A friend of mine and her husband backpacked through Europe for an anniversary trip. They would buy pastries and coffees for a park breakfast and then a baquette and chunk of cheese for lunch later on. They just ate their way through Paris and London! My dream trip!!
One of the things I love of living in Europe (I live in Barcelona) is that you can go to a random store and it can be SO beautiful on the inside... Even a farmacy 😍💕
I went to Paris in September for a week, and everyday I would try new pastries. I was in such a dreamy state, it's crazy how food has such an impact on me. I love eating, love desserts and definitely loved watching you guys enjoy your french pastries.
Such an enjoyable video. Watching you and Brian sample the goodies on a park bench, seeing bits of Paris streets, and that stunning interior of Stoher....magnifique! I haven't been to Paris in many, many years and had forgotten how beautiful the city is.
My sister and I went to France in 1973, or thereabouts. Divine! We didn’t eat any pastries but we did eat bread…..and brought home on the plane about 8 loaves. Thank you for sharing this beautiful video with me!!!
I love Paris, lived there for a while and visit often. This was pastry lover's fantasy. And I agree with the person in the comments who said you should do a miniseries visiting the world's best pastry shops, speaking with the pastry chefs and doing pastry tastings. That would be awesome!
My mother is Parisian and my favorite memories were when I spent a month with her in Paris 25 years ago. Haven’t been back since. Wish I could visit again! The best food in the world!
As much as I love your recipes (and any time you want to come and live with Italy and cook for me, let me know!) But when you live in France, the pastries, cookies, and cakes are so melt-in-your-mouth delicious and so inexpensive, it just doesn't make sense to cook for special occasions - or breakfast, for that matter, when there's a wonderful Boulanger/Patisserie on almost every corner...It's an indulgence you get used to! Loving the tour of my favorite bakeries in Paris!
Wow, you went to my favorite country doing what I would love to do. I am so glad you and your family were able to go together. Thank you for sharing the lovely French pastries. Now I know where to go and try the goodies with my husband. Merci
Paris is on my bucket list. I loved seeing all the landmarks and scenery but watching your joy as you try all those pastries is wonderful. The wonder of discovery. More , please.
What a treat! I’m not physically able to travel 🧳 due to my age and disabilities, but I felt twenty years old again watching you stroll through Paris on this gorgeous day. All of the pastries 🥮 looked scrumptious. I know all of you made some memories that will last a lifetime. 💕🥮
My dream city break. It’s years since I’ve been in Paris. I can nearly taste the coffee éclair which is my favourite, then pistachio. All the pastries look delicious. We had a Parisian au pair when the kids were younger and she brought us back some lovely macarons in tons of flavours.
I haven’t been to Paris in years, I loved watching this as well as all the patisserie shops there are now, old and new! I think it is so awesome that y’all bring your kids when you travel, I also traveled a lot when I was young. It really is so good to see the world especially so young, it opens your mind and perspective of life. I hope y’all have a great time and safe travels!!!
On my first trip to Paris back in 2002, I discovered Opera House honey. It's sold in the gift shop of the Opera Garnier and comes from the bees who have nested on the roof of the opera house. It's the best tasting honey I have ever come across and I wound up buying a case of it.
Ohhhhh I'm so happy for you ! Both of my kids live in Paris, and I just came back last month. There is. absolutely nowhere in the world where the croissants are better! Have such fun.
This video is a treat to the eyes. Everything looks amazing and yummy. I hope you'll be making some of these treats in your videos when you get back home. You both look like you're having a wonderful vacation and I am sure the boys loved all the goodies you bought.
Even though we can't see your family, I can feel that they are proud of you in every way, I really watch everything you do with admiration, I hope I can find the strength to do these things. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Bonjour, I am so glad you came to Paris where I live. Seeing all the beautiful streets and bakeries thanks to your videos gives me so much ideas to do after my diet 😅🤣 you are lucky the weather is so perfect.
Thanks for the beautiful sights and the deliciousness looks of the pastries! Now if I can just get a whiff of them I would be in heaven! Great video! Continue to have a wonderful and safe trip!
I loved this so much. Going to all those fancy pastry shops you can just see the excitement on your face John. I spent a little time in Paris many many years ago and i remember being in awe of the pastry and croissants. I think the pastries are a little less sweet than in America and Canada. Europeans sure know how to present their pastries.
Fun fact in Paris Artisan Boulanger means the pastries bread must be made in the premises. It’s not just the big name Boulangeries, even the smallest Artisan Boulangerie rival the big names because of the skill. Sorry for my English I am French.
John, I think (pretty sure) this was the most beautiful video I've ever seen on youtube. It made me miss Paris so much, and yet, I was glad I was once there. Thank you.
I really enjoyed watching you guys eating all those amazing treats, and seeing the beautiful bakeries, Stoher is so beautiful never saw any bakery like it before. Thank you for taking us along. Have a great trip.
I never went to any of this Bakeries, which now I regret. But I ate a good amount of quiches, baguettes, croissant, pain au Chocolat and pain au rosines (raisin snails) from local bakeries. That vanilla bean, the raspberry and lemon desserts look so yummy! Can't wait to see if you post the diy videos. 💖🥐🥖🥯🍰💖
thank you for this beautiful video! as a former pastry chef and now celiac and unable to eat any of these, I'm really happy to watch someone enjoy pastries so much 😍
If you need a cheap and delicious lunch just go to a bakery and buy a regular baguette (about a euro) and then a cheese shop where you can just get the cheapest cheese and it will be devine, especially to eat outside!
You and Brian are having the time of your lives, I'm so jealous John. Paris is my theme in our home, hopefully, one day I might get there. Please make the Vanilla Bean dessert if you can. Love to you and your family.
