Wow! Amazing job. I am learning as much as I can can, so within a few more months I will be opening a shop in my country in South America. Kudos! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience.
Hi Steve I was very impressed with the results and would be interested to see the complete engine from the kawasaki results is there a video available??
@@kentvapourblasting2374 Oh interesting, so it’s water & abrasive. How does it leave such a smooth somewhat glossy finish. Over your normal sandblasted matte finish. My guess would be a finer abrasive?
Looks amazing. Im running a 170-375 glass mesh from potters and cant come close to that sheen. Id love to know the process on how to clean engine parts prior to assembly. Thank you .
Two questions even after thoroughly cleaning you hear horror story's of media found inside engines. I had vapour blasting on bare hubs and a few other small parts 220 pound! !
Hi I’m thinking of setting up my own business locally doing this as a part time job. I’m looking at a silent 40cfm compressor which makes barely any noise. How much noise does the actual machine/pump make please
It doesn't damage the surface he says, he removed the aluminium oxide layer which is way harder than the base material, this guy chats garbage. Never ever blast a bearing surface!!
@Chromatic Moon But what is H20 ? please. What grade (mesh) Alloy oxide and the grade of Glass bead did you use in the video Also how much of each did you put in ? Many Thanks. Rob.
I was told by an individual that paint can be removed and that I should try using vapor blasting instead of using an aircraft paint remover on an aluminum motorcycle frame that is being prepped for powder coating. I told him that is not what vapor blasting is made for based on researching the process of vapor blasting.
In this video, and in others, you are blasting the machined surfaces. In particular the machined face on the cylinder head. Are you not worried about head gasket leaks after leaving a rough surface?
Is it safe to not isolate the shock absorber piston rod which is chromed and polished for maximum sealant? Even thought the vapour blasting is very gentle with the surface it stil makes microscopic pores in the material or have I forgotten something?
Thank you for the reply. What is the substance comprised of? We have an application for medical mould tool that require a surface clean with no metal removal. Is this pissible?
Lol. It's crazy that people are ask8ng what size glass or sand it's using......it's not a sand blaster. It's called VAPOR BLASTING. It's high pressure water.

Vapour Blasting Car Cylinder head and Motorcycle Shock Absorber
what do you charge to do that cylinder head please?
Clean shiny like this. What number is Glass.blad sand used? I want to know what number do you use?
Is there any risk of hurting gasket side?
Hello, is there any problem with blasting gasket surface ? I mean for the sealing surface?
Vapour blasting has always fascinated me! You can make the most grubby dirty engine part etc and make it look new .
Great video.
I've been aware of vapour blasting for many years but never saw it done until now. The end results have always been very impressive.

Hi what's the best way to clean engine block after aqua blast from leftover glass media ?
For dimension sensitive parts it's got to be the best option. It's beyond a good result.
I think i would enjoy doing that for a living ☺
I do exactly that and it's addictive
Hi Steve, how would you insure that all the media is out of the head before re-using it in an engine ?
Hi Steve I was very impressed with the results and would be interested to see the complete engine from the kawasaki results is there a video available??
Is that just high pressured water? I’m confused how it makes it so clean without any chemicals.
Hi, It’s a mixture of water and media, mainly glass beads

If you look at Vixen vapour blasting who manufacture the equipment it’s all explained there, I’m only a user not a supplier 😊
Very impressive, what´s the media you use for aluminum engines? I did read about nutshell particles, or/and ceramic microespheres...?

How loud is the machine?
Things like engine parts in aluminium as the cylinderhead and what not, do you recommend giving it something for protection after?
Surface is sealed, no more protection required
How is the surface seal, seems like you're just using water?
Aluminum alloy parts recommend some type of corrosion inhibitor...like alodine.
@@kentvapourblasting2374are you using glas beads as medium?
Which type of slurry pump are you using? I love this process!
Josh Scarborough whatever Vixen uses, it’s a brand new machine
Question. Is there ANY chance that this method could damage any of the Gasket Surfaces? Does Vapor Blasting REMOVE any material? Thanks
Hi, no it won’t damage or remove material
May I ask what media you are using in the machine?
Glass bead and aluminium oxide
Can car gearbox do the same cleaning processing without causing any internal damages? Thanks.
Sorry No, I can’t blank off the apertures

Hi there from empty how much meddium do you put in.? And what size.
How does it work on heavy rust? Like old brake calipers.
Crikey's mate love your clips, need one for the 31 Packard project, wondering can the cabinets be used for both abrasive and vapour.
Thanks for the comment. No, dry blasting is a different system
Can vapor blasting be used only with degreaser and air? I worry about media in small oil holes, threads, etc.
Hello, could you tell me what air parameters and media are using? Thanks a lot.
Wow Amazing Very impressed
