I was in Paris last week and I can even describe how much I love Boulangeries. Every morning I go to one, buy some coffee and treats and walk to Trocadero to enjoy them. Best vacations of my life!
Tip for foreigners: don't count calories, just take your time to slowly enjoy every bite and every moment! Hot coffee or tea (with no sugar) will help you stop craving for more.
Alors on y va 😊
Actually the man Antoine is French and from Paris but he moved to The US when he turned 18 and moved back for his American wife. Antoine is a professional speaker.
After watching the two of you enjoy the best food and pastries Paris has to offer for the past few years I will finally be in Paris in 3 weeks to get to try it all for myself. As a matter of fact we just booked ourselves an evening on the Bustronome because of you. Can't wait to see all the sights and taste all of the delights and delicacies in the City of Lights! So excited, I'm getting choked up just thinking about it! Thanks so much for all the advice and recommendations. You guys are terrific, please don't ever stop! Vive Les Frenchies!
Thank you very much for sacrificing 'votre ligne' for us. All the patisserie looked absolutely divine. I am so looking forward to returning to Paris. Have a good rest of the weekend.
I am a Parisian and I like to watch your videos because there are very well done and it is always interesting to discover your city through the eyes of a foreigner. I have one comment about Bon Marché… « Bon Marché « in French means « cheap »… which is absolutely not the case! Bon Marché is one of the MOST expensive grocery in Paris… It is worth to be seen but somehow very snobbish. You can find very good pastries in little modest bakeries. Just ask if they are not industrial ones.. normally when this is the case it is often defrost and the bakery is obliged by law to say it on the label for health reason. But again you can find very good ones for twice less the price than in Bon Marché !!! Enjoy Paris ! ( try the 13th arrondissement : mine… not a lot of tourists and worth it!)
Le Bonmarché might be more expensive but we are talking about a 4 euro-difference. Not a big deal when you want to do yourself a favor from time to time. The choice of Le Bonmarché is a good one
That sesame vanilla pastry looked incredible! We are in the US but my city has a French patisserie (with several chefs who studied in France or hail from France) with many of these pastries. Looks like a trip there is in the plans for today…and I concur - the Saint Honoré is so delightful.
I think secretly I travel to Paris to eat pastries 😅 Every single day I go on a hunt for a new one and sometimes more 🤭🫣 It’s soooo good, you can’t go wrong! I’m adding your recommendations to my list for my future trips! Thank you for such a delightful and delicious video! ♥️
We went to Paris last summer and enjoyed several of your amazing recommendations. We'll be back in two weeks (can't wait!!), and we'll be eating a lot more sweets thanks to this video! Thanks for all that you do to help make Paris wonderful for the rest of us!
I am in Paris right now and I already had great ideas from your past videos. So this one will make my next 7 days delicious. Thank you so much for all that you share here. I hope to meet you one day. I really enjoy the way you present the information and both your personalities. 😊
I have just discovered your channel and to watch this video was a painful experience since I am diabetic; having said that I really enjoyed it. I love France and everything traditionally and genuinely French regarding art, architecture and gastronomy. I wish I could live in such a wonderful country. Regards and thank you VERY much!
Most delicious video you’ve made. I was raised on cream based pies but have gravitated towards fruit pies. The rhubarb and apple pastries looked the best. Meanwhile today I’ve baked chocolate chip cookies and French toast scones.
Fabulous! What a wonderful excursion to the best patisseries in Paris! Thanks so much for this ! I can not eat sugar but this is a terrific reference for those who do!
Now this is decadent and that's a good thing! Every Easter we had strawberry meringue dessert...so simple and sweet...so that lemon tart was a winner. Actually every one was great ❤❤❤
God Bless you guys for this!! The best pastry we had in Paris last year was at the Louvre.. We're coming in on Thursday so this will be Helpful.. Hopefully things will calm down a bit!
Lemony-Limoney, I think we might have a song on our hands. My husband and I are coming to Paris at Christmas!! I'm so excited, thank you for this and all your fabulous videos, they helped in convincing him. I'm a little sad to not be there in Strawberry and Rhubarb season, but I'm definitely searching out the Saint-Honore, sesame-anything, and that pistachio-orange square, good god.
We will be there early June. Been to Bon Marche a few times the food hall is amazing but for some reason we haven't eaten there, that is definitely going to change. Can't wait.
Great video! 👏👏👏👏 I would take the bus to Carton from my apartment, just to buy my daily baguette (aux céréales) - and a sandwich for the day. The pastries are amazing, of course - and the coffee - but don’t leave without grabbing one of their award-winning croissants and/or baguettes!
One of my favorite things about the Bon Marche was the butter section. The sel fume butter is outstanding. I’m kicking myself for not getting one of the pastries there, though.
While waiting for a train, we stumbled upon Carton by accident when searching for coffee. The quiche there was amazing!!! Light and fluffy…the best I ever had.
Gem of a video, thanks. You have to know where to go but also what to get. I’m going to pay more attention to those descriptions. Such delicate flavors! Thanks, merci!
Thanks to this video I tried the Saint Honoré last week. It was great but it’s now €14. And it’s at La Grande Épicerie de Paris, not the Bon Marché - unless they’re one and the same. I ended up circling the Bon Marché and saw the right shop across the street as I was leaving.
Antoine, thank you for demonstrating a macaronade! When my hubby and I went to Jacobine on 27 April this year (2023) they had a raspberry one. I love raspberry and so I had to try it. It was amazing. I’m still dreaming about it. 🤩😆
Thanks for showing such a variety of pastries, so often, we’re just shown the most popular for tourists. I love vanilla and that’s rarely shown. Also sesame is amazing. I also love their 4 cheese pizza with Roquefort, show that too (if you like it) 💙🙏🏻💙
A few months ago I was also at the bonne marché for a pastry. In le restaurant La Table on the 1st or 2nd floor. It was just a bit more expensive there than where you were ( on the ground floor). But the same pastries. So save some money? ground floor is the option.
Last week I was in Paris and my Airbnb was on Magenta Blvd near Gare de Nord, so of course I had to try Carton. The croissant was one of the best I have had, crispy but did not leave a ton of crumbs. The rasberry passion fruit dessert was amazing. I had planned to stop the next day to get the sesame noir vanille entremet but unfortunately, they had an unexpected closure for the afternoon and I was on my to the airport to leave. Note to self, should have bought it the day before and took it to the airbnb for dessert.
Hi guys, great video. I will be there in 4 days yippee lol. I have been taking notes as I have a big sweet tooth. Your descriptions of the food you are trying is awesome. I look forward to pigging out haha. As always have a good one eh!😁🇨🇦

@les frenchies we had the best pastries in a restaurant of a culinary school. Best pastries and best hot cocoa. It was in one of those little streets on our way to St Germain. We have been in Paris many times after that and were never able to find it 😢
