for Craigs return...on my birthday!!
Ferguson! Great to see you, nobody on late night can hold a candle to you. Your quick genuine whit is surely missed!
I love KPCS. It's better than any talk show you can find on television. I love Craig and still miss him every weeknight at 12:30. Thank you Kevin for doing this so well
First time I've seen Craig without that SNAKE MUG. I wrecked my sleep staying up to watch his late night show
What a great interview. I just recently found Craig Ferguson on UA-cam. I was raising kids during his entire late show and never saw a single one or heard of him. I grew up on David Letterman and loved him. Now I wish I would have known about Craig because I really love the shows. Better late than never I guess.

i am inspired! i am getting closer to the end of this interview and so far am recognizing, this interview just keeps getting better and better. thank you thank you......
I really enjoy Craig's little rants. That's what he's been holding back all these years on Late Late Night show.
27:30. Me too! "1984" was my 2nd book, the 1st being "Just William." AND I was 16 years old.
Great discussion, I very much enjoyed everyone in the episode! I particularly loved Craig, as usual! Sending love from Europe!
Just stumbled onto this show a few weeks ago and I'm hooked. Great interviews with great guests. Thanks folks.
I loved Craig's interview with Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu. You're the best Craig.
He won the show it's one and only Peabody Award. Very prestigious award too.
@@Fee212 The Peabody award is the best any one can get. Well awarded. Good on you Craig.
I have nothing but the greatest respect for Craig!
Great interview Kevin. I miss Craig on Late Night for sure.
Could you imagine an 1 1/2 hour of Chappelle and Ferguson having a genuine conversation? Would be live changing
One hour on it totally badass. Craig Ferguson gets the point.
I'm pretty sure that would be the next job offer he'd turn down.
Fantastic interview - one of the best ever from anyone
Careful Icarus...
MrKaross I miss Geoff
Don't fly too close to the sun.
OH Whatsacominago
Yousef Jeyawi With your vandyke beard.
I want Craig's books...all of them...now! :-)
The Golden Rule begins with kindness and compassion which does lead to creative thought towards others.
Craig is so clever, modest, handsome, genuine and Scots. Love him most because of his lack of ego and he doesn't have a phoney bone in his body. Welcome back to Scotland lad. ♥️ 🥰 😍
Good for Craig Ferguson...a true American.
I never got Kevin before I took the time to listen to him. I had no opinion either way. Now I have a deep respect. I hope to see him perform some day. Great job team helping Kevin put out this fun and, to me, compelling content.
watching from Victoria, British Columbia....big fan of Craig Ferguson, and Tutu was correct....we need Craig's kind of crazy.
yo craig, your allison brie interviews are legendary
This is my 3rd time viewing/listening to this interview. I love this episode! I've listened to it twice on the Stitcher app, and now I'm here to watch what I've listened to. I'm a fan fan fan! (Plus, Kevin and I played pool on the "Truth or Consequences, NM" movie shoot once so I'm in for the long haul, baby!)
i'm very glad he cut his hair and shaved the sides again. he is still incredibly gorgeous. i do wish i had more of his thought process, can't lie.
Bbelblelo listen to more punk music
Eat more fiber
56.30ish. Spot on, Craig. Love and discipline are opposite sides of the same coin. Time more parents learned that we're parents with responsibility to raise the next generation. Not superannuated children who are just here to be teens or pre teens forevermore.
I so miss Craig (and Geoff Peterson)!
Love this interview.....c.f. Is the best
You should be rewarded in the best possible way. Thank you.
Great interview.
Part of the best day.

You know what? I just LIKE these guys.
fuckin' A. i love craig; even more now that he's extracted himself from the CBS machine. punk fuckin' rock indeed.
Great interview!
I learned in Catholic school that the camel passing through the eye of a needle is actually a reference to some gates that a camel would have to pass through but they would have to be unloadedof their cargo and so it was a metaphor about men unloading their worldly goods before entering the kingdom of heaven.
This was an awesome interview. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

He won the genetic lottery with that hair
Loved every part of it (audio like it was recorded in a large cave aside).
Never get enough. A+
i just watched the first interview you had with him, happy to see another!
It was great to see Craig give an interview. What would also be great is to see him in a feature film.
Check out 'the big tease' (1999). Hilarious
Random Access Memoirs is a great title
@41:16 spot-on Jay Leno impression !
awesome interview :) love and miss seeing Craig, but please fix the audio for future interviews.
Applause for Craig's last words 1:02:52 ..miss him, so much needed, especially nowadays
Even more now 😔
3:12 before ya get your Craig fix
57:24 for a nice bit of craig philosophy
good to see this
Craig as infectious as ever.
I would love to see Craig Ferguson and Dylan Moran on a stand up comedy gig.
I don't care how old he is, he is just so fucking hot and that accent.
yuss! tutsi-frutsi!
The amount of love I have for this fucking guy. fuckin punk rock and heavy fuckin metal. Long live Craig Fucking Ferguson
Wow those Santa Ana winds must of been blowing that day.
Craig!!I miss you on tv!!!
That wall hook bugs the heck out of me-- a mini meat hook waiting to happen.
I will ALWAYS believe in Craig!!!! 😁😉
He looks like one of those guys my Grandpa used to play cards with at the bar. All the old boys back then wore these "utility greys" like they all worked for the power company or city shop but had no labels on em.
Nice hair, Craig.
Seems like he's got a lot more of his accent back since I last saw him. Which is cool.
Fuckin Awesome interview!! Thanks you so much!! Well done you guys!! Craig is one of the best 🤘🏼🤘🏼
49 minutes into this, big hug to Ferguson for his comment on being an American
If only Seth Meyers could tire of his show and walk away.......I really wish Ferguson could come back for a show -
I miss the puppets, especially Sid the Cussing Bunny! What a vicious little rabbit that Cockney Bunny was... He's a Cyber-Bunny!
Hi Kevin!
How about getting Maria Bamford on the KPCS?
so honest, so simple and so inspiring...take a few bows fellas or curtsy, if you prefer....
great one but way too short.
I am watching these men talking, and I am thinking "BALLS" :D
Your Shatner is immortal Kevin. I'm in.
I will watch fuckin anything with Craig Ferguson in it. He's one of the best "celebrity" ever.
Too poor to have Netflix, so here I am watching him talk sitting down. I know for fact he will make it interesting anyways. Long live hobos! Balls.
(43:37)
Can someone explain to me what Ferguson meant by "wrote me a joke th- 'wrote me a joke'. "
Is he just saying that it was a stolen well-known joke?
Mshojat I think more specifically he's saying his writer stole a joke from another late night monologue for use in one of Craig's monologues
I can’t reconcile the punk references with the patriotism, it just doesn’t mesh. I love Craig, he’s so refreshing as a talk show host, and so handsome, but don’t think I’ll delve into his seemingly Libertarian POV in his books.
Respect Craig. Britney Spears, Amanda Bynes, Charlie Sheen... the jokes and exploitation of their break downs were quite cruel.
Holy crap, their Lenos are great!
I MISS CRAIG!!!!!
LOVE CRAIG SO FUCKING MUCH, SO SLEPT-ON!
hot pockets!
Let me get this straight: you've got lav mikes and the sound is picked up by a cell phone or something? Check your cables, guys. And love your main squeeze, too, whynot :) Brains, man... brains... that's always where the highest electricity happens. Keep up the good work!

matte0001 that must be a record
The story about him firing a writer for stealing a joke, I like it. I think you see a real man and personality there. His character showed.
After 2.30, let's go straight to the guest..

The airplane story. I can relate. Lol
