I don't get the purposely spilling chocolate outside the cup. Such a waste...
They want you to lick the cup clean. Similar to licking the plate clean. To show that you like it. However, people reuse those cups. So, it sounds gross. If I lick a cup like that, it would be if I do it myself with a cup I use daily at home. Lmfao.

The dark sugars one seems the most practical for like a walk around and drink hot chocolate. The shavings will melt quicker into the cup and then 🤤🤤🤤

I think Dark Sugars should’ve won because they still make it a but fancy with the shavings but it quickly melts into the drink. It also is good for sitting inside and walking around.
I thought mamasons was better for carrying around since dark sugars is top heavy at first and if ur traveling around with it, because the shreds are so paper thin, the wind will be ur enemy
tbh thats not a good way of deciding which one is the best. Only thing that really matters is taste, at least me to me. If it taste good enough i dont mind a bit of mess or hassle. It doesn't have to be an every day drink akin to a morning coffee. It can be something you have on occasion as a treat, especially considering the sugar content in these drinks, so the practicality of walking around with it isnt a factor.
Dark sugars looks good, I ranked them at #2 but that Said Dal.. looks next level.. when they poured the 3 different chocolates around the cup.. I was like oooohh I have to do that at a holiday party one year. .

Chinchin Labs hands down won it, they have the best tasting chocolate.. even if that mallow was on the way and sticky af. I visited all four. Dark sugars was just okay.. reminds you of homemade choco drink ur favorite granny makes, but there MORE places that serve better hot chocolates than these chosen 4! Food Insider just hyped these up!
That spilled chocolate is making me nervous as hell, I can just imagine that all over my fingers and later clothes. Because there is no way I won't touch it on accident. Also not being able to properly cup the cup is so annoying 👀

Definitely Definitely recommend dark sugars! their family owns and runs their own cocoa plantations in Ghana and the chocolate is just amazing!

I visited London last month and I can confirm that Dark Sugars' hot chocolate is amazing. I was worried about the shavings at first but they melted quickly into the hot chocolate and just made it richer! Also, I tried their hot chocolate with chili for the first time and needless to say, I miss it a lot!! Can't wait to go back to London again just so I can have that hot chocolate again 🤧

Dark sugars was my go to place when I was in London 🇬🇧 . The workers were so friendly and nice and their hot chocolate is the thickiest and most delicious hot chocolate I ever had.

The overspilled hot chocolate was done to be "artsy", but I want to drink my hot chocolate...not wear it on my hands. Yes, I know you hold it by the handle. The Chin Chin Lab's hot chocolate was more aesthetically pleasing, reasonably priced plus I LOVE marshmallows in mine 😊💙

One thing I absolutely hate about viral drinks like these is the amount of crap they pile on top or stick to the sides. Like it’s such an inconvenience to not be able to properly drink something you probably paid quite a bit for....

London is the best city in the world, great cosmopolitan cultural mix, my favourite city and being Scottish this is not easy to write.
That 2nd one would've been much more visually appealing if they had chilled the cups beforehand so the chocolate on the side was somewhat hardened.

Said Dal, crazy expensive. When I lived in Lugano, (Italian speaking city in Switzerland) the hot chocolate was nearly half this price and slightly thicker and darker, it was also served with fruit, banana, grape, kiwi etc) to dip in the hot chocolate. So many places in London are a total rip-off.

@tazzywazzygaming Sometimes, and sometimes the prices are a rip-off. Value for money, and I don't mean cheap, I mean price vs quality. In London, is hard to find.
To be honest apart from Dark Sugars, I found none of the others appetizing or categorized as hot chocolate at all. Said dal looks disgustingly messy, Mamasons cannot be defined as a hot chocolate and I hate the fact that Chin chin has a gigantic scoop of marshmallow ball right on top.

It looks like sipping/drinking chocolate, which is very creamy, thick and rich. I can’t imagine drinking as much as was served in the video though. Normally sipping chocolate is served in very small amounts. It’s super delicious and doesn’t taste like just melted chocolate.
Looks like an Italian hot chocolate (part custard) that Carluccios (RIP) used to do in small cups as it was incredibly rich. It was awesome esp when you dipped in a croissant or some such. The amount in those huge bowl cups would seriously challenge most individuals....And if I do say so myself, I am pretty adept at shovelling fair quantities of the sweet and rich! Happy Hot Chocolate hunting.

Italian hot chocolate is amazing. It's like a slightly thinner American chocolate pudding, and is challenging to drink in quantities as much as thinner hot cocoa. Also doesn't help that it's rich. But if you serve it with brioche bread to dip in, it makes a great desert.
Despite hating chocolate, love watching vids like this. Never hurts to know go spots for traveling🤷🏽♀️💗

Two big problems with the third one:

Never been to Dark Sugars. I've made my own hot chocolate as a child and would make a big mess putting in extra bits of chocolate or marshmallows or both. This is what their hot chocolate looks like, child like, messy, but hits the soul in all the right places. 😅

CottoniiClouds microwave it with vanilla coffee creamer, whole milk, a splash of cream and use two packets of hot chocolate instead of one. Top with whipped cream and caramel syrup. Then tell me that it’s crap.

When I used to live in London, id go to Dark Sugars. Their hot chocolate is soo good! The vibes and atmosphere is always a great time! Like I remember dancing with the workers while i was waiting for my order.

There is a gas station, Arco. Where I get gas for my car. And they have good thicc hot chocolate. And it costs around, depending on the size of the cup. So, expensive isn't always best. Sometimes good stuff can cost ya only $1.

The Dark Sugars one looks better than the rest, in fact, I’ve been there before. My brother wanted to try the hot chocolate there on December, 2018. It was really good, the perfect amount of chocolate for me. It’s very warm, not thick at all and not too sweet. 😍

I'm yet to try Chin Chin labs but I watched this a few years ago, and as soon as I moved to London I visited SAID Soho, Mamasons China Town and Dark Sugars Greenwich... I thought I would like Dark Sugars, but I didn't enjoy their hot chocolate... I would definitely say that SAID tops the three, but I really need to try Chin Chin labs now 😭😭😭

I believe you! I'm like the two hosts are delusional. You can see that the other hot chocolates are TOO THICK! The first one looked like hot chocolate, but the others look like hot pudding, hot syrup, and hot cream. Yuck!
Real italian hot chocolate is meant to essentially be like melted chocolate with milk, so the thickness was fine

I've only tried the Chin Chin club marshmallow hot chocolate and like he said, it's more of a desert. It is nice but It's also massively sickly and not something you can enjoy over a long time.
