Great job on the remake! I love catching in remakes the next day. I don't use shock springs here in Kentucky we're not required to use them. I like to only give them a short chain ⛓ so they can't get a running start hardly ever any foot damage. Thanks for sharing brother
Great video I also trap here in NC started late but got bless with 11 so far but those t bar shock springs that you mentioned cause me a coyote and trap today I'm going to weld all my j hooks for next season that tbar chock can get in a bind and open the j hook
Nice one. Learning a ton from you just getting into trapping.. btw what hammer do you use? I remember you said the ones with the plastic/orange handle blow and I'm looking to get something.. Thanks
Yes it definitely does. Only way of working around that is hanging the trail cam up REALLY high in a tree. Literally, use a ladder to hang trail cam and angle it down on your set
I was thinking the samething about the shock springs. I removed all my shock springs and also removed a few links of chain from my traps. I think I have 3 links on my traps now before they connect to the anchor. Traps bed so much better now. I didn't have any bad feet on coyotes or foxes this year with the springs removed. I'm using Duke 550s.
Thanks for sharing your opinionon the shock springs, love the Remake sets. Have a BLESSED day and keep SHARING your PASSION

Good to know!! Looks like I’ll be welding mine as well! Haha
Great video i really enjoy watching you trap simple and can relate on those crappy springs i lost my equipment and went to the connor springs. Trap on
Those shock springs I had before are unfortunately built to work. Not built to last.
That trap almost bit you!! Thanks for not editing that out 🤣
Haha glad you found humor in it 😂
👍

Awesome job bro. Gonna try some of that lure.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wish I could come and meet you man but I'll b busy that weekend
Dang! Well if you get freed up I’ll be there the ENTIRE event. Maybe I’ll be there again next year!
Nice work why don't you use gloves for the Bate and the sheep wool ?
I was spending too much money on rubber gloves doing it that way haha
@@CarolinaCoyote OK thank you Just asking I'm going to try some old deer stakes for Coyote bate do you think it would work
Possibly, probably won’t be as affective though
@@CarolinaCoyote OK I shoot a big buck and Last year and had a Coyote try to get it 10 minutes Later
Do you dispatch in the chest or inthe head?
Need a website to order turkey calls.
So you don’t worry about a backing to your sets or guiding ?
Not always. That hole is so deep that there’s no way they’ll get the bait out from the back side
@@CarolinaCoyote Thank you! Especially if the hole is angled in right?
Correct! 45ish degree angle
@@CarolinaCoyote Do you think infrared light flash from trail cam scares coyotes off if they see it?
Yes it definitely does. Only way of working around that is hanging the trail cam up REALLY high in a tree. Literally, use a ladder to hang trail cam and angle it down on your set
If the chain is no longer than 8 inches from solid ground to the base of the trap you don’t have to use a shock spring soos ya know
I know but mine are and it’s helps save the foot on foxes if they get caught in those 550s
@@CarolinaCoyote 9 outta 10 of mine are just fine but I gotcha. Are you still selling to the live market?
