Thank you. Yes, this is how I have understood how the French stay so slim. Compared say with the typical American diet. I love the fact the French don't deprive themselves having treats and they aren't avoiding fruit and vegetables or following keto diet which is so popular right now. I have no idea why more people don't look to the French way of eating/living rather than these quick fix weight loss diets, where you can't eat fruit or have carbs or milk and bread etc.
Beach Girlie yes definitely. we usually don’t follow specific diets, and the gym is not the most popular place to move! A balanced diet which includes fruits, veggies and bread is key! I can attest to the beautiful shops in Paris. Each offering is presented with perfection and unbelievable richness and decadence. Those establishments that have achieved certification for perfection are the best ones to frequent. However, there are plenty of wonderful bakeries in France to delight even the most discerning taste buds.

It seems the French look at pastries as a part of life. In the states, eating a pastry people make you feel guilty, like "it's a treat, every once in a while ". Yet than they eat fast food and boxed food regularly.
@@crashcox Hello! As a french person, I can tell you we dont usually eat that, but it depends on your family, for some people, eating croissants on sunday mornings can be some kind of tradition! As for baguettes (bread in general), I know that when im at parents place during holidays or weekends, they usually buy it everyday (especially when my grandmother is around) but I almost never eat it on my own (but I absolutely LOVE it). As for the patisseries, its mostly a pleasure we like to have from time to time, and it can be because there is a birthday, you’re invited to a friend’s place for dinner so you’re bringing dessert (or inviting them at your place), family meeting or just because they are so damn good and you want to enjoy them😂
@@crashcox Oh and for breakfast nowadays people are pretty basic, it could be bread (or toast) with butter, jam or something else like nutella, lots of people eat cereals as well, some like to have a savory breakfast, some just dont eat any breakfast, there is no food rule on that, but the culture is that usually breakfast is about having something sweet. I personally dont really eat breakfast, but I enjoy both sweet and savory, but if I have time or want a breakfast, its probably be more savory than sweet.
